monaco case

and was wondering if anyone had it or had reviews about it, looking to see that it wont interfere with keyboard like some do.

From the picture it looks like a solid one-piece, but then how would you get the phone in there?

"The lock on the side holds the top and bottom of the case tightly together and prevents the case from accidentally opening"
It seems that it's some kind of lock, so that would mean it's openable, but don't hold me to that

Thats the silver one, there you can see the long mechanism a bit better, so from the looks of it, you can still open it.

Once I get it pics and review will be up i really just want something easier to take on an off then the ones that tmobile has cause I use a case for work which is painting, and the tmobile cases felt like i would screw the phone up taking them on and off alot.

I am very interested in this case as well and will probably order. I found a different seller on eBay selling this case, link below. It includes more pictures as well.

Well a lot of people around here are looking for that. Something to lock the keyboard in place during normal day to day use. That way it isn't opening in your pocket and stuff like that.

Yea that works out for them but it means im still on the hunt >>

I agree in theory you shouldn't have to need this case. But if you are like me, my phone hinge is loose and it feels wobbly to even text. So if this case can hold the goods together securely then it looks like its worth it.

Just ordered one. Let's see if its better then the otterbox.

Looks sturdy. The added bulk keeps me away though.

I agree, I am worried about the excess bulkiness. Looks like a brick! All my friends have iPhone 4's so I dont want to pull out something looking a decade old! However pics and youtube videos can be deceiving. The G2 is a beautiful phone and doesnt seem to show scratches easy. I too have the loose hinge and like I said in a previous post, scotch tape on the sides is the best answer!

Agreed. I always find myself buying cases for all of my devices. 2 weeks later i end up ditching them going back to naked. right now i just have the stealthguards full body protector on which is excellent even for 10$. I, for one, hate the g2's keyboard, however, its one of the best ones out thus far. (if that makes any sense)

Anybody who ordered this case received it yet? Ordered mine on the 17th and still hasn't arrived....

I was wondering what my options are for a rugged case. I've seen so many for the iPad, but not a single one for the TF700, can anyone point me to a few?

Do you want a case that you carry your tablet in or something that surrounds the tablet it self from drops and bumps? Because I have recommendations for both! IMO they both are top of the line!

Gumdrop makes some good cases. I don't know if they are rugged enough though. If you're planning on really taking it somewhere where this is going to happen (and its a must have, etc) you might be able to get one specially made.

I was thinking a case that surrounds it like the gum drop. Plan B would be something similar to an in case sleeve

Right now I do not have anything around the tablet! I put in a pre-order for a gumdrop case! It's kinda pricy At $60 but I want my daughter to be able to use it without me worrying whether or not she's going to drop it or god knows what! She's 8 and somewhat careful but I have not let her use it yet for the fear of it getting dropped. All the reading I have done about other tablets that use the gumdrop have been really good so thats kinda how I base my judgement on. 99.5% of the time I am right because I do all the research before I buy cause I hate getting took to the cleaners. They look really rugged to me! I'm not going mountain climbing with it...lol! Plus I have read about other people that use it on other tabs and they seem to be pretty happy for the most part! It's definitely good for home use and taking it outside in the yard and such and letting an 8 year old girl use it ! It looks to me like they made it out of a tire its got tread on it lol!

i think the protection is good, but would like something a bit more calm, like a simply thick gel casing to protect the edges and back, not too much to ask and not sure why there arent plenty available!!

[Review] [Giveaway] Diztronic TPU

I just wanted to give a huge thanks to Android Fan Network (Nick) for sending me this case! :highfive: Thanks guys!
okay, so this is the first time I've ever seen a diztronic case.
i wasn't sure what to expect, honestly, i first heard about them a week ago when i saw AFN's review they posted on facebook. Well, I wanted to get my hands on a case ever since I saw that review. So, naturally I was really excited to get home from work tonight at 8pm to find this sitting in my mailbox! Even though the unit I received was pink I still wanted it on my phone, for a few minutes at least! Well, I just want to say that Diztronic really used high quality TPU when they designed this case. It really has a premium feel that a lot of TPU cases lack.
PRO's:
-fitment, honestly it is exactly like it should be. No excess space and nothing is cramped. (the IR blaster is slightly off center, but it still works perfectly)
-button covers. Yes, this is actually a PRO on this case. It is flimsy enough to allow for a tactile feedback of the button! It actually clicks. I don't know why all companies don't make this a priority.
-Lip, it has just the right amount of lip around the top edge to protect your device without going insaine
CON's: These are so minimal, I almost didn't even list them
-No grip on the sides
-camera cutout is not 'perfect' it is slightly raised and causes the phone to rock back and forth when placed on the back, it is also a large square instead of being cut the fit. (not a big deal just something to note)
-My review unit is pink and I cannot be seen with it on my phone in public.
Overall, I would give this TPU case a 5*/5* It is exactly what I look for in a case, and if it were not pink, I would keep it myself! So, if anyone would like a sparkly pink TPU case from Diztronic, I would like to offer the chance to win it, free shipping and all.
I want someone to answer the following question: (Yes, I am a math geek!)

I know, I personally love the phone and want to help build a better community here. I got this case for free and really only wanted to review it. I know I love getting something I want for free, especially something that is, in my opinion, good. I'm going to give away two other cases soon, so be on the lookout for those!
I agree though, there is a lot of negative threads here, we need more positive ones for such a great phone.

Pass it on like OP said, can't be seen in public with a pink s4 now, if my girlfriend had an s4 I'd gladly take it but she has a lame 4s

Probably the closest you'll get to such a thing would be to get a metal back cover replacement to conduct the heat away better than the plastic one does.

Show me that V20 dent that is driving you crazy!! (Fun post)

The other day I was in the bathroom and forgot that I put my phone on the towel... Got a tiny dent on the corner(Plastic bezel sucks) even though once the cover for it comes in by the 14 of this month is driving me crazy just to see a scratch/dent on it.

Didn't even follow the title. You didn't "show us" anything.

Dont have a cam right now to take a pic. The phone fell and hit the floor with the right bottom corner. Honestly seems more like a chip mark than a dent or a scratch.

People who don't put a case on an expensive device are like guys who don't use condoms with a random girl...I just don't get it...

I actually order a case but still hasn't arrive.

First thing I get is a case. Even if I have to buy from best buy and pay s premium price. Protection is first priority. After that I'll hit Amazon and get s case I like. I take no chances because you can't undo a drop.

For most people you're right about the phone - and the random girl.
Yet no one puts cases on their fine crystal Scotch or Cognac glasses - they show them for the fine stemware beauty and art they are designed to be and treat them with care. And no one expects a random girl to be virgin clean ... especially a random that doesn't care if you're goin' in raw-dog.
I've always been disease free my whole life (I'm oooold) because I've chosen wisely .... and I've NEVER used a case on any of my Cell Phones, going all the way back to my first phone in 1992, because I treat them like the fragile glass and electronic pieces of artistic equipment they are.
As much as I agree with the analogy of cases for some people .... I certainly understand why most don't use a case.
Where we probably agree the most is when someone doesn't use a case (or condom) and then complains about how bad their lack of carefulness became a bad situation and blames everything/everyone but themselves.

That's why I use a clear case on my v20 with a built in metal kickstand. It shows off the phone but protects it.

The great news is that if you damage the top or bottom of your phone you can replace it by removing the 4 screws on those portions and buying a new chin or forehead. I swapped the bottom chin for a new one when my old one got scratched. It was quick and painless process.

haha I ended up with getting titan bc im impatient, but i just realized I could always replace the 3 parts with silver and practically have the silver phone.
