Just tested his method, yes, the wifi is off when I wake my phone. As for GPS, well, as long as your not using an app the needs it then its not on.

Get Juice Defender. It does exactly this.

Looking for App -> Auto turn of 3g once connected on a certain Wifi

Hello Everyone !
Friend of mine live in the middle of no where where 3g/4g signal doesnt work.
He has Wi-Fi tho, but thing is. His cellphone always try to look for a 3 /4g signal at his home and he wakes up with his battery completly drained prematurely.
Im looking for an app that will auto turn off 3g/4g when connected on a certain Wi-Fi and turn it back on when leaving that Wi-FI
We are both using Galaxy S2 X
Thanks guys !
You can do this with Tasker. You can make a profile. I actually just made one for myself after reading your post.
Profile name (name it anything): DataToWifi
State -> Net -> Wifi Connected
Task: Net -> Mobile Data (On)
Closing Task: Net -> Mobile Dat (Off)
So now, when I turn Wifi On (and it connects to the router), it turns off data. When I turn wifi off, it turns data back on.
Cool ! Thanks a lot Scottocs !
But is it also possible that this task ONLY work on ONE certain WiFi (his home wifi)
Because all others WiFi area works correctly with 3g

Yes, you can specify.
I have tasker configured to turn off the lock screen pass code only when connected to my home WiFi. (It also says 'welcome home sir' in an British accent.. lol)

It is sort of confusing, but it's easier to make the tasks before the profile.
I'll give you step-by-step instructions.
Open Tasker
Go to Tasks tab
Click the + button to make a new one - name the first task "DataOff"
Click the + button again
Click the "Net" button
Click "Mobile Data"
Click near the top left of the app (the tasker icon which has a left arrow)
Click it again.
Click the + button to make a new one - name the first task "DataOn"
Click the + button again
Click the "Net" button
Click "Mobile Data"
Change it from "Off" to "On"
Click near the top left of the app (the tasker icon which has a left arrow)
Click it again.
Switch to Profile tab
Click the + button
Name it "WifiToData" (or something else)
Click "State"
Click "Net"
Click "Wifi Connected"
Optional: Type in your SSID
Click near the top left of the app (the tasker icon which has a left arrow)
Choose the "DataOff" Task
Touch and hold your finger on "DataOff" Task in the Profiles tab
Click "Add Exit Task"
Choose the "DataOn" task
Complete!
Llama may be less confusing...
So thanks a lot everyone especially Scottocs for the HUGE help on this.
After scratching my head for about 2-3 hours on this and with Scottocs help I was able to figure out a way for my friend to
Once he enter his house and his phone connect to his Wifi -> Airplane mode ON but leave Wifi ON
and once he disconnect from his Wifi Turn Airplane mode OFF
that was done with
Tasker application and AutoAir
what I did in Tasker was
When Wifi connected -> SSID (wireless connection name)
Load App -> Autoair
(Make sure to go in AutoAir setting and check the box " Start Service on application start up)
and as a Exit Task for this profile
I Simply took Turn Airplane OFF (which mean that once that specific wifi get disconnected turn airplane off)
Hopefully that can help you guys !

GLad you got it working...I think you could have also done it with the secure settings tasker plugin....i believe it has functions to enable/disable airplane mode and then turn wifi back on/off.....
I'm still trying to figure out how to disable pinlock when power any and bluetooth is linked.....I link bluetooth both home and in the car but have not found best option yet. Tasker is very powerful although complex....you should have seen it before the new version that made things "simpler".

Huge wifi issue - No deep sleep

I was getting awful battery drain whilst screen was off, realised that whilst wifi is on, the tablet never ever deep sleeps. literally 0 seconds. of course with it turned off it does deep sleep. and within 8 hours 0% of battery is lost.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
Secondly, on wakelock detector, nothing is detected under kernel wakelocks. how come? it;s been more than 20 hours and still nothing.
any help would be great.

stock rooted, yes i have disabled advanced settings. I've read quite a few threads already on here. and have disabled some some services. but to no help. only thing is to apply Never in keeping wifi on when screen is off. I can do that. but I'd love to fix this issue.

Turn Off Wifi during sleep mode

Hey guys,
I just need to know all the options available in HAM7 in order to switch-off the WI-FI whenever I pressed the lock-button or screen is off or phone in sleep mode?
However, Can anyone tells me how long does the phone needs to enter the "sleep mode" if it's screen timeout is set to 15seconds + all apps are protected "restricted" from (Running in background + Push-notification)?
Thanks

Hey Alex,
Thanks for your help, but i think there is already an option in the Huawei Ascend mate 7 phones for doing such thing but i can't really find it, the reason that i don't need to download any (Battery Saving Programs, that the phone is packed with the same utility too! called "Phone Manager") ,, it was working with me, but seems to be i done something (disable something or protect something "Restricting it") from doing it's normal function that i still don't figure it out what is it!
Thanks for your reply, I've tried this app and i wasn't knew what does "Smart WIFI" means until Now, so i would make it my last choice to download this app again, in case if i didn't find a way to manage it within the phone settings.

Unfortunately, I've the same options on "Never (increase data usage)"
But still the wifi is on, that means either the phone doesn't enter into sleep mode after 2-10mins or more or either it's not the option we're looking for!

Yeah, same here, I tested on 'Never' and I have the same result, so don't worry it's not from your phone, probably it's from the firmware I guess.
You can test the Smart Wi fi option from the Smart Battery Saver app to see if it works.

