I have the Sprint TP2. Currently running Energy Rom (titanium only21889.5.0.87). Also I use spb ms 3.5..
I have been having this same issue with 4 differnt roms{stock-ssk-both verisons of energy}.
Here is what happens. When I slide my keyboard out the screen goes black. To get back on I have to turn screen off and back on again. It does not happen everytime. But recently it seems worse. I am starting to think it is a hardware issue.??
Any ideas?

Hi all,
Something is wrong with my TC.
Pressing the powerbutton will not light up the display - it stays black.
The green led is flashing like normal.
Phonecalls are not received.
Softreset and all is ok for a day or two again.
Could it be Pocket Informant? Since I installed it I've noticed that it will start automatically when booting and hide the enter-pin-screen.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
This is called "Sleep of Death" It's a common problem with unstable rom's. I doubt it's pocket informant as that software is used by many thousands without complaint. my first advice is to get a new ROM if you are still using stock rom or an old cooked one. Also search the forums of your device for Sleep of death or SOD. If no luck post back here with your phone, rom, softwares, etc.
I have an att tilt that came stock with wm6.1 pro and i updated it to the new 3.7. something or other ROM from the HTC website and when that was done also bought spb pocket plus. I am having a couple of not so bad but annoying problems
After much trouble, I put the 6 tab version of htc home plugin on the home tab of pocket plus and when the phone is closed and I lock the phone form the htc home programs tab the clock doesn't appear, but it appears like normal when i lock it while the phone is slid open, like i said, nothing big just little bothersom things
And also when the screen is off and black, it will randomly turn on and just have a solid gray screen for usually a few seconds and will shut off again. Is that a sign of something else going wrong?
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated

so im a 6.5 rom and it doesnt matter if im using tf3d2 or iphone today or stock winmo today screen or if i turn off all of them
after the phone being on for a while the today screen will fail to appear yet i can still go to start menu and go to any program, everything works except today
i can close everything and run clean ram yet that wont help
only a soft reset fixes it
any ideas?
The other day, I hit the power button on my touch pro, and the screen didn't come on. I did a soft reset, and it started working again. Now today, the same thing is happening, but a soft reset isn't helping.
The screen's back light comes on, the LEDs on the buttons come on, and the phone seems to be working fine. I hear all the sounds, including the HTC sound while it is booting, and the new message sound, but the screen stays black. It still recognizes touches, it just doesn't show an image. I want to do a hard reset, and will if I can get it to come one one more time, but its been about a month since I backed up my contact list. Lesson learnt there. I'm afraid it might be a hardware problem since I don't see anything while its booting either.
Anyone know if this is a known hardware issue with the touch pro? The phone is less then 3 months old, and I've been real careful with it. I haven't dropped it from more then 2 feet, and even that was onto carpet. Its the Verizon version if that makes a difference, and I'm running one of the NFSFAN roms. Its not the newest one, but rather the one posted on October 19th. I doubt its the rom, though, as I've been using it for around 2 months with no issues.
EDIT: Ok, I went into the bootloader to see if it was hardware of software. I figured if it was hardware, the screen would be black, and if it was software, it would be the rainbow. Sure enough, the screen stayed black. Hit the reset button, and the screen actually came on! Go figure. Went to do a backup, and the screen literally crapped out on me while I was watching it. Definitely a hardware problem.

I've been having a similar problem with my Touch HD. The problem is very intermittent though and is sometimes hard to reproduce. The screen and phone will be working fine then once in a while when I push the power button to lock the phone, I'll unlock it and the screen stays black. I know that the phone is still on and even unlocked because pushing the buttons at the bottom makes the phone vibrate. The only consistency in reproducing the problem happens after I do something major on the phone such as making a phone call, browsing the internet, sometimes charging the phone. Other than that, I can sit here and push the power button all day and it'll come on and off with no problems. When the screen does go black I've taken the battery out repeatedly as well as repeatedly rebooted the phone until it comes back on. I've tried doing hard and soft resets to no avail. I've tried deactivating "turn off backlight if device is not used for" and "turn off device if not used for" without any resolve. After this I've even left the screen on (disabled backlight off) to see if it flickers or shows any sign of being faulty and it seems to be fine. I'm currently on Dutty's HD WM 6.5 Leo R5 WWE rom, but this has happened with two other roms (NRG, LIA). Other info include:

Hey guys, i've got a problem. First off, KforTouchPro works fine on my HTC Touch Pro, i can configure buttons fine for Morphgear, PocketGBA, SmartGear etc, it works wonderful. And as everyone that uses this app already knows, you have to switch the setting to MS IME before you launch your game emulator, or else you can't configure the keys. Well, my problem is, after i'm done playing a game, sometimes I forget to switch the setting back to default, and whenever i do a reset or shutoff my phone, it hangs at the screen right before it shows your homescreen and touchflo3d tabs.
Basically, for those that use EnergyROM, it hangs at the screen that shows you the black & blue background with the word EnergyROM 3.0 in the bottom left (or something like that, can't remember). That means you can't do anything at all, since there are no buttons etc for you to press as the home screen is not fully loaded, so basically you got a semi-bricked phone as no matter how many times i try to turn on the phone, it just hangs there, which results in me having to do a hard reset in the end.
To prevent this, you MUST restore the KforTouchPro setting back to the default setting, but sometimes ppl forget and this will cause a semi-bricked phone, which is very risky and quite dangerous.
So, is anyone else having the same problem as me?? Is there a solution to this??
And lastly, what's the difference between KforTouchPro and KforRaphael??
