I stumbled on this http://cheapdroids.com/T-Mobile-G2-Monaco-Aluminum-Case-Black-Open-Screen-Design.html
and was wondering if anyone had it or had reviews about it, looking to see that it wont interfere with keyboard like some do.
Hey quick question! This case does not open the keyboard right?

From the picture it looks like a solid one-piece, but then how would you get the phone in there?
"The lock on the side holds the top and bottom of the case tightly together and prevents the case from accidentally opening"
It seems that it's some kind of lock, so that would mean it's openable, but don't hold me to that
*Edit*: http://cheapdroids.com/T-Mobile-G2-Monaco-Aluminum-Case-Silver-Open-Screen-Design.html
Thats the silver one, there you can see the long mechanism a bit better, so from the looks of it, you can still open it.
Ohh I didn't see that shot great gonna order one

Could you let us/me know how it is? It looks rather interesting
Definitely looking forward to an XDA member's review on this with better pics!
Once I get it pics and review will be up i really just want something easier to take on an off then the ones that tmobile has cause I use a case for work which is painting, and the tmobile cases felt like i would screw the phone up taking them on and off alot.
I am very interested in this case as well and will probably order. I found a different seller on eBay selling this case, link below. It includes more pictures as well.

Also found this retailer that has a video of it, looks slightly bulky.

Well a lot of people around here are looking for that. Something to lock the keyboard in place during normal day to day use. That way it isn't opening in your pocket and stuff like that.

Yea that works out for them but it means im still on the hunt >>
I agree in theory you shouldn't have to need this case. But if you are like me, my phone hinge is loose and it feels wobbly to even text. So if this case can hold the goods together securely then it looks like its worth it.
Just ordered one. Let's see if its better then the otterbox.

Looks sturdy. The added bulk keeps me away though.
I agree, I am worried about the excess bulkiness. Looks like a brick! All my friends have iPhone 4's so I dont want to pull out something looking a decade old! However pics and youtube videos can be deceiving. The G2 is a beautiful phone and doesnt seem to show scratches easy. I too have the loose hinge and like I said in a previous post, scotch tape on the sides is the best answer!

Agreed. I always find myself buying cases for all of my devices. 2 weeks later i end up ditching them going back to naked. right now i just have the stealthguards full body protector on which is excellent even for 10$. I, for one, hate the g2's keyboard, however, its one of the best ones out thus far. (if that makes any sense)
Anybody who ordered this case received it yet? Ordered mine on the 17th and still hasn't arrived....
[G2/HTC Vision]
DO NOT ORDER. Took forever to come and the case is complete crap. Finish sucks. Build sucks. Overall suck

They're in stock and available now. This has always been my favorite case. I don't like things that inhibit the phone's thinness\natural design, so I like slip-in sleeves, and Sena makes a good product.
Look around on the net there are 20% off coupons... their ordering\delivery process leaves a bit to be desired, but the product is good.

I guess its not as classy as a chunky shell case. Nothing sexi bout those.
If your looking for slim cases check out the casemate barley there. its very nice and even came with a screen protector. That I dont use haha.
This is a Sena pouch, not a case as you have to take the phone out of the pouch to use.

You're wrong actually. Time for English 101.
Dictionary: "enclose in a protective container" so in face the item that you refer to as a "case" is not a case, it's a backplate, or protective shell. A true case, by definition, en"cases" the item for protection. How does one access files in their briefCASE when they need them? They take them OUT of the briefCASE. How does one change clothes when they get the hotel? They take their close out of their suitCASE to use them. How does one get the term nutCASE? They take silly comments out of their head and place them in places like here, where you said SenaCases.com isn't a case website.
If you use the phone when it's in a case, it's not a CASE.
I completely understand the non-literal definition of what's included in the word "case" has become lose over the years... but your comment was just inaccurate in every way.

I had this case for about a day, and returned it.
- renders the OEM desktop dock worthless
- renders the OEM car dock worthless
- makes the charging cable not fully click in to charge w\ cable
- collects dust under the back part and gets a little icky
- provides no screen protection & screen protector makes resolution grainy
These were just my reasons for returning it. Not sure why you posted this in this thread, rather than in the general cases\shell thread, but I thought I'd reply with personal experience as to why I bought then subsequently returned it.
It's just my personal opinion, but if baffles me why people buy these shells. Even at the 3mm thickness of this case, it adds 3mm to the back, 3mm to the right, 3 mm to the top, 3mm to the bottom, 3mm to the left, and then a 3 mm lip around the phone. Add those all up and it equates to double the tickness of the phone to begin with. The idea of having a thin and light phone is so it's thin and light. I suppose if I were the type who dropped my phone frequently, having a plastic shell around it might be useful, but that's just not me, which is why I went with the slip-in sleeve as I posted above. Provides dust\pocket protection, cleans the screen, but when the phone is in hand it's in it's full thin state as intended by the manufacturer.

