hi dear people help me out before i get mad
its been 6 days i am reading the posts and watching videos i had a perfected spl with android 1.6 details as follows
SAPPHIRE PVT 32B SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0006 (SAPP10000)
CPL-10
RADIO-2.22.19.26I
i manged to downgrade it by creating a gold card using Amon_Ra method here:

and now i have
SAPPHIRE EVT1 32B SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.0009 (SAPP20000)

RADIO-3.22.20.17
Why does it say H now while my boards is 32B it should be G
now when i use the flash recovery tool i says phone is 32A while its 32B so flashes the recovery but with i click home and power the screen stucks at HTC MAGIC boot screen
what do i have to do now???
plz help i am just lost into to many things

is your radio not 32a radio ???

Did you download and flash the correct Amon_Ra recovery image? There are 2, one is G and other is H, look at the link/file you downloaded.

Follow directions closely. There are 2 different versions of the sapphire 32A or 32B. always make sure you use the right stuff that you are trying to download for.
There is also no need to create a goldcard any more for the perfected SPL. Look up the Sapphire WIKI that is stickied and gather the important information.
Then follow the directions in this link: this worked perfectly for me.

I also came across other threads that indicate how to do this much simpler way, but this is the only one I can vouch for since I have tried it.

just download the 32B radio and recovery image, then go into fastboot and do this
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RAv1.2.3G.img

Yes, do this. This should fix you right up.

loads of thanks guys but i messed up the recovery i flashed was of H build and ROM i was trying to load was of 32B i did the flashing and now cannot go forth the HTC MAGIC logo i am stuck there
but i can go to the recovery and also can go to the fastboot and Hboot menu wat to do now

Lol. If you actually read the thread you "followed", would would have noticed Amon_RA's comment later on which says..
"[...] if you're using a 32B you just have to flash a 32B radio after (see how-to root mytouch thread for more info on that)."
As already stated, you need to flash back to a 32B radio and the fastboot command(s) were posted on Page 1. If you don't know how to use fastboot then you need to do more reading before attempting anything like this - you will need the Android SDK from their website.
Ofc flashing your radio can brick your phone if dont wrong, so I'd advise you do some reading up.

I'm not sure if the radio img on the HTC Dev site is suitable - I mean I guess so, but I don't know much about radio flashing so am not 100%.
Check the stickies for links, or search for guides on fastboot/using adb.

okay will do that i just messed up things thought they were quiet easy but they are turning out to be . . . . .. . . . .. .
i did this all for getting good UI like hero or caynogen but now the charm is dead its not my type of thing

Lol, then you needn't have downgraded in the first place. But anyway..
I'd advise sorting out your radio.img first (maybe the one from the HTC Dev ION site, but as I say I'm not sure), flashing an engineering SPL (now you don't have a perfect SPL anymore, this is a relatively straightforward procedure) and then flashing the Google ION official 1.6 ROM (unmodified ROM but you can gain root access and it's just normal 1.6).

PVT 32B eng s-off H - which recovery image do i use? [solved]

I was having trouble flashing roms so I used a vodafone uk nandroid image and now I have lost root access.
Checking on my fastboot, it has changed from:
PVT 32B ship s-on G
to:
PVT 32B eng s-off H
Presumably because I have flashed crios eng spl.
So my question is, "s-off H" is found on 32A HTC branded devices, and my phone is a 32B Google branded. So what amon ra recovery should I use?
im assuming because its a 32B board i should use the G version not H.
Am I correct?

Have you tried fastbooting the recovery to see which will boot up?

Thanks brook, but unlike the guy in the other thread, my radio hasnt changed. My radio a .261 and his is a .17.
He has a 32A spl and 32A radio on a 32B board. Mine has 32B radio and board, but a 32A spl.
Again im assuming i can just use flashrec and flash amon ras G branded recovery?

