ive had a Fuze for almost a year now and i really like the phone. the other day something went wrong on the phone and the screen just simply wont work. its black no matter what. the phone actually does come on because it vibrates when i turn it on after taking battery in/out. i can even answer phone calls and adjust volume with side buttons and everything. its just the screen that does not work.
i called the warranty place and they send me a new Fuze which is good, but im a bit scared sending this one back to them (which i have to do within the next 5 days). will they find out the original Hard SPL and ROM is not loaded onto the phone? i had a custom ROM on there and im afraid they might discover this and charge me a ridiculous amount of money for my new phone. does anyone have any insight about this or what i should do?

Ok, so I've had my Fuze like 4 or 5 months now and have had no problems until a day or two ago. I try to do anything, my screen does not work properly. I touch somewhere and it doesn't register it 95% of the time. I looked at the screen and there seems to be a little liquid under there but I don't know how it got there, I put a screen protector on it the whole time I've had it and it just appeared out of nowhere and it's never had any kind of liquid spilt on it or anything. I try to click on the text box for SMS in touchflo 2.1 and it won't go in there and it starts moving the text messages up and down and opening task manager randomly and whenever I open the start menu it goes right into moving the items around. I have tried reflashing but have not yet tried to go back to stock. I'm going to try that and if it doesn't work I'm takin it in to AT&T to see if they can either give me a new one or fix it.
I have had the same problem with my screen on Touch Pro.
I had to get the phone repaired under warranty. I think HTC replaced the screen.
Search the forums, quite a few people have had this problem.
Has it been exposed to heat?
Seeing as your a fellow texan, have you left it in your car or under direct sunlight for a prolonged period?
I'd look up an At&t Device Support center and take it to them, they should change the device on the spot if there's no physical damage and its still under warranty.
Make sure you revert to the Stock/Shipped ROM and SPL (i wouldn't worry too much about the SPL though if you can't get it, i've turned in 2 devices with a hardSPL and nothing ever happened, but its better to be safe then sorry right?)
best of luck

I think your fears are right, safest bet is to go stock on everything. First thing is to get the ATT ROM from here:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-fuze/downloads/
This will install the latest stock ROM and Radio. I verified the download works.
Next, go here to get the stock SPL:

Follow the directions at the bottom of the first post.
Good luck!
thank you this is going to be difficult without a screen but im going to try !
wow my screen miraculously started working after being nonresponsive for 5 days i was able to restore everything to stock
they might think its fishy when i send the phone back in and everything works fine but oh well, it definitely did NOT work for like 4-5 days...

warranty laws change from country to country
I have had my treo 750 for only 4 years or so, lately it's been freezing up while texting, it also takes a while for the time to adjust when I wake up the screen, and finally the screen, once in a while, will go squirrelly after a soft reset, kinda diagonal?? You can still make out the picture but it's seriously distorted. I've spent a couple late nights on here trying to download different things but I am a little overwhelmed. I'm lost amid hard spl's, and rom's.
I didn't realize how attached to this phone I have become and I cant afford another smart phone right now.
If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be so grateful. If it means the phone is dead, so be it. I hate to give up on it. Please advise, and thanks, what an interesting site.
Can anyone advise me if this phone is done or worth working on?
My Nexus 5 is 6 months old, it hasn't fallen hard, doesn't have a scratch on it, but today the auto-rotate feature was not working. I didn't gave it much thought, but next time I picked up my phone, the whole screen was upside down (see picture attached) and had huge lines all over it, making it very hard to figure out or read anything, and the place were all the buttons should have been were OK, instead of following the change-upside down, so to write a 'A', I have to press 'L' and so on, for everything. Basically impossible to do.
I did a hard reboot to factory settings, and even on the recovery screen everything was upside down, and nothing changed after it.
I have been searching for people with the same issue and I found nearly none or no answers to that thread.
Has anyone experienced the same issue, and what was it in the end?
My phone is under warranty from LG still, but Im afraid if I send it for repair, they will just say is a broken screen, therefore making me pay for it (around 150). If anyone thinks otherwise please say so.
I have found the same issue for other phones (older) and some people say is a broken or faulty Flex Cable. Can this be possible? (I could repair that myself)
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks!

If you have warranty take it to LG.
It will be an expensive way to find out what is fauilty, the motherboard or the screen.
