Magic SPL HBOOT collection

Check out this thread in case you have a perfected SPL (fastboot remote: not allow).
Proceed on your own risk, you might brick your phone!!!
The following SPLs "should" work on PVT 32A and PVT 32B boards :
How to flash :
Skip step 2 and boot into recovery mode instead of step 3, if you already have a custom recovery flashed!
Download the SPL of your choice and copy it to the root of your SD-card.
Download the appropriate recovery here
Boot in fastboot mode

Wait a while
Choose Apply sdcard:choose zip and select the required SPL update
Press the GREEN key once the update is done
Press HOME + BACK to reboot

The G or H at the end identify if it's a Google or HTC SPL
ENG : Engineering version
SHIP : Shipment version
DEV : Development version (ION)
S-off and S-on : Security on and off (writing directly to nand or not) , most probably not SPL linked, S-on prevents you to downgrade.
PVT 32A (HTC branded) : 288MB RAM / Qualcomm MSM7200a
PVT 32B (Google branded) : 192MB RAM / Qualcomm MSM7201a

I have a nordic magic, its HTC branded, its the same as the swedish 3 sell.
has anyone with the same spl as i have tried to flash into some other spl? i really want to use a standard vanilla google rom instead of this htc branded one!

however, vodafone magic original spl is 1.33.0004

Do you know how to backup an original SPL from Htc Magic?

Which came from the ion phone does anyone know.

weird how my 32A has a CPLD-11 while all others have 12. My magic is from rogers btw.

Just a guess (correct me if I'm wrong) :
- CPLD stands for "Complex programmable logic device" :
CPLD 10 : Ion + Vodafone
CPLD 11 : Vodafone?
CPLD 12 : HTC?
Does anyone know what the 10,11 and 12 mean?
- The H or G at the end identify if it's a Google or HTC SPL
- ENG means Engineering version
- SHIP means SHIPMENT version
- Not sure what S-off and S-on mean (Signature check on or off ?)
Concerning the boards :

My vodafone always start with german lang, or is it saved different place in the phone?

You already have this SPL on your phone, I don't think there's a difference between 1.33.0009H and 1.3300.0009.
You should flash the Engineering SPL HBOOT-1.33.2005 if you want to flash different roms. If you want to run google's vanilla rom (like the ion) you should also flash the corresponding radio version... It can be risky since you don't have a backup of your radio/SPL.

but what can go wrong if it doesnt work, and why shouldnt it work? i dont really understand what the different SPL does. and why do i need a certain SPL to flash some roms?
lots of questions, but hopefully someone can answer them all! ;P

tried superhero v2 conversion,
ion ,

all work , more or less
got nandroid backup from device before experimenting,
but cant flash back due to verify failures.

RUU mode 32A on sapphire 32B

Hello i flash my 32b with "Official 3.03.990.6 SenseUI ROM for Vodafone", the phone is now in "RUU", i can t re-flash it or i don t found the good RUU.
I from france and i try all Ruu i can, but nothing.
the phone boot in fastboot with only RUU. my SPL 32b is now 32A.
if some know what to do? it s cool.

I have stucked in the same situation and I used the following to restore the phone:
Frist use HTC Sync fo Magic to update the phone with below ROM:

Same here stuck on RUU
same here after i flash my 32b with Official 3.03.990.6 and got a nice brick too.
i have tried arahma's RUU but im getting customer id error, update fail!
Dont know what to do anymore, fastboot find the device but i cant bootload recovery.img
Adb does not find device, so cant get a gold card.
Please help!!!

I think the key thing people are missing here is that this persons phone was a 32b not a 32a and after the bad flash its now coming up with 32a, i have the exact same issue and nothing seems to work, so i think ill tuf it and go back to my Windows Mobile (as much as i hate it) phone

You guys need to use the search function and read.
This issue has been posted multiple times before. Flashing the 32A only ROM on a 32B makes you unable to get out or RUU update mode. You wont be able to put anything on the phone, as the image extraction process will error out. You are now the owner of a brick.

perhaps you should have a look and see that i have kinda fixed the problem, and this wouldnt have happened if someone on here hadnt said that the rom was for 32b when in fact it was for 32a.

PVT 32B eng s-off H - which recovery image do i use? [solved]

I was having trouble flashing roms so I used a vodafone uk nandroid image and now I have lost root access.
Checking on my fastboot, it has changed from:
PVT 32B ship s-on G
to:
PVT 32B eng s-off H
Presumably because I have flashed crios eng spl.
So my question is, "s-off H" is found on 32A HTC branded devices, and my phone is a 32B Google branded. So what amon ra recovery should I use?
im assuming because its a 32B board i should use the G version not H.
Am I correct?

Have you tried fastbooting the recovery to see which will boot up?

Thanks brook, but unlike the guy in the other thread, my radio hasnt changed. My radio a .261 and his is a .17.
He has a 32A spl and 32A radio on a 32B board. Mine has 32B radio and board, but a 32A spl.
Again im assuming i can just use flashrec and flash amon ras G branded recovery?

Any rom freeze phone...
i have fast boot access and recovery.
After read many posts and before taken phone i know 32B normally must be G (google branded and phone really is...) why in fast boot appears H
How i can fix this?
already try cyanogen blabla... already read also it´s normal appears H after spl...

I had 32b with G also. After i've flashed the Danger SPL the "H" appears instead of "G". I don't know why...

I've flashed this one because I tried the espresso ROM... but changed back either to cm_4.1.13 and/or RA_1.6.3 donut.

danger G1 but i've managed to flash 1.6.3 and CM....13 with my old 1.33.004 spl also

Seriously telling u cud hve ended with a brick but thats a new find tht u can cross flash g1 n magic 32b spl.
now the spl u need is 1.33.2007 or an equivalent, search on root mt3g thread n look in lower part of OP n flash

I have KINgxKxKlair ROM. So far so good...

yes i also insert cyanogen with port kernel to 32a and all works ok in 32b G and shoes 32b H....
seems strange after a fews days of incompreensive system... phone now work

With which radio? Which recovery image did you use? And was it with one click process?

Everything works perfect!!! I love this Rom, Super D
Steps :
-Wipe Data/Factory reset, Dalvik/cache, SD:ext partition...
-Flash SPL
-Prompt when ask for restart
-Wait 5 min,
-Take the battery go again to recovery,
-Wipe again
-Create partitions and flash super D, probably the best ROM for Magic 32 b

Rooted 32b into 32a - cant revert

I cannot revert back to 32b. On fastboot it displays:

Radio - 3.22.20.17
Why does it show 32b and H on the top line?? When 32b is G?

yeah that should work..
just make sure you dont have anything else on the Sdcard except that file!
AND DONT TOUCH IT WHEN IT UPDATES >> WILL CAUSE A BRICK! Good luck!
