I tried to install the changed Htc Sense Rom and all went wrong.
After that that i downgraded the to the old radio and spl. Then reverted to my nandroid backup.
After the first boot i noticed that gmail and all sync disapeared.
After that i install DRC83 and CMmod and at last the 32A kernel patch.
After that the keyboard stop working and i lost gmail.apk and all sync with google. What can i do? My phone is a HtcMagic 32A. Please someone help me.

Sorry if this is a N00B-Question:
I rooted my fresh Andoid with the follwowing ROMs:
JF 1.51 ADP
JF 1.51 EU
Cyanogen 3.9.7 Exp
and i am running into the exact same Problem all the time:
Both, Bluetooth and Wifi will not activate if I try, and the Screen Orientation Sensor is also not operating.
Sorry for not providing a log, but i needed to reflash Cyanogen 3.9.6 to Post this. 3.9.6 is working as intendet, with the mentioned Maps Bug which is solved in 3.9.7... Yes I wiped all the time, did not Help.
I hope this Bug is known to someone, since I did nothing but flashing some ROMs.
I have a pretty Standard Vodafone Magic CRB43 from Germany (since I am german...) SPL was as expected, i used the crios SPL update.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538633
This version of Cyanogen's 3.9.7 works fine on my Vodafone Magic, also from Germany. Try and see if it works, remember to wipe.
If g-sensor still does not work, remove /data/misc/akmd* /data/misc/rild* in recovery mode.
Thank you!
That is the very Thread i got my 3.9.6 from, but i overlooked the word "port" in the Thread-Title and thought it was the original^^
The new 3.9.7 is working perfectly even without any wipes...
As I expected: How very noobig of me
Solved and can be closed
I just got my phone back from a service, flashed it with CyanogenMod, and I'm noticing a similar issue with the sensors. Is the above instruction to delete those /data/misc/{akmd*,rild*} files the only way to trigger an auto-calibration? What other ways can the sensors be corrected?
Hello,
First post on this forum, took a lot of info from it, but I can't figure this one out by myself.
I have an issue with my camera. When I click on the camera icon, my screen blurs the same way as when you go to landscape mode, I get the B&W image of the camera icon, and the I get the message saying:
Sorry!
The application Camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
~Force close
The same happens for the camcorder. I have tried both soft and hard resets, with and without sd card, booted with and without sd card.
I have a Rogers HTC Magic, so it's a 32A version. I'm running CyanogenMod 4.0.4 with CyanogenMod 1.4 RecoveryImage. I rooted my phone using FlashRec 1.1.2 (http://zenthought.org/content/project/flashrec). Ported 4.0.4 using bcrook's method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544854), using the version based on 4.1.11.1.
I have done no 'crazy' things except for these. When I still had the stock Rogers ROM on there, I had no issues at all. This was less then 24 hours ago. I have installed a couple of apps from the market, but nothing intense.
I started having the issue with my camera the moment I started using the new ROM. However, even after re-flashing it (twice), the issue remains. I have pushed the 'Camera.apk' from the CyanogenMod 4.0.4 to my sd card and installed it, no luck.
As is clear, the issue is with the camera application. I can't use BarcodeScanner, since it relies on the camera as well. Same message shows up.
Is there any parent process/application that I can reinstall to make this work? I've redownloaded and reflashed 4.0.4 and the port based on 4.1.11.1, no luck.

update your rom. Cyan has 4.1.11.1 now..
I was planning on using a stable release only, but I'll try 4.1.11.1 tomorrow! Hopefully it will fix something!
Flashing to 4.1.11.1 and applying bcrook's kernel patch fixed the issue for me. Thanks! Mods can close the thread now to prevent hijacking.
your issue was the kernel.
4.0.4 is a cupcake build. and the 4.1.11.1 kernel is a donut build.
so i guess that was the problem.
Today I tried to update my rom from Aurora (build august 6) to the new 28005 build Nov 27. The reason I was updating was I had the issue where the SMS always read 1 new, when my inbox was empty. I figured I would update my radio and my rom
my old radio version was 1.14.25.05
the one i updated to was 1.14.25.35
it ran fine and then i tried flashing the new rom, and now it wont boot past the AT&T loading screen. I can get it into boot mode, and tried reflashing but still cant. I decided to do this on my new laptop with windows vista with the new sync center. I am looking through forums to help and have no idea. Did I need framework 3.5? Can I not flash a rom ontop of a rom? should i not have updated the radio? please help!
fixed the problem, had to restore the original flash rom
ok i im new at this i did the root... then installed cupcake 1.5
and everything was perfect... then a friend told me that super donut was the
best and fastest rom... so i downloaded it... since i installed it... my G1 just
crashes... with every rom i put in it crashes... i tried... cupcake 1.5, super donut with nexus 1.6, akirah 3.0 1.6...
and just crashes and crashes... it does self reboot and it crashes again...
im really pissed off its my new and only phone an i cant use it...
please please someone help me!!!!!!!!
Fixing that G1
There're some things you need to do. First I would recommend you should partition your sdcard, if you have RA-amon's recovery that should'nt be a problem. Alot of the roms out require updated radio and the danger SPL. If you came from cupcake then your radio and SPL are old. Maybe that's your problem you may not have the correct radio or SPL. Before you flash rom's always follow the instructions to the letter. Also alot of roms have automatic apps to sdcard, you need your sdcard partitioned for that. So first I would partition my sdcard, then update my radio and spl, then flash rom, and if you don't have RA-amon's recovery then get it.
Okay, I just rooted my brother's HTC Hero (GSM Unlock) and updated it to 2.1 Villain, but there were some bugs, like in the messages app, the key board wouldn't show up in a conversation. FB Sync wouldn't sync pictures to his contacts. Is there any way I can downgrade back to the original 1.5? If so, can anyone give me a link to download that .zip? thanks!
*note* I tried flashing the official 2.1 update, it failed
