I've got this big problem.
I can't flash any rom to my wizard.
My pc just freezes :S
And unlocking doesn't work either, but I think it's already unlocked.
Some more detail:
SPL: 1.06
IPL: 1.01
Wizard ROM: (now) Windows Mobile 5.0 - I want a upgrade to WM 6.5
Computer OS: Windows 7.

With IPL and SPL 1.xx you can unlock your Wizard if it is not unlocked already. To check the CID-Lock you may use WST (WizardServiceTool).
If you want to flash a ROM you should use an XP PC. I would never use Vista or Win7! Take XP and everything will work fine!

Hi all I'm still newbie in this forum.
I have a MDA Vario T-Mobile I bought it from my friend (2nd hand), now its used a iMate ROM. I don't know which ROM that he used to upgrade the PDA.
I want to ask can I upgrade my MDA to WM6? When I resest my MDA it displayed:
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.06
GSM 01.01.10
OS 1.1.9.3
What should I prepared to upgrade my MDA to WM6? Thanks before.

From the looks of your IPL and SPL, seems to be a G3... so not a problem...
from wiki
A G3 Wizard will have the following
IPL: 1.xx or 2.xx or 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has TWO 0's.).
SPL: 1.xx or 2.xx or 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has TWO 0's.)
A G4 Wizard will have the following
IPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has THREE 0's.)
SPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has THREE 0's.)

Oh I forget I have another problem. Why my MDA when sync with my PC sometimes disconnect by itself, now it's more worst I can't sync my MDA to my PC. I used Active Sync 4.0 Windows 2000 SP4.

I don't know but after reading so many brick units, maybe it is better you do a hard reset and see if it solves your Active Sync connection problems before attempting an upgrade..
My MDA now can connect.

If I want to upgrade to WM6 what should I prepared? How I can know my MDA wa CID unlocked? I read on Faria WM6 thread we must have 2xxx bootloader version. I don't know how we can know our bootloader version? And the last question I want to know how to hard reset my MDA?

you have to upgrade using that 2.26 rom!!! If you dont BEWARE the Devil will come for you
Ya you have to or you could just brick your phone! You have to have IPL/SPL above 2.00. The rom 2.26 as above will give you IPL/SPL 2.26.
And before you try to flash make sure you have read all you can, cus it does not always go right first time and you need to know what to do if you have a problem.
If you start flashing and it reset. Dont think it is dead try below
Hold the button voice button and press the reset button, when it sorts its self out you should have a screen with 3 colors. Connect your USB and flash away but use a non cooked rom. Flash T-mobile 2.26 again
I once had to re-flash my phone 6 times before I was happy! Then found out that i could have sored the problem by using a reg key!! LOL oh well!
I have already SPL 1.06 and IPL 1.01 can I directly unlock my MDA using lokiwiz? No need to downgrade to button ROM.

If you are still on IPL/SPL 1.XX
you should be able to unlock it with the lokiwiz software.

Thanks guys now I'm on Faria ROM real thing but I'm still confused about my MDA why everytime I want to sync I must replace the USB cable more than two times to get syncronize with my PC. Some times it disconnect by it self, than I must reconnect again. Anyone know what happen to my MDA?
Hi mates. i was using tnt series wm6 rom. and i just tried to upgrade to faria's rom using shell tool. and after non successful upgrading now. when i start my wizard it stuck on boot screen. with this info.
ipl : 3.08
spl: 3.08
Gsm : 2.19.11
OS : 2.18.0.0
i tried a alot installing original t-mobile shipped rom but it says the update utility is not for your device.
i tried a lot installing other roms using shell tool. but all return this screen. so please let me know. how i will completly flash this thing..

Are you using Windows Vista on your PC.
If you do, do some search around to find how to update from Vista in Bootloader Mode, as Vista can not talk to the phone on that state

i also tested with wizard service tool. and its also not detecting the device in boot loader mode.
so please let me know. what i will do. and which rom i will try to fix that issue.

