Just bought this armband...any thoughts?

Ordered this on 4/27...with expedited shipping (I'm impatient, so sue me =P), it came to $20. Has anyone on here ordered one of these yet? If so, what did you think of it?

So you wear your phone on an armband? I suppose thats cool, just dont walk into things like I tend to do.

Lol I think its more for exercising and such
I haven't even seen a decent armband for the nexus I may buy this so I don't have the phone sitting in my pocket anymore at the gym

My sentiments exactly. I have a generic waist bag with a clip on it for normal, every-day use; I use the android slip for whenever I'm in formal wear; and I want to use this for at the gym (since I use workout programs on the phone and the stock headphones with track control anyway).

Well go for it and let me know how it is I need a new one soon because in 2 days I'm starting my P90X workout again and Love to listen to the perfect beat of music for it.

Is it secure?
I'd love to get an armband for running (ahh, love California) but worry about it falling out and just being heavy while swinging my arms.

It's fantastic. Not only is it comfortable and fits the phone perfectly, but has just enough "give" that I can view a text message or look at what routines or weights I should be doing, and even type SMS responses (though I usually just go the lazy method and use voice input). I've also been using the stock Android headphones, so I clip the cord to the armband using the supplied clip (and I wrap the slack around the back of the phone). When I'm done, I pop the phone out of the silicone sleeve and toss it in my gym bag.
As far as the weight goes, the phone itself is the heaviest part, but it feels no heavier than my second generation Zune did. It IS kinda bulky, but hasn't gotten in the way of anything yet, and I don't expect it to. Just situate it on the very side of your arm, and it really can't interfere with anything. It does feel very secure, requiring a fair amount of "tug" to get the phone out of the silicone sleeve....not too much or too little, just right....definitely not gonna fall out, though - besides, if you have headphones in, the headphones themselves provide a natural tether to keep the phone in the silicone.
I've been a bit busy this last week (I just graduated from college on Sunday =D), which is why I don't have pics up, but if I remember, I'll pull the sleeve out of my gym bag when I come home tonight and take some pics for you guys. To me, this thing has been worth every penny.

How tight is the fit?
Do you think there would be problems with fitting a phone in that had a clear protector skin on it? I'm currently using the BestSkinsEver.com one.

I have a full body shield from Skinomi on mine and it fit just fine. As I said, it felt snug enough to be secure with just enough "give". Also, when you have headphones in, those act as an anchor.
Had to do my brakes and change over my brother's tires, so no pics today...hopefully tomorrow.

From the picture it looks like a solid one-piece, but then how would you get the phone in there?

It seems that it's some kind of lock, so that would mean it's openable, but don't hold me to that

Thats the silver one, there you can see the long mechanism a bit better, so from the looks of it, you can still open it.

Once I get it pics and review will be up i really just want something easier to take on an off then the ones that tmobile has cause I use a case for work which is painting, and the tmobile cases felt like i would screw the phone up taking them on and off alot.

Well a lot of people around here are looking for that. Something to lock the keyboard in place during normal day to day use. That way it isn't opening in your pocket and stuff like that.

Yea that works out for them but it means im still on the hunt >>

I agree in theory you shouldn't have to need this case. But if you are like me, my phone hinge is loose and it feels wobbly to even text. So if this case can hold the goods together securely then it looks like its worth it.

Just ordered one. Let's see if its better then the otterbox.

I agree, I am worried about the excess bulkiness. Looks like a brick! All my friends have iPhone 4's so I dont want to pull out something looking a decade old! However pics and youtube videos can be deceiving. The G2 is a beautiful phone and doesnt seem to show scratches easy. I too have the loose hinge and like I said in a previous post, scotch tape on the sides is the best answer!

Agreed. I always find myself buying cases for all of my devices. 2 weeks later i end up ditching them going back to naked. right now i just have the stealthguards full body protector on which is excellent even for 10$. I, for one, hate the g2's keyboard, however, its one of the best ones out thus far. (if that makes any sense)

Anybody who ordered this case received it yet? Ordered mine on the 17th and still hasn't arrived....

[Q] Motorcycle Mount

Anyone found a good option for a motorcycle mount?
I have found a few.
One encases the whole unit in a waterproof case
Another that hold it upright on the handle bars
and the otterbox one.
Anyone have any real experience with any of the mounts available?

Yeah man, what I did was I bought a sidecar, and i superglued a car mount in that.

From what I have seen in some cycle online groups, RAM Mounts (google that, they'll pop up) seem to be pretty highly regarded. The are not, however, the least expensive option but they work well. It looks like they offer a sealed box and mount combo.

I have the one from "slipgripcarmounts.com" works really well.
RAMS look excellent but their pricey.

Due to the Epic screen not working that well through gloves, I would really like to find one that would allow the keyboard to slide open while mounted. I have yet to find anything for this model though.
If I can't find anything soon I think i'll have to make one. I've already thought up a good design, i just have to figure out how to make it or convert one of the existing ones.
Hopefully something already exists and I just have yet to find it.

I understand the issue. I thought about that too but then realized I wouldn't be able to work the keyboard with my gloves on either. So I just cut off the tip of the right index finger on my riding gloves.

You know they make little glue on rubber tips that work for our screens. Look for iphone glove tips.

I was wondering what my options are for a rugged case. I've seen so many for the iPad, but not a single one for the TF700, can anyone point me to a few?

Do you want a case that you carry your tablet in or something that surrounds the tablet it self from drops and bumps? Because I have recommendations for both! IMO they both are top of the line!

Gumdrop makes some good cases. I don't know if they are rugged enough though. If you're planning on really taking it somewhere where this is going to happen (and its a must have, etc) you might be able to get one specially made.

I was thinking a case that surrounds it like the gum drop. Plan B would be something similar to an in case sleeve

Right now I do not have anything around the tablet! I put in a pre-order for a gumdrop case! It's kinda pricy At $60 but I want my daughter to be able to use it without me worrying whether or not she's going to drop it or god knows what! She's 8 and somewhat careful but I have not let her use it yet for the fear of it getting dropped. All the reading I have done about other tablets that use the gumdrop have been really good so thats kinda how I base my judgement on. 99.5% of the time I am right because I do all the research before I buy cause I hate getting took to the cleaners. They look really rugged to me! I'm not going mountain climbing with it...lol! Plus I have read about other people that use it on other tabs and they seem to be pretty happy for the most part! It's definitely good for home use and taking it outside in the yard and such and letting an 8 year old girl use it ! It looks to me like they made it out of a tire its got tread on it lol!

i think the protection is good, but would like something a bit more calm, like a simply thick gel casing to protect the edges and back, not too much to ask and not sure why there arent plenty available!!

You missed my point entirely. OBVIOUSLY, videos are made to be viewed. But the whole concept was basically bull****. "Hey, this case didn't work for ****. GO BUY THE SAME CASE!"
