6700 stuck in 1.00 bootloader - XV6700, PPC-6700 ROM Development

I'm trying to prepare my old 6700 to give to a friend, but can't get it reflashed to the stock sprint rom (APAC_SPCS_20600_300_11200_ship.exe, downloaded directly from Sprint). It appears the phone is stuck in the 1.00 bootloader (dark screen, says "SERIAL" until I connect the USB, then changes to "USB".
MTTY couldn't connect (no "USB" in menu), but nueTTY can. The problem HERE is that once I'm connected, I have no idea what to actually DO. Searching returns about a thousand results, and all the results I looked at either didn't resolve the problem and left it hanging, or involved PMs that solved the problem for THEM, but left no information of enduring value for anyone ELSE to read. I've seen dozens of postings saying "use MTTY to run the exit bootloader app", but no hint of what that app actually IS, or how to go about launching it.
So... with the phone tethered via USB, 1.00 bootloader active, and connected via nueTTY... what do I do next?

Error [260] Connection

So I am trying to play with my new tilt for the first time, and after lots of reading I began to try. I am starting with POF's Hard Spl package, and I am stuck with that. I followed all of the instructions precisely, but when I get to the RUU screen, it says to connect PDA phone to the USB cable, and establish an Active Sync connection. Well it won't establish an ActiveSync connection now...and if I just check the box, I get the ERROR [260] Connection message, and it says to hit esc to finish. Then the phone is just stuck on the tricolor screen, and only thing I can do is reset.
So....now what? I have tried to google and xda search this problem, I saw one person with the same problem, but then posted back a little while later saying he resolved the issue, but didn't say how...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Yes. Use another computer.. or disable your firewall or de-activate your AntiVirus program. You have some sort of conflict in the drivers. It happened to me and the only it worked for me is when I switched to another PC to do the upload.
I will have to try it out on my laptop when I get up...but I have no firewall enabled, and no anti-virus running. But if this is a driver issue, then I don't see how those 2 things would come into play?
So, switching to my laptop worked, thank you for that. I have sucessfully installed Dutty's v3 rom, but now it seems my battery depletion is on a downward spiral. It has gone down 10% in less than 10 mins, and it is just sitting on the table, nothing running.
Any ideas on that?
Also is there anything else after the rom install that I should add/do? I
have seen a few different posts about radios...not sure will keep looking lol...
Thanks again,
Michael
I had the Error [260] Connection issue at some point in the beginning of flash process.
Changing to a different usb-port in my laptop solved it to me.

Can Somebody Talk me through HardSPL and Dutty Rom?!

I've been at this for 2 days now with no luck. I have my Tilt and I want to use Dutty's Rom V3. I've tried HardSPL sereval times with no luck. I use Vista and that seems to be the problem. I've tried using the method offered by the MrVanX website. Still nothing. I've searched the forums like crazy looking at a bunch of different solutions and trying them but nothing.
Is anybody willing to talk me through it on AIM. My SN is scoorch33.
My bootloader screen shows the thing below, and thats it.
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
Everything you need my friend is right here on this site. Sometimes it may take a day of reading before you find the answer, but trust me, anything that you are experiencing, someone else has already had and found a solution for that particular problem. For the hard_spl problem, which is the first thing that needs to be done, try this thread...it helped me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354061
I tried using the solutions from that page. I did what the instructions say and during the bootloader screen I get something like this.
KAIS1*0
Jump SPL
CPLD-8
After that I try what it suggests, running the Splash screen application but nothing happens. I extract the files onto my Desktop of my PC and I double click.
A MS-DOS prompt appears for a split second and then disappears. The same happens when I run KaiserCustomeRUU.exe. A brief flash of a dos prompt and then nothing.
My phone stays in the bootloader screen the entire time and then I soft reset, but there are no visible changes to the phone.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
I'm trying to do the White Screen Solution Method of flashing the phone. Right now the phone won't even stay on without the SIM card in. It gets to me entering the password and then shuts down and restarts again.
So I run the JumpSPL on my phone and it goes to tricolor mode.
I unplug and plug the USB cable. I then try to run the suggested RUU program. The progam flashes up for a second. I don't even see what it says. The phone still stays in tricolor mode.
Phone doesn't restart until I do a soft reset.
Anybody have any suggestions?
I got it to work.
Found an old harddrive and loaded up XP and did everything.

Hard_SPL

All,
Read the forums and done all the searches but struggling. Download the Kaiser-HardSPL exe and ran it on my PC (using XP). Get the tricolor and USB screen but then it tells me to disconnect and reconnect USB, but it never goes green again so consequently it doesn't go any further. I've reset the Kaiser and tried again but no joy. Thanks in advance
Read carefully, when you're in the tri-color screen and unplug/plug your device, the activesync icon shouldn't be green cause it is not able to detect your device as a WM one.
Gray is the way to go

Yes, I saw that. The icon has gone grey on my desktop. The next step though says connect the PDA back again via usb and establish a connection. How do you know if it has established. I clicked ok anyway ran the program but it can't read the existing rom info off my kaiser and comes back with a connection error
If i'm correct you should wait for a minute or two to let the ActiveSync connect to your Kaiser. After that it should be good to go further..
Be sure that the ActiveSync icon on your computer desktop is green at that stage..

On your screen, at the bottom, it should say USB.
Once you see that you are ready to install the HardSPL
OK guys success. I think what threw me was the activesync staying grey during flashing but found a nice vid on youtube which helped. Many thanks

So Bricked

yeah, i know, theres probably a solution here, if i only go throu all the hundreds of hits. =)
I tried to upgrade the other day. the same way i always do.
but thus time something got soo ****ed.
I come to the three colored screen, and then it stalls. If i connect the USB-cable, it reboots, three colored screen for 2sec, then reboots, over and over again.
any ideas? or should i just dump the phone and get a new one?
I had a similar situation.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402180
i dont get it.. im so stupid.
1)find a program named mtty
2) on activesync, disable USB connections
3) connect your phone via usb
4) run mtty, st usb connections, and rts/cst flow (search for better instructions)
5) once connected, press enter, you should get a prompt
6) type set 16 0, then enter
7) type task 8, then enter
your phone should (well, might) boot into the os.
I have no idea why this works, it just did for me.

Cannot run HardSPL Unlocker on my phone?

I posted this under the HardSPL thread, however nobody has responded for days, so I'm starting a new one.
I have a Verizon TP2 and Windows Vista 32bit. I have successfully connected with WMDC and am in "Connected" status. If I run the unlocker in Auto mode the program crashes back to the desktop. If I run the program in Manual mode, I get to a screen that says my current image version is 1.18.605.12 and can select the Update button. When I do that it says I want to update from 1.18.605.12 to 1.00.OliNex and I click Next. I get the percentage bar window momentarily then a window pops up saying "ERROR [246] : DEVICE IS NOT RESPONDING, click Exit to quit. I've installed the enablerapinew.cab and installed it to device, but still no love.
Any ideas, I've tried disabling AV, rebooting phone, rebooting computer, different activesync modes, etc.
I have the Same issue
same here
Got the same issue tried everything pretty much so far. I PMed cmonex and waiting for respond now .