As you can see in the following picture it's my settings, without using the app "Smart Battery Saver" suggested by member in previous comments the device couldn't been able to Switch WIFI automatically, unless I use the app provided.
However, the phone was working properly but I don't know what happened to that option later on.
All my apps is restricted from running on background and app notification is restricted too, Sync is switched off. I wonder what eels remained.. lol
I found option to control Wi-Fi in the Viber application settings (you can see this option on the attached screenshot). May be you using something app like this?
And IMHO restrictions working only for automatic memory clearing if it's not enough for active application, but I could be wrong.

I found out if you want wi fi turning off during sleep do this: Go to settings - > WI-FI -> scroll down -> Advanced Settings -> Keep Wi- Fi on during sleep -> Only when plugged in.
I think this was the setting you were looking for. With this setting my wifi disables every time during sleep and reconnects automatic when i turn the screen on.

It seems to be doesn't work, I've tried it just in few minutes, and changed my display screen time-out for 15-seconds to go to sleep quickly, still it doesn't work after several minutes, so my question is for (How long does the phone consume from time to "enter sleep mode/device WI-FI switched Off") with your phone?

I think it must be in sleep mode at least 5 to 10 minutes. If you just turn off the screen and turn back on, the wifi will not disabled. Test it. Let the phone off for 5-10 minutes to have time to enter sleep mode. If you want to disable the wifi immediately every time you turn off the screen, the only solution is that app.

No wifi when screen off

I have set play store to update apps only on wifi.. I noticed it because I had my phone with screen off, and when I turned it on, I had a notification about updates for some apps..
This is what I tried:
-Set wifi advanced settings to keep wifi on while screen is off (tried all 3 options, same issue on each one)
-Checked GCM heartbeat to be working (it was OK)
-Checked all my apps for malware (it was OK)
-Wiped cache and dalvik/ART cache (same issue)
Any idea?

Do you have some sort of CPU or deep sleep app installed? If so, that's what's making your WiFi turn off at screen off.
Do check up on that.

I bet you anything that that's it.
Navigate [Open No-Frills CPU Control > Tap Menu > Settings > Include deep sleep]. Look and see if "Include deep sleep" is checked. If it is, then un-check it, and see if that fixes your problem.

[TASKER] Share your best and favorite Tasker profiles for OnePlus 2!

Hi fellow XDA members, I just came across this awesome app called Tasker. I am still trying to figure it out and learning about it but i know it got huge potential to automate our devices. Many of you must be experts in using it. So I created this thread for all to share their best and favourite Tasker profiles for OnePlus 2. Looking forward to see some wonderful ideas to automate our beloved OnePlus 2.
tasker is not device or rom specific at all, hence i don't think that people ( experienced users ) who us tasker in a sophisticated manner would read and post much in this thread, there are dedicated tasker thread. just stumbled in to see what tasker profiles (tasks) would be especially for the OP2 and as suspected, there are none yet.
I've been looking for a way to use the fingerprint sensor, to secure certain apps, such that only I can access them with my fingerprint. I haven't succeeded yet, so if anyone has an Idea I would appreciate it.

That's a great idea. Experts, please shed some light on this if it's possible or not.
I don't own a OPO, but I imagine the profiles I run would work on any android. I've only got a few at the moment, some I ditched because I no longer had a use for them since getting on PAC ROM.
Current profiles are:
ClearCache. Autolaunches the Fast Cache Cleaner app everyday at 6:00PM. The app has no UI, so it doesn't interfere with what I'm doing at the time and just quietly clears cache in the background.
LowerMediaVolume: When headphones are plugged in, media volume gets reset to 2. Got sick of scaring the pants off myself when I'd go to listen to music and had forgotten my media volume was maxed out...
TurnGPSOnWhenWazeIsLaunched: I use Waze as my navigator, so I have it set to automatically turn GPS on (through the Secure Settings plugin) when the app is launched. Also included an exit task so once I leave navigation, GPS will shut off as well.
BirthControlTxt and CleaningReminder: They're similar profiles for my bad memory. Everyday at 11:45PM, my phone sends me an SMS reminding me to take my pill (I also have an alarm for this set at 11, this alert is a fallback just in case my alarm goofs). CleaningReminder is set to go off every Monday, but I only clean the factory every other Tuesday. So I set the cool down period to every 13 days, and hopefully that will 'disable' the alert every other Monday. I just made that one so I haven't gotten to test that. In the past, I also had an AutoReboot profile to reboot the phone everyday at 7AM, but I haven't gotten ballsy enough to try it since switching to a somewhat unstable ROM

Certainly.
Profile: Application/Waze
Task: Plugin/Secure Settings/System + Actions/GPS/Set ON
Exit task (to create exit tasker: once you have built the above Task, go into your profiles, expand your Waze profile, and long press on your task, then select to add an exit task): Plugin/Secure Settings/System + Actions/GPS/Set OFF.
Results may vary from device to device. This profile worked great when I had a Jellybean stock ROM, now I'm running PAC on 5.1 and while it does work, it occasionally will put my GPS on 'device only' instead of high accuracy, so for reliablity I just toggle GPS myself in my notification bar until I think or hear of a way to do this more reliably in Tasker.
I did it that way but wasn't working...
Cleaned flashed oxygen now works
Thanks

PROFILE:

ENTRY TASK (GPSMax):
Plugin > Secure Settings >System+ Actions > Location Mode > High Accuracy

EXIT TASK (GPSMin):

I always have battery seving location ON, so I just need to turn on High Accuracy while I'm using GMaps.
You have to install Secure Settings plugin and enable its XPosed Module

Did you try putting a 1 second Wait at the beginning? Maybe the phone just needs some time..
And use a Flash in order to see if the profile is fired
How do I do that? Can you please give the exact options to set?