A problem about SPL 2010 for 32A

I have flashed my G2 TIM (HBOOT-1.33.0008 (SAPP10000) : Sapphire PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H : CPLD-12 (TIM (Italian))) to SPL 1.33.2010 from this thread:
But I have found one thing: when I open the zip file of 2010 (use winrar) and then view the "hboot.img" in the archive via text mode, I can see " ?.33.2010 7201A SPL EVT ENG H 犪 犪HBOOT-7201A" in it. It is the cpu type of 32B, not 32A.
I wondered if there maybe some problems...

so long as you got it from Amon_RA Magic SPL HBOOT collection thread, it will be good. thats where i got mine from, he does great work.

No. Nothing.
word "7201A" contained in 1.33.2010 ENG SPL, but phone recognized properly.
All used this SPL, no problem at all...

Freeze SAPPHIRE PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H

Any rom freeze phone...
i have fast boot access and recovery.
After read many posts and before taken phone i know 32B normally must be G (google branded and phone really is...) why in fast boot appears H
How i can fix this?
already try cyanogen blabla... already read also it´s normal appears H after spl...

I had 32b with G also. After i've flashed the Danger SPL the "H" appears instead of "G". I don't know why...

I've flashed this one because I tried the espresso ROM... but changed back either to cm_4.1.13 and/or RA_1.6.3 donut.

danger G1 but i've managed to flash 1.6.3 and CM....13 with my old 1.33.004 spl also

Seriously telling u cud hve ended with a brick but thats a new find tht u can cross flash g1 n magic 32b spl.
now the spl u need is 1.33.2007 or an equivalent, search on root mt3g thread n look in lower part of OP n flash

I've found some info: The G or H at the end identify if it's a Google or HTC SPL
So i have a HTC SPL on my Magic 32b and everything is just fine.
I have KINgxKxKlair ROM. So far so good...

With which radio? Which recovery image did you use? And was it with one click process?

Steps :
-Wipe Data/Factory reset, Dalvik/cache, SD:ext partition...
-Flash SPL
-Prompt when ask for restart
-Wait 5 min,
-Take the battery go again to recovery,
-Wipe again
-Create partitions and flash super D, probably the best ROM for Magic 32 b

Why are you using recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.5.2H.img when you should be using G? You should learn to read instructions.
You also point out that it's a 32B with H (which is fine) but you continue to flash the H recovery..? It appears that you understand the difference between the H and G yet.. you flash the H recovery. Wtf.

OK, first, I used G recovery, but It not work (it stop at boot screen, cannot join recovery screen). So I change H recovery > it OK that all !

Really? H recovery works for your phone? I've double checked my answer and people with the H, use the G recovery and it works fine for them... Now I'm just confused.
You should be using 32B Roms for your phone.
Correct me if I'm wrong... but I'm quite positive I have this right. What roms are you flashing that cause you to be stuck at the bootscreen
Maybe it has something to do with your radio... I think the H recovery works because of your radio. I'm gonna look it up.
Did you by any chance flash a different radio? If you did... well it appears that radio 3.22.20.17 is from rogers, therefore it's a 32A radio.. but I could be wrong. I haven't found enough info to back this up yet! Maybe someone else can come and help
If you did change and flash a different radio, I'd advise you to be careful before bricking it.

You need to flash 32A ROM ports if you use that radio version.

Thank everyone who gave me advises !
But I still don't understand why my phone is 32B and I can only use H recovery (32A), cannot use G recovery (32B), although tried different versions
my phone has RADIO-3.22.20.17 With this problem, I not confident to up new radio

the radio version dictates which recovery you will be able to use, hence your H recovery.
The only alternative to that radio that you have is the downgrade to 2.xx.xx.xx radio that you previously had.
DO NOT TRY TO FLASH 6.35.xx.xx

What best radio for my phone now?

Got almost the same problem.
Started with Vodafone org ROM with "Perfect SPL".
Managed after alot of testing getting it to:
SappHIRE PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-3.22.20.17
With this ROM I can fastboot.
But havn't managed to use any recovery image yet.
No success with:
- cm-recovery-1.4.img
- recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.5.2G.img

The recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.5.2H.img worked.
But still can't flash a rom.. have tested the MghtyMax, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=570700