Can I post it? What do you mean? It's the same as googleing "Samsung Infuse Desktop Dock".... but will save me from taking photos, and will save you the wait, hehe.
I love it... I've always had a dock for my iPhone, so when I heard it was coming out for Infuse I jumped on it. It's great, just slip the phone onto it and it charges\syncs, and makes it a lot easier to see texts\emails because it's angled toward me and not just sitting on my desk flat.
It's really not a huge amazing revolutionary thing, it's more of just a convenience thing to make the phone more usable for my tastes. And much of it is just cosmetic.

I agree. This looks like something a girl would keep the phone in while in her purse. It provides no protection if you happen to drop your phone while you're actually using it. Pointless for me...perfect for the ladies. Hehe
And Bella, you can quote the dictionary all you want, but most people would consider that a pouch, not a case.

I guess if you're too clumsy to hold a phone in you're hand, then you need to get a shell that will double it's thickness. I guess you're right, if you're a man and insecure about... the ability to hold your phone due to it's small size, it might be in your best interest to explore enlargement options that'll make it easier to find, larger to hold, etc.

Its my opinion. You oviously have yours. If you need a pouch to keep your phone in while in your purse so your lipstick doesn't scratch it, that's fine. Nobody wants to deny you that option. Enjoy!
The personal attacks are so unnecessary.

Huh? How is it a personal attack. If someone drops their phone regularly, wouldn't that classify them as clumsy?
Clumsy: awkward in movement or in handling things
How is that a personal attack? You seem overly sensitive, almost like you've got a victim complex... you are wanting to be offended. I've never dropped a phone in my life... and unless I were to drop it regularly, say once a week or so, I probably wouldn't be willing to double it's thickness to protect against the occasional drop... but that's just me.
And I could say your comment about purse and lipstick are closed-minded, offensive, but I won't.
I'm starting to see a trend here... I don't want to act as a nanny, so please, stay on topic.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend or get personal... unfortunately when I post about a case and someone else says it's girly, it's off topic. God forbid girls actually want a case for their phone. Or heaven forbid a guy who's secure in their manhood want a case thats fashionable instead of 1980s industrial. hehe
Anyhow, I gave a piece of advice about a case that I love, so if others don't like it then they can buy their plastic shells, I was merely trying to help.

"Great case, optimum design".
I was pretty skeptical about spending this much money on a case but I must admit having got the case, I am thoroughly delighted with it I love the way the Kindle Fire fits into the shell without any straps and how the case still preserves the slender form factor of KFHD
I would agree with others that the price really could be about $10 lower but Amazon probably has to make some money...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008GGH4VI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
I agree, I like the case overall. The price is a bit high, but overall I think its not terribly overpriced. The only gripe I have after reading with it several times now is that the edge of the case can be a bit sharp. It will dig into your hand a bit after a while of holding it.
Definitely a quality case. I love the form factor. It maintains the slimness of the KFHD.

Lol !! Great case.. thanks for link..
magnetic screen shutdown too!
One thing not mentioned here (yet) is the magnetic screen cover. When you close the cover the screen automatically shuts off (like the iPad, except this cover is not flimsy and won't fall off!). This was a great surprise I found when i tried out this case --and that, plus the slim durable style convinced me that this is the best case for the Kindle Fire HD7" (and 8/9" for that matter!).
Agree with all the previous comments, after trying 3 previous cases, the Amazon on wins hands down.

I bought my wife the Amazon case that you guys have and you all are right it's nice.
Here's the case I have, and I love it. I honestly like it better than the Amazon case. The hand strap imo is a must have. The design on the exterior looks very classy and not at all cheap or cheesy. And yes, it has the on/off feature upon opening and closing the case.
But wait, how much does this mythical, almost too good to be true case cost, you say? It must be at least $99. Maybe if I catch it on sale I can get it for $78.92. Surely you jest. Maybe a second-hand pick, laden with crusty boogers for a cool $50?
Heck no.
Just check out the link below. Believe me, you CAN afford one (or 3).

