Hi! I'm uploading a zip with img from tatoo wwe 1.65.405.1 rom, i've no time to try to pack a rom for magic/dream (and i prefer original android, not htc !)

as far as I understand, this is a raw system dump, nothing to flash atm.

as soon as i finish downloading my JDK i can get the emulator to boot and do "adb pull system" and port from there
::edit:: its gunna be a while i cant find my boot.img unpacker.....
found it woot gunna just boot my roomys laptop into ubuntu .... and unyaffs these other folders
t minues 2 hours on my jdk download damn tethering and 2 bars of 3g service

donut 1.6 + sense ... wow !

i give up i had a couple ideas to merge the framework to get her to boot and i cant get it to work
i dont think i know enough about android to be attempting this but it was fun none the less
good luck to whomever gets her done

from what im seeing inside some of the apks and stuff were gunna have to change out drawables for the apk.s because i dunno if 1.6 is backwords compatible with 1.5 apks
tried lots of mashup ideas and still no bueno....
*is thinking of a good way to maybe mash this to boot it*

Donut is indeed backward compatible. Got 1.6 on my magic and testing it quite vigorously.

cant wait for flash-able donut rom with sense

i like the new htc boot screen with the androids gonna rip it out of this and try to flash with kings 1.8

theres already a build in dream forum that has this scaled to fit mt3g/dream screen resolutions or you can download my tattoo port in progress and steal it from there should be scaled properly

google unyaffs, download it, make it executable (chmod a+x), put it in one of your binary path directories, then mkdir system, mv system.img system, cd system, and unyaffs system.img, done!

Thanks, Jubeh, knew about unyaffs but I was missing the chmod part, finally got the system.img extracted.

i gave up on windows and got my macbook last night and got it all unyaffed
now if only i knew about structuring of files in android so that i could merge tattoo with a 1.6 build to run or port it

Can you post how to use unyaffs on mac

The easy way is to replace the /framework and /app folders into a working hero port, though problems could ensue due to differenced in libraries, so merging /lib is also a good idea.
Personally, I'd like to know what every file does and which lib apps depend on. The builds I've made before usually contain unused libraries that I don't remove because I don't know where they're needed and proper documentation is not available outside the source.
What I think you need to do is take the build, then merge the HTC provided proprietaries, and then use the rest of the libs with their corresponding boot.img (as they're created during compilation and depend on that particular kernel)
Again, I really wish I knew what all libs do (I think I know about 30% of them on a stock build)

i know i need a file heirarchy
thats why i sat last night and compared a BARE BONES 1.6 build Cyanogens 1.6 and Tattoo and Hero.
i was pretty blazed soo i got bored REAL fast but i did have the mash of ion1.6hero boot just no images and stuck in boot loop and adb couldnt read the log (prolly due to drivers i merged without knowing)
I would WORSHIP someone if they can come up with a "guide" if you would of what apks correspond with what libs to assist in such merging efforts or porting efforts
like i outlined in my post in sapphire the idea is
1.6 framework + Rosie + hero + some blur effects (bouncy menu and screen transitions)
and the corresponding Tattoo apps that are portable and the ones that arent can be replaced with hero apps

I want to replace this file but I did not how ? I don't install a recovery program in the device I don know how to enter to device files without these programs ?

Install ADB on your computer (look elsewhere on how to do this)
Connect phone to computer via USB
type "adb remount" to mount phone file system in read-write mode
type "adb push C:\path\to\your\good\build.prop /system
DONE

To begin:
Put the Nandroid backup folder 4.5.1-134walter on the SDCard in this folder:

Installation for red lens:
Install official FroYo (if you have CM7, Miui, or any other rooted Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread with 2nd-init enabled rom go to step 4)
After setting up FroYo, root it.
Install CWM via 2nd-init from market.
reboot and run 2nd-init (voldown on blue LED)
Go to "Recovery"
Go to "Custom Recovery"
Go to "Wipe data"
Go to "Backup and Restore"
Go to "Restore"
Select "4.5.1-134walter" and confirm
reboot. You should get stuck in a black screen.
Flash the FixedSBF now (pull battery --> go to bootoloader VOLUP+Power, flash /defy/fixed-sbf via RSD-lite)
After this process is finished the phone should reboot. Booting up can take a while, max is about 10 minutes.
Charge your phone to 100% and keep it charging for an hour after.
Calibrate your battery using the batterycalibration from market
Insall method with SOC green camera
1. Start from 2.2 Froyo (I use JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_179-002_DEBLUR_CEE.sbf)
2. Root it.

On red lens everything works.
But it need some patches. 720p, panorma, etc ...
The rom is like 4.5.1-134 beta.

BlurCamera.apk is the problem.
