How to automatically clear SMS notifications after reading them - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

It's getting kind of annoying that I would have to click on 'clear notifications' even after reading those SMSs... any idea how to turn this off the moment I preview or read them? I'm using HandCent and I can't seem to find the proper setting. Appreciate any help.

never mind. figured it out.

Ok you ask for help, then figure it out so why not share with everyone the answer. It could help someone else looking to do the same thing.

Clearing Market Searches?

Hey guys,
My question is pretty simple; has anyone been able to figure out how to clear/remove/reset the searches you do in the Android Market? I know if you wipe your phone, that clears it, but is there any other way -- or even a app? Thanks in advance!
So apparently, 92 people and counting have looked at this thread... and not ONE single answer yet -- not even a "NO"... this can't be done. Is that weird to anyone else, besides me??
Yes it can be done with an app called CacheMate
Link to APP
Or try this, was on another forum somewhere:
If you have root access, it appears that you can delete /data/data/com.android.vending/databases/suggestions.db. I had to reboot for this to be effective. I haven't noticed any issues after doing this. The file seems to be recreated by the market app.

WordUp! (is it missing?)

I reset my phone today and began searching for WordUp to reinstall it and I couldn't find it anywhere in the market. I was wondering if anyone has any information on what may have happened to it? Also I'm not sure if this is or isn't allowed, but if it is allowed can someone post the .apk for it? Thanks in advance.
Yeah, I'm not finding it either for some reason when I just looked. Not sure why, but I had it backed up with Titanium.

Thanks, plainjane! I was looking into this, and according to the dev's (Anthrological) twitter, it was yanked because someone somewhere has apparently been granted a trademark for the phrase "word up" ...it'll be back soon, pending a name change.

Unread Messaging Count doesnt clear

So today I flashed the new build of Beans Custom Stock (B8). I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with the number showing unread text messages.
I saw some threads where people tried different things for different devices but none of those general hints helped. I tried clearing the cache and davlek cache in CMW, I also tried clearing the settings for messaging in the applications manager but that didnt help. I should note that all of these methods did indeed remove the unread count HOWEVER as soon as I receive another text message its stuck again.
If anyone has any advice please let me know! Its annoying having an unread message count all the time.
Thanks guys!

Don't know if this will help or not, but I have seen this mentioned before and it was recommended to go into Dev options and make sure that "do not keep activities" was not checked.
Good luck

Tasker help

I've searched all over and cannot find a way to do this so i decided to post a question and see if anyone can help.
On the Tasker app i want to make my phone automatically reply to a received text message from a specific contact one time only. right now as it stands, my auto response will keep being sent to the contact until i manually disable the task. is there a way to have it only send once and disable on it's own??
also, does anyone know where i can find a list of all the variables and their functions?? or maybe a link that you guys found helpful when using this app. so far what i've been able to make it do is amazing but i know there is so much more that i need to learn. any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Facebook notifications lock screen issues

Hey all,
I've been searching around and seeing that this issue is happening to other people as well but I didn't find any answer, I tried going to Facebook with this but no luck.
Did someone had luck with this? Or at least have a workaround? This thing is driving me crazy! I really don't know how this is not bothering anyone
See attachment for the issue.
Thanks for anyone helping!

I don't have a solution, but have the same problem. It doesn't bother me as much on the lock screen, but it bothers me that I get big white FB notifications on my Ambient Display, while FB Messenger was displaying white test on the black background.
Edit: On a whim, I tried updating to the latest Facebook Beta (240.0.0.27 for Android 9+) and it appears to be resolved. I snagged the APK from APKMirror.
My screenshot. The app wouldn't let me add this to my previous post.
