Screen protector for Samsung i780

Can anyone suggest a good screen protector for the i780? I like Brando's screen protectors and they have one for the samsung i780: http://shop.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=02405 but it looks like the screen protector for the Treo 750. If so, then this will only cover the touch screen part and will not include the par with the Samsung name and the part below the screen.
I want a screen protector to cover the whole glass front of the Samsung i780 so does anyone know a compatible screen protector to do this? Preferably one like Brando's.

Maybe you could use the matte screen protector for the i-Phone from dealextreme.com - just cut out the necessary dimensions.. that's what I plan on doing. Hopefully the screen will be more visible under direct sunglight with the matte coating...
Real glare effect reduction?
What about Proporta one?
It seems to cover the all glass and promises to improve the performanche in direct sunlight (the worst cons of i780 in my opinion).
A good review here.
Anybody tested it?
I´ve just bought that one from Brando, and it´s perfect. Easy to install, easy to avoid bubbles, and it is the right dimensios incluind the top of the pda. It covers the all glass from top to bottom. When installed, you can´t tell that there is a screen protector installed. Great colors
The proporta one, i didn´t like it, because it was very dim. The screen stay´s not very clear to read.
concur - I purchased the brando one and whatever picture they use on the website - it's the right dimensions for the i780.
not sure if they make one for your device, but this has been performing fantastically on my Treo: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341689
Does someone know is brando i780 screen protector really removable and reusable and also washable?
Martin Fields protector also comes with a small camera protector, but 4 this price I'd buy a BoxWave AntiGlare protector.
But whatever, I'm gonna try the Brando one...

Is screen protector really required ?

I am asking because I noticed that the new screen is not as sensitive as previous ones (currently using it with factory film over front panel) and you do need to press harder, some finger gestures not working well.
On the other hand, this screen is supposed to be very durable due to new technology, so maybe no need to use screen protector at all ?
If you want scratch your screen while using your device, then you can just use your Diamond without the screen protection....

It depends also on the quality of your screen protection...
Is one needed? Well thats a matter of taste?
Is the included HTC one any good? Yes its excellent. Applies easily and is very clear... however it scratches very easily. This is no reflection on the actual screen of the Diamond itself, as it would take an awful lot more to scratch the actual screen.
the screen is excellent. much more responsive than on the other devices I've had, and yet I never used a screen protector on my universal or my athena. I wouldn't consider not using a screen protector as the diamond has been a bit of a scuff magnet, despite me keeping it in a leather case. I'm hoping backs for the device will be easy to come by!
you silly if you dont use a protector on this device imho
Of course without screen protector! I'm using touch screens 5 years now...SonyEricsson P800 era...till now none of my devices have been scratched!
Also the usability sucks big time with screen protectors!
If HTC really believed the Diamond can survive without a screen protector, why is one supplied inside the original package ?
Depends on your usage I suppose.
With my last 6-8 phones, I've never used any screen protection or even case and none of them got any scractch.
I always put my phone in my shirt/pants pocket, never in the same pocket with keys or coins.
With the Diamond, I only put the screen protecter only because HTC provided it. If they didn't give me one, I wouldn't even bother buying one. (Yes, still no scratch with my original HTC protector as well)
agree with techdave I have had 5 phones and I try to immediately cover it with screen protector, one time I waited for abit and end up have a scuff mark from something. As the saying goes 'sh*t happens' so why risk damaging your phone especially a beautiful one. I actually ordered one for the back too now, I really dont see it affecting the screen as some people say but they prob got some thicker cheap ones that prob will affect it.
I think of it this way, when I come to sell the phone all i have to do is remove the protectors and it will be good as new!
oh and I sold 4 of them with no complains of wear or tear!
It truly depends what kind of person you are. If your the kind that doesn't care about there Diamond and throws it everywhere then you need a protector. But if your the neat kind that his heart rips out when you see a scratch your probably are not going to need a protector, its really up to you
I really need it with my diamond.
never needed it with my touch
but this screen scratches soooo fasstt..
it looks better without,
but this is better then with scratches
The factory shipped screen protector for the Diamond is EXCELLENT. I hated these before and on all my other models I have not used them or removed them after a day. The diamond on is different - you just do not notice it is there. Therefore, my advice - use it!
Anyone fine the supplied HTC protector scratches the screen real easily?
Ive had my diamond for no more than 2 weeks and I have 3 fine scratches already. At £9.99 a pair for thes protectors, it isnt cheap.
the oem diamond screen protector does scratch easily...(the actual protector not the phone) once ive had my use out of the oem protector im going to use a martin fields protector as i hear they are the best.
Just stuck the screen protector on and I have the say it is really good. I managed to get it on perfect no bubbles at all. A few of my friends didn't even notice the screen protector was on. so far so good no scratches yet only had it on for 1 day.

I dispositioned a corner by 1mm on side, that resulted in a nasty unglued stripe there about 2-3 mm wide ... now looking for something really sharp to cut that mm off
It seems that many people believe that the diamond screen is more immune toward scratches, because it is protected by tempered glass.
The truth is that on top of the tempered glass, there is the touch surface, which is much less resistant to scratches than tempered glass (so it's touch surface => tempered glass = > lcd screen).
actually, the touch surface is below the plexiglas. that's why you have to press so hard. it's a resisitve touch surface, so you can see that it only interacts if you actually press the plexiglas so hard that it bends.
plexiglas can be very hard, but because the touch surface is resistive, they had to use soft plexiglas which is not scratch resistant at all.
anyway, I had a screen protector on my diamond and yesterday it somehow fell off the table. And a SCRATCH aaargghh! wait! it's only on the screen protector!
So I'd say you definitely need one.

Advice request for Screen Protector

Hi guys,
I saw several topics relative to screen protectors but I'm a bit lost when it comes to choose a good screen protector that fit my requirements..
Right now, I am using the screen protector (and back protector) delivered with the phone (not talking about the anti-shatter film), but I got recently an impact/scratches on the screen and I'd like to change the screen protector to something at least as good as the original sony screen protector.
I was quite interested in buying a tempered glass screen protector as it is highly resistant to scratches and has usually oleophobic coating, but I heard that it is very fragile and, once applied, the phone can't fit anymore in the sony charging dock (which is really a shame). But I'd like to have a confirmation from you guys regarding this?
Otherwise, can you please give me advice about a great plastic screen protector, easy to apply and efficient against scratches and fingerprints (oleophobic coating if it exists for plastic screen protector)?
I saw suggestions about the XtremeGuard one, is that really worth the price? What I don't like is you need water to install it onto the screen (that's why the HI-DEF one of this manufacturer looks better as you don't need water), also there's no hole for the proximity sensor, I heard that's sometimes a problem?
Thanks in advance for your advices!

S6 screen glass replacement

So I have been wondering whether or not should I buy a screen protector for my s6 I love the feel of the phone, also I hate screen protectors in general.Anyways,I was checking the price of the screen glass which is around 22$ but the digitizer 200$.Is it possible to replace the screen glass only without the digitizer? If yes, what are the odds of breaking the digitizer if the phone falls from my hands?I was willing to buy a transparent cover only when I go out.

remove mild screen scratches?

They are the kind you only see when you tilt screen one way or another, anyone know what will clear them up?
Don't try anything, it will make it worse. Put a tempered glass protector over the screen, it won't bother you with the scratch and it costs only around $5 if buy from China.
