Hello, i was able to upgrade my I-Mate upgrade with a cooked rom (some kind of WM6.1 with All Languages but it's really unstable...). In short, i'm tired of this WM6.1 so I decide to downgrade the phone to WM5, it's was stable and fast but without spanish. After reading the post Imate SPL 6.1 ROM i found the RUU for the original version of I-mate SPL with WM5, but after running the RUU application an error message apper just before flashing "ERROR: Invalid IPL File blah blah blah".
I've also tried the SD method, but the screen goes White and nothing happens. Is there a way to downgrade from WM6.1 to WM5 using the RUU? or can I override the IPL and "force" the flashing?

I am not a really experienced user in ROM upgrading, IPLs, SPLs, and the works. I have read a LOT about these subjects and i still don't understand a few things. Nevertheless i tried.
I own a G4 CID-Locked Prophet (QTEK S200) as described in the title and i tried upgrading to WM6 "just to see" what the hell would it do.
Before trying this WM6 upgrade i tried yet another thing which is kinda risky and actually turned this same S200 into a brick temporarily. I used the known shelltool_bugfixed application to upgrade to AKU 3.3.13 (extract OS from a complete ROM, then replace the OS file with the AKU 3.3.13 one) and it worked. I tried doing the same with clean1 V2 ROM and it bricked it.
I reflashed the Prophet with an original ROM using the novendor-id RUU, thinking it would never bring it to life, but it did. Also upgraded my SPL to 2.13.0001.
Then i tried upgading to clean1 V2 WM6 rom again (Jesus, stubborn guy) just by simply decompressing the files and running "UPGRADE_ROM.BAT". And it worked.
I was REALLY surprised because i read over and over again about this and i had the idea WM6 needed some special IPL and/or SPL and that my device had to be CID-Unlocked before the upgrade.
These are just a few events of yesterday and today with my Prophet which i wanted to share with you. I still find it unbelievable but here i am, running WM6 and happy as hell with it. WM6 really looks awesome and works a treat

If you dont write IPL/SPL without the right CID, you cant use all WM6 Firmwares ;-)
So you mean IPL and SPL are directly related to CID-Locks?
I wish i could understand that, it would help me figure out what i can use on my CID-Locked Prophet and what i can't... before i brick it for good
As i said above, when i "brought it back to life" with an original JamIN rom, it upgraded the SPL to 2.13.0001 (it was 2.10.0001 previously).

Don't know what your are talking about but all wm6 in this forum gave me no problems when i flashed them. Mine is CID locked G4 from ORANGE. So just try. There are lots of alternatives. All working more or less... Find the one better suits your prophet.
Read what i said in the first post. I know it's a bit confusing, but it says there i have successfully flashed my S200 with WM6 (smart1 V2 ROM).
I was just surprised because with all the spread information around WM6, i thought i needed to downgrade to some "special" IPL/SPL version or that i couldn't flash just because my G4 is CID-Locked.
After all, i can just flash about anything without bricking my S200. The only thing i think would brick it is if i downgraded (somehow) the IPL/SPL. Am i correct?
you can only upgrade IPL & SPL
but you can upgrade and downgrade OS
what I really confused about it, what is the relation between IPL&SPL and OS
as I understand, some OS need newer IPL & SPL

as I noticed, there isn't any relation between IPL/SPL and OS
and upgrading SPL doesn't take any profits
I'll try to make the long story short… Here is the situation:
Cingular 8125 G3, IPL and SPL originally 2.5x, SIM and CID unlocked. I wanted to update my device to WM6 so tried to update to T-Mobile 2.6 to get 2.6x SPL but update gave me "wrong nfk" error. I used 3.08 IPL/SPL update which result Cingular 2.5.xx OS and 3.08 IPL/SPL- all fine so far. Tried to flash the XM6r4 rom but update freeze at 99%. I restarted my Wizard and now I'm on 3.08 IPL/SPL boot loader screen, tried again to update to XM6r4 ROM and again freeze at 99%. I restarted my Wizard and had no choice then flashing the love ROM. Wizard loads ok after flashing the Love ROM, IPL is 1.05, SPL is 3.08. Tried to flash nbd.v7.9 (WM6) ROM. The ROM flashed OK, but after restart I'm on the same state- Love ROM loaded, IPL is 1.05, SPL is 3.08 NO WM6…
How can I get WM6 on my device?
Any help would be appreciated!

After some reading I found out that my device was not CID unlocked, this was the main issue. I downgraded to IPL 1.05 again then CID unlocked it. I have WM6 running right now. Thanks again!
I'm triying to make UPGRADE with differents ROM but when the process finish i stell having the same OS WM5 from Tmobile, i did downgrade with botton downgrade rom i used LOKIWIZZ but ever happen the same, what i doing wrong?

You should be more detailed in explaining things.
First Try to tell us step by step what errors are you getting.
On the signature you say ipl/spl 3.08 (it should mean you're cid unlocked).
So please describe the update rom process better
OK First I had IPL 2.26 and SPL 2.26 with TMOBILE wizard ROM I tryed to update to to WM6 HTC Professional + Home, everything in the process look in order, pass to 99 % in the Progress BAR and wait several minutes and i get again the tmobile ROM the same one, so read several post and I dicide to downgrade with Wizard Button ROM, and it was succesefully, I was in that moment ipl 1.05 something else and SPL 2.26, so I used, so I upgrade to the TMOBILE wizard ROM, and I get IPL 2.26 and SPL 2.26 and I'm tryed again to made a new UPGRade with the same ROM WM6 HTC Professional + Home and it was the same results again, so I made the UPGRADE with the IPS_SPL 3.08 File and now I m in this point now. So what i must do?
Downgrade IPL and SPL does not mean you have CID unlocked your phone. You need to use lokwiz02 to unlocked it when IPL is 1.01. Then first upgrade IPL to 2.2x / 3.08, after that you can proceed to upgrade WM6.

i use a long time the TNT Vanilla Rom based on wm6 at my HTC Wizard and will now flash it with Xion's wm6.1. But it doesn't work. I have a G4 which is CID unlocked.

I think i flashed my wizard with HardSPL in those days. My Problem now: i can't flash with wm 6.1. i try to flash with the orginale o2- and qtek-rom, but that doesn't work with the same error:
error[300] invalid updatetool.
A try to remove the HardSPL (what ever that means or works) like described in the following post, but don't work, too, with the same error...

I don't change every day something on my wizard, but in this days i want to update it. i read a long time, hope i recognize my problem right and could describe it.
i wouldn't have a long howto, just a little advice, if THIS is my problem (and how i could solve it) or i look in the wrong direction....at the moment i stand still

I have a unlocked kaiser 130 and i want to change the language but get the error of vendor id. I think that have to run the hard SPL to install new rom, i have spl 1.56.
Already try SPL 1.13, 1.93 and 1.56 but always sutck in 0%.
The phones are the same or the spl is diferrent?

install HardSPL, DaveShaw (.hard) 3.34 Hard SPL nostuckinSPL Force USB was suggested for WM6.5, but you can choose a different one as you like.
Have you run CIDunlocker?
My Kaiser is Kais130 as well

If you have old WM6, get an official upgrade to 6.1 which will move your SPL to 3.x. Then run JumpSPL on your phone and then try flashing HardSPL 3.34 by DaveShaw (remember to disconnect battery before booting and running JumpSPL! Yea, it is MUST, not OPTION!!) and it is done.
Also, all of this you can find in official HardSPL thread. Don't be lazy to search!
Just follow the flashing guide by mskip, any problems, please post in that thread.
