WM6 Not saving WiFi/BT Connections

All:
Does anyone have any further ideas on how we can keep all WiFi and BT Connections after a soft reset? I have looked into the Registry and nada... BT needs to re-pair after each soft reset (SR) and WiFi connections are no longer present after a SR.
Any Ideas? Otherwise everything seems great on this ROM...

And the ISP connection too.... There's a fix for this bug?

Same here everytime i am tryin to connect to my gps antenna it requests for the bluetooth pairing...its pretty annoying!!!

Same problem here, including the GPRS settings.. there lost too..

As you can see from the above poster that it says "Junior" before "Member" - pity they let anyone with an email account join this forum...
Also I think you were trying to write Noob and NOT Nood, get a freaking clue before posting replies which reflect your IQ.

With regard to the problem. I have nghianga rom and found that if you don't reset with the stylus for it seams to work fine. I have been running for a week now with no problems and my phone gets reset every night by spb backup.
Indeed I think it has settled down properly as I did do a couple of stylus resets yesterday and it is still fine

same problem here... but if i try to set my email account again i get an alert that an accout with the same name already exists. but i can't see it. so where will all the settings that were lost when i (soft)reset my device be stored?

email settings
Before mine became stable I had that problem too. I couldnt find a solution anywhere :-( Fortunately I had a backup.
It is critical to have regular backups with these cutting edge ROM's
I highly recommend SPB Backup - mine backs up automatically at 5 every morning. There are problems restoring backups between different versions (eg. wm5 aku 2.2 and WM6) so I make sure I have syncronised with my PC too. And I use SMSbackup for my texts. I think there is also a Contactsbackup that works between versions.
Good luck - I have no problems at all with WM6 now

Get your email accounts back
I haven't tried this as I don't need it at the moment, but you could try this to get your email accounts back

TRy this....for me solved the saving of Bt and Wifi settings........
After the configure of Bt and Wifi ...instead of softreset....i shut down the phone....when i turn on it again...the settings are working!!!!....and now also if i softreset ...the setting dont disappear...!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just that simple:
* configure Bluetooth, Wifi, Gprs
* create your E-Mail accounts
* shut down your device
* and restart
now you can softreset without loosing any of your settings.

Email pick up schedule on Orbit 2

I had the Original Obit until I upgraded to the Orbit 2 a few weeks ago.
I love the phone apart from I have noticed the send/receive schedule on my emails will only run when the screen is active and rarely when device lock is enabled.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

Not me, mine checks two POP3 accounts every 15 minutes and works very, very well. I'm delighted with the email client on WM6, very good.

mmm weird.
On the rare event when it picks up an email when is locked it keeps sounding the new emial alert.
May to a hard reset....

mmm, I never did find a solution to this.
I use the S2U app to lock. When it is in locked mode doesn't do the scheduled email pick up, only when the screen is active.
Anyone else having this problem yet?

I also use S2U and both my POP3 email accounts pick up emails fine. I also have MSN Messenger running 24x7 and that works fine too, beeping when someone sends me a text.

you will be very happy, after reading my text (i hope so). The answer is very simple. I have had the same problem. After many Hardresets and contacting my provider there was no solution. But the answer is: You have to use one of the following programms called "Kaiser Tweak or Schaps_AdvancedConfigTool". There are two points, where you can set the "Suspend Timeout from AC resuming and Battery resuming". I have set the values from 1 second to 75 seconds. After that your emails will be checked perfectly in suspend mode. To find this solution has cost me a lot of lifetime. Good luck

So humiliating but....
Errr, I've had one O2 Orbit II already, had to send it back (pricing issues/better deal. There was nothing wrong with it). On that one I did have direct push working.
However on the new one, I can't for the life of me think/remember how I activated it.
I've got the exchange server settings for work, but when I try and set up a new account on the Orbit, all I have is the options for POP or IMAP, there's nothing for Exchange...
Am I missing a click somewhere here?

gprs connects at random times even when keylocked

hi everyone.
im new to wm6-can navigate and use reasonably well-came from a prophet before.
my problem is when i pick up the touch after it being idle/unused for some time when i check the screen, the gprs has somehow connected itself. even if the touch has been keylocked it still seems to be able to connect to the vodafone network.
is it possible that the power button also acts as a connect button and i dont know about it??
the touch is stock standard and is only really used as a phone. any help or thoughts would be appreciated!!
also the bluetooth turns itself off reguarly when its connected to an earpiece. it hasnt happened incall but it seems to happen when the earpiece/touch are idle and nothing has happened between them.. again any thoughts appreciated. thanks in advance.

regarding your first question: are you using the "Weather"-apllication that comes with the cruise?

yes i have used the weather app before-but i can leave the cruise on the bench overnight,keylocked and when i get up in morning gprs is connected. today alone this happened approx four times that im aware of. keep in mind the cruise is keylocked and its still turning itself on. thanks.

Changescreen doesn´t work anymore after a phonecall

Hello,
i´m using changescreen and i have the problem that the program doesn´t react anymore after an outgoing or incoming phonecall.
I think, all settings are correct and i tried all versions (up to 2.78).
The same Problem with Gyrator 2, so it seems to be no problem with the software, but a problem with my phone or my phone settings.
Does anybody know this problem and can help me?

Yep, it may be something we downloaded interfering with the changescreen utility to work properly. Cause mine just stopped working properly a couple days ago, when it worked flawlessly for a month now.

I´m now using G-Config, available here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991 in this forum.
So far it works properly, some Problems are solved in this thread http://www.pocketpc.ch/htc-touch-diamond-2/61506-frage-zum-bildschirmdrehen.html in another forum (german)!

Changescreen work very well after outgoing call on my D2.

Probably it interferes with another program we have installed, but I don´t want to remove all other programs and with G-Config it works very well.

Solution is in the first post of ChangeScreen thread...

What you've probably noticed is that on your chat settings, when you try to enable the FB chat, it goes to a non existent web page. Here's the work around:
Go to to your live account on live.com, go to profile, and you'll see the other accounts at the bottom (FB, youtube, etc) click on facebook, make sure chat is enabled, and hit save.
You'll have to type in your FB email and password. Now when you look at your phone, under the messaging settings, you'll noticed that FB chat is enabled.
You will probably have to manually resync at the very least for it to work. Other people have reported that it just takes time for your contacts to show up, and some other people have had success simply waiting because eventually they showed up for them.

But there are FB Contacts online in the FB Chat.
How can I show this people?

Give it time. Mine didn't show up until the day after on my Samsung Focus.
If you really wanted to be extreme, I heard a hard reset works too. But you shouldn't have to do that.

Live Messenger works great just out of the box for me, now if we only could change the account used for it tho.

Glad it worked. I was frustrated when I couldn't get mine to work but I woke up the next day and all my contacts were showing all the sudden.

The same situation I had when I woke up ^^
But sometimes when I don't use the phone for a while it says "No Contacts online" or "Cannot connect", but wifi and gsm/umts connection is there.
Then I wait a little bit and then it works again.
I hope the connection and reconnect will be improved.

That probably means that there is not mobile data connection ...only wi-fi data
And sinse wi-fi is closed when the phone sleeps thats why you get the no contacts message until the wi-fi is up again, connected and sync...