0 By the Way, I also bought one of the solid colored cases of the same kind. The outside of that one did feel cheap, it is not the same material as the one that I linked to above. It still offers great protection and for what it costs is worth it, but the outside material doesn't feel as quality.

It's stylish and great for holding it, and doesn't seem to get dirty easily (oils from food, moisture wipe right off). However, it's not great for protection at all. I dropped my first KFHD from a one-foot distance off the ground, only to pick it up and find a hairline crack across the bottom right corner (potentially a weak spot)?
According to customer service, if it's only one crack and not a spider web, it's covered under the default warranty. They mailed me out a new one within 2 days. Kick ass customer service, I do say.
Thank your self you don't live in the UK!

You're talking about the Amazon cover right? That's the one I have now (but i am going to check out the other cover mentioned just above too) Since Christmas, I have dropped my new Kindle Fire HD 7 a couple of times. Only casual slips and nothing major. One from the table top height and one or two from the couch arm (lower height) onto a hard wood floor. So far I have had no damage --the top (fold over) cover now has a slight compression along about 1 inch of the edges, but I just rechecked the KF HD and I can't see any damage. I guess I am lucky!

Thanks, went to that link and It does look good & nice video! I like all of those different colors and a great price too! However, the video seems to demonstrate and show a sleep-wake functionality for the case, but the written ad's second bullet says "does not include the wake sleep feature." Not sure which one is accurate! Although, I really am getting spoiled by using the "flip on flip off" approach to the KF HD so the magnets are important to me
i have bought Amazon original case.. Its practical and seems excellent.

Who made it? Zerolemon?
Hey,
I am looking for a hard case that I can put my Nexus 9 inside of when not in use. I generally keep my tablet in my backpack and while I am careful, it doesn't exactly get treated like a little baby bird (the backpack and it's contents). I hate cases for cell phones and tablets and I don't want something that is meant to stay on. I am looking more for a hard shell that I can place the tablet in for when I am not using it. Like a Pelican case, but not stupid thick. Does such a thing exist?

I definitely like the ruggedness of this case, but I am looking for something a little less permanent. Ideally, I was thinking of something like the Pelican 1065CC (http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1065CC) except less extreme. I just want something that will protect the tablet when not in use. I guess what I am looking for is fairly niche, so I may just have to get the Pelican and be done with it.

Agreed, I have several of them for guns, cameras, etc. I just feel it is a little overkill for a tablet that I carry around with me, but then again, maybe it isn't....Overkill is underrated, after all.

Pretty interesting product. I like the fact that they seem to lay a little flatter than the FlyGrip. I'd definitely pick up the case with the sockets integrated into it but they don't seem to offer one for our phone.

I like that it's reusable and can be moved around wherever you want
I have it pretty much in the middle of the phone's back in the outside of my phone case which saved me from having to buy a new case since it also functions as a viewing stand! Neat little gadget for bigger devices and tiny hands

I was tempted but since I already had my flygrip I decided to save the 14.99 (for a 2 pack in store)
If they had been selling 1 for $7 I probably would have bought it!
It's really the first time I've seen one of this type of product available in store vs online. It's about time!
Glad to hear it's working for you and that it's available with different options online.
Now I have another choice if I want something new!

Looks cool but how would that work when the v10 has cross stitch grip backs... The case I have also has rubber grip back...

+1...sounds like a great idea but im wondering how well it will stick to the v10
I'm pretty sure it's just using the 3m adhesive which is the same thing my flygrip uses. No problems here. It's stuck on nice and tight.
Sent from my pretty nifty brand new LG V10

It should work fine either way mine is functioning fine on my case and you can move it around whenever you want
I picked one up from Amazon while Christmas shopping. I had never heard of them before seeing this thread a few weeks ago.
I have to say, it's an awesome product. Works great as a stand while watching videos, and really helps in handling such a large device. Hitting the second screen with one hand is easy now.

No one has/had any issues with it detaching from the back of our wafflesque surface phones? I like the product and could see using it, but I'm looking for confirmation that it worked on a stock phone without a case.
Thanks in advance for replies.
I have used one on my phone without a case. It worked great. I took it off when I added a Spigen case and have been too lazy to put it back on. My wife is very small and she loves it on her Samsung S3 phone. And yes you can take them off and reuse them over and over. Nice invention.
