Please Help! My JAMin is dead!

help... i downloaded smart1's (normal, not clean) update, and launched UPGRADE_ROM.DAT from PC... it said initializing and everything... and then it reached to "copying something.dll' ... i waited 10 minutes or so then i got something like:
"error cant copy ....... because connection closed from remote... something like that."
i did NOT touch the imate during the process
and now when i turn on my imate i get the HTC with white background for a second but then it freezes on the blue "i-mate" screen... displaying:
IPL 2.13.0001
SPL 2.13.0001
GSM 02.20.21
OS 10.1.0.811
when i connect it to pc, windows does recognise and install my device but ActiveSync doesnt connect.
i tried removing the battery then putting it back in then pressing and holding the conn. button along with the power button and i DO get to the bootloader screen (with three colors) and then when i plug in the usb i get a small 'usb' word at the bottom of the screen, but still, ActiveSync doesnt connect... i tried installing the update again... but the program doesnt find my device
how can i make it work again ??? plz help me

Now you need to find a rom that will install from bootloader mode and not an update........

Just BEWARE that the rom you download is for your phone, it will be for a G3 or a G4, if you get it wrong, your phone is DEAD.

Same problem for me, but I solved today:
I connected the phone to pc in bootloader mode, the pc see the phone and says ppc usb sync, but the activesync not started.
I tried to install a qtek official rom by dangaard (you can find it here: http://www.megaupload.com/it/?d=4ELWL078 ) and I solded the problem !

I had same problem but in my case with downgrade from WM6 to ASERG rom, i have downloaded RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe and that fixed my problem.

PLease HELP..ROM update !!!

i have tired v3 wm6 update and..after the update my screen is stuck...at o2 sign..with bubbles,, the four red words appear on the screen but doesn't change anything...
i'd like to reflash back but it doesn't seem like connecting to PC via USB..
what do i do...?

and i found..
it just stopps in the boot loader mode and turns to black screeen .. and that's it...
I cna't even connect to USB so which means i can't flash back to normal..
is there any suggestions??
like resseting back up?

Try to Enter Bootloader:
Hold down the camera button and reset the device. (Boot Loader Mode is: Press Camara + Soft Reset, then release soft reset and keep pressing camara button till appear the Boot Loader.)
However, you have to write in the right post, i guess you mean the Ohlala_WWE_WM6_v3 ROM. If you had read the entire post youl'd know that this one is bad. V4 should solve the problem.

but the problem is...after I connect usb.. computer doesn't recognize my O2 device so I can't reflash my rom with SMart 1.
I ran the file called "upgrade_rom" for smart1 wm6 but it keeps telling me that "no device found.." so..
what should i do...
please help me...

You cannot use "upgrade_rom.bat" to flash ur device with RGB screen. The bat file is for upgrade, not for fresh install. It means that you have to install AKU2.xx NVID.exe (executable) first. The .exe file can recognize ur device via RGB screen.
After reset ur device with AKU2.x and successfully connect to the PC vis Activesync, you then can run upgrade_rom.bat.
And... don't be too panic. You have to read more.

is there an o2 version of NVID??? anywhere? i've just installed this but it says Qteck..

No it's a Qteck ROM not an O², I don't know if there is a 2.20 NVID ROM from O² here, sorry.

you could try this. Someone else posted it here, and when my phone stopped connecting after some update it fixed activesync. It's a switch.

Had O2 ever released HTC Prophet?
Sorry but I'm not O2 fan.
I have only Prophet so I know only Prophet.
You could go to the right thread for ur device O2 and look for the right .exe file.
PS: is it XDA Neo? If it is Prophet it should be OK.
Try holding Camera+Comm buttons during pressing reset button ur device will ask u to Format something. Press send button (green phone button) and try again.

anyone that can give me full step by step solution will be my personal god and i'll donate.
I tried flashing hard SPSL and its gone wrong.
I have a T-Mobile Vario III ( bought 8/02/08 )
I get up to the tricolour screen - with white at the bottom and this is what it says.
top left corner: RUUNBH
Right: KAIS130
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
At the bottom on the white it says 'serial' when the USB is plugged in it says USB.
Ive tried alot of things ive read now im stuck here.
please help.

so u're up to the tricolor screen......unplug and replug the cable, then hit enter

I you don't get it done PM me & I'll walk you through Harspl thru Jumpspl.
Although with Display Driver 1.56, you shouldn't have any issues.

If HardSPL is not installed but you can get to the boot screen then flash your original rom back! You can find a list of available original roms in the wiki, just make sure that you take the same operator (HTC, t-mobile,...) & the same language.
After flashing it back you should be able to use your phone again, then install HardSPL and flash any custom rom if you want.
Let us know how it goes...

THere are many posts like this.
Did u do your reading before flashing? Are you using Vista, if so get on a computor running XP, u cannot flash with vista.
Did you unplugg all ur usb devices and any other connection software? Try also other usb ports. I had to try 3 of my 4 before flashing worked for me.
Please read the wiki and search the forums tho, there are many good guides out there like this one attached (apols for zip file, i had saved the web page for use ages ago)
You also dont say what ur IPL/SPL numbers are so its difficult to help, you should list the steps when posting if you need help
Get back if you need more help...

Hi, I had similar problem even after repeated tries. What I did to get around it was:
1) Run the HardSPL (from Prophet tools or from RUU).
2) Check "I understand the caution..." and click next to get to 2nd screen (see attachment) on RUU where it gives you the 4 things to check before proceeding (here your Prophet must be entering the white screen).
3) Leave the RUU on the 2nd screen on the computer and disconnect Prophet after white screen gets stuck and activesync disconnects).
4) Reboot Prophet.
5) Reconnect Prophet and wait for activesync connection to be established.
6) Now on the computer check "I completed the steps indicated above" and click on next.
Hopefully this should go ahead and HardSPPL your Prophet.
Do let us know if this worked.

Hey,same problem here...but you probably got rid of the prophet already...well hope it helps someone else
thank God i had surfed to other sites and found this HARD SPL utility.
Its in "wm6 Update_Package" ...might as well be from here..
(dont know who made it-i`ve been downloading so much stuff lately from the web no offence )

Well, i brick my kaiser TyTn II when i was installing "V9" Rom.
He only start on tricolor Screen!
This is the information on Screen at tricolor :

CPLD-8
my computer Recognizes the USB connection with my HTC, and on screen of my phone appear "USB".
I can't use mtty application because appears "USB port can not open" using USB port.
Help me please, masters!

Have you installed HardSPL? If a rom didn't succeed you can (Normally) just reinstall another rom when your in the "USB Display".

This is posted in the wrong section and has nothing to do with rom development. This is not the " help me I screwed up my phone because I can't be bothered to read " section.
You have jumpspl on your phone, not hardspl. Flash your original stock rom back on your phone and then read " rom flashing for noobs " in it's entirety from the above stickies, before you really do " brick " your phone.

Please take your time to read threads before you go ahead with flashing a ROM.

To get out of the situation you are in try and flash stock ROM while in bootloader.