Hi I love this site. I need some help i did plently reading on roms n flashes and tried plenty out. My Question is that i have an htc 8125 phone which is unlocked and has windows mobile 5 on it and is is ilp 1.05 spl 3.08. I wanna put windows mobile 6 with the touch flow and cube but so far I ain't able.
I tried out TNT_5.0_Wizard_TouchFLO and NBK 9 on the Tnt i did it with active sync. I noticed on using TNT at starting my phone on i Get a TNT windows mobile 6 screen then when the phone boots up it customizes cingular and im back with windows mobile 5.
anyway to put windows mobile 6 and touch flo.

When downgrading your phone so that you can unlock it - you need
Both IPL and SPL @ 1.XX
Yours are not the same - so you need to redo the process to get these two numbers to match. Flash the button rom.
Then, you need to flash a stable oem rom - like the Tmobile 2.26
In order to flash WM6 roms - you need ipl and spl of 2.XX or greater.
You've mentioned that you did some reading - do a little more. Read the unlocking and flashing a wizard posts, follow each step - do not skip any. Take your time, the how to's are very detailed - but they are bang on.

htc 8125 problem!
Hi that such I have written for several sides asking the same thing, which happens it is that I have a htc cingular 8125 and need the help someone who can devote a solution to the problem that on having connected my htc to the pc, the activesync it synchronizes well and habia could before formatting the memory could spend(pass) of quite files etc.. But now after erasing I want to install any rom and it turns out that the rom does not recognize the htc, me mistake and the this battery 100 % loaded, the cable in good conditions, I changed the framework into the last one to the pc etc.. And nonetheless I could not have installed the rom.. not that to do.

Is your phone a G3? Install SuperCID.
Is your phone a G4? Run HardSPL.
Once that is done, you should be able to load the Wizard Love ROM.
Then, you should be able to load any WM6 ROM from these boards.
Okay I want windows mobile 6. Whatever reliable working version I can get. I need to apparently unlock the CID and Sim unlock the phone? Carrier is T-mobile. I'm not new to registries, etc. I created my own Iphone theme with all the great perks (just for fun) even so I'm not new to hacking a phones appearance, but everything else like flashing, etc. I'm new to. I'm good at figuring things out though.
But I reviewed multiple threads and just don't get it, which one do I use?
So if anyone can help me out, please do. I have all the roms for the new 6.5 and all that but the only thing is NONE are english or say what version itll change to, etc. Any help is appreciated.

If you have followed this guide & you have managed to flash T-Mobile 2.26 rom (step G3.7) you can flash every rom that you can found here with safety. As you will see it is recommended to fully charge your phone first & use Windows XP for flashing & not Vista. Good luck.-
I tried the 2.26 rom to flash it from 1.08... All it does is switches to the green red whtie or blue screen and then wont flash or install the rom...

What guide have you followed to CID & SIM unlock your phone?
Did you flash Button Rom?
After flashing Î’utton Rom if I remember right you must have IPL/SPL 1.05
Then you can flash 2.26
This is what I have done.-
I'm running vista if that's the problem.. But I tried flash button rom and that just gives me an end process error. I dont have 1.06 but 1.08

You can take a look here too.
Read the procedure
I think that maybe you have not yet CID/SIM unlocked your phone.
Be carefull. If you are not CID/SIM unlocked & you are trying to flash a rom different from the one that came with the phone, you can brick your device.
Read very carefully the guides & follow them step by step.-

It's hit and miss with Vista. I have Vista 64 and cannot get it to work so I have 1 computer in the house that has XP just for flashing my 8125.
Hi, I've been to the wiki page and downloaded the cid unlocker, T-Mobile rom, Lokiwiz and the Hornet 6.1 rom. I actually wanted a touch flo rom but every link seems to be dead. My ipl and spl are both 2.16.0001 so I have a G4. I have recently changed providers (I'm in New Zealand) so I take it my phone must be unlocked?
My problem is I'm using Windows 7 and so the windows mobile centre but when I use the "custom-ruu-wizard-1050412" program. I get part way through the installation and windows tells me the program has stopped working and recommends I close the program or check online and when I check online it just shuts down...help!!!
What am I doing wrong?
