Vibration on Connect - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi I have looked through all the forums for my issue but I cannot seem to find my solution. I love the vibration on connect feature but I have not been able to get it to work. I have it checked in the advanced phone settings, and have looked in the registry "HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting\ConnetingVibration" and the value is set to 1, but it still never seems to work for me. I was wondering if someone could help out with that, I would highly appreciate it.
Thanks a lot ,
Mikel

assuming that you have already performed a soft reset in this case, I think you should try to change the registery value back to 0 and then try to "activate" it via the actual menu on the settings option. and do another soft reset.
I hope that helps. otherwise, if all else fails and nothing is helping, a hard reset should solve the problem.
good luck

Vibration on Connect still not working
I tried all those things and still have no luck! Do you have any other ideas?

you even tried the hard reset? That usually clears everything back to factory settings.
If that's the case then it might be the rom that you are using.
At this point, i think you are beyond my scope of knowledge (which isn't much in technical details). Hopefully one of the more experienced members here will provide you a better answer than me.

Vibration on connect
Yes Im using the chrome rom and that could be the issue. If there is anyone who could help me with this that would be greatly appreciated!

which dialer does it use? is it the standard htc dialer that came with your phone? or is it the newer tachi dialer? google or youtube these if you don't know the difference between them. I suspect that you have the newer tachi dialer, which doesn't actually work with vibrate on connect with the fuze . If it's the older dialer (ie on a stock rom) then i would recommend hard resetting to get it back. good luck!
ps make a signature with your rom and radio etc or put it in your question so others know what you're running

TC camara problem

Hi,
I tried to search the forum, I googled around, but I seem to be the only one with this problem:
sometimes (I can't specify it anymore, there is not routine in this problem!) when I open my camera the screen stays black, as if the camara was covered with something (which it isn't, of course!)
I already hard resetted my Crouise, problem was fixed for like 2 weeks, but today, problem turned up again.
Soft reset does not help... any ideas except throwing it at some hard wall?
Edit: Phone is really slow when this problem come up and the only way to leave camera mode is to press the red phone button or do a soft reset
Sounds quite bad, may be a hardware fault...
One hard reset temporarily solved the problem, if you did the hard reset again would it again solve the problem (for a while?). Backup all your files and give it a try.
If not then it may be a hardware problem, in that case I would recommend you send it back to HTC or O2.
If it temporarily solves the problem then it is probably a software issue - I would recommend you try flashing a new ROM, or flash the original ROM.
Just a suggestion...
I did a hard reset again today, backing up my Files via Spite Backup, but after reseting, Camera still isn't working...
Recovering the backuped files didn't help either...
F**k, I really don't want to sent the phone in, because I only have this one, and I sure it's gonna take some weeks to get a replacement...
Is there any way of reinstalling the camera...*hoping for hope*
I have exactly the same problem and i haven't find annything to fix this.
Need some help please
I've got the same problem, I have only find (for my case) some situations...
If you turn on the pda, it works.
if you wait for a while, it works again.
if you wait for some hours, it stop working...
then, if you regular turn off and on the pda, is not secure that it works.
If you soft-reset, it works.
If you keep the pda connected via usb or ac cable, it works everytime (I'm testing it now and it's from this morning that the cam works perfectly).
So I think is a only software problem, exactly I think is apmd error.
Power saving shut down cam device, and when you click camera.exe, the os is not so quickly to return on the device...
I ask to the experts (not me, obviously) if it can be a possibility...
Also can I set, only for cam device, the power saving disabled? So I can test my consideration better?
Thanks

Fuze physical keyboard locks up device

Posted this over at PPCGeeks, but since there is a bigger GSM following over here, thought I might try and see what you guys think.
As the title states, something bizzare happened yesterday and everytime i open the physical keyboard it freezes my device andd i have to soft reset. only thing i can do is use the soft keyboard which defeats the purpose of having this device. i must have hard reset a dozen times and i even loaded the stock ROM again thinking i had a corrupt file system. fuunny thing is before and after hard a hard reset and I load the stock ROM and the device starts it to load the customization bloatwares it hangs on the ozim .cab instal and i am forced to soft reset to get it going. i am baffled. i called at&t and they are mailing me a new Fuze, but in the meantime i would like to to troubleshoot the device and get it working because i have no idea when i will get my new device. i am tempted to load a custom rom but i am convinced its a hardware issue. so any ideas, advice, they are all welcome, and if someone can extract the keyboard driver into a cab maybe i can give that a try. thanks in advance.
Flashed to RSW's 1.5 Fuze ROM and I still have the same issues. Could my system be corrupt, is there something in the registry I might look for?

please help omapclock on htc dash device freezes on start up

ok so i have searched high and low, googled and poured through many various forums and i can't find an answer anywhere so i figured if i was going to ask anyone for help it would be where the issue started.
so my problem? i installed the wm6.1 update by kavana when i got my phone about a month ago and after about 6 hours of tweaking i finnally got it on my phone freaking awsome i thought! i had been using the omapclock prog to underclock my phone to improve battery life much like i had used a similar program on my moto a1200, but i ran into an issue with the playback on a video in core player so i decided to bump up the clock speed to resolve this issue thinking that if it came with the rom then my device would be compatible with the clock speeds allowed by the program, so i set it to 288 and the phone froze, i reboot the phone... same thing. i cant access anything not even the start menu and when i try my s620 crashes, i call t-mobile and ask them for the hard reset i guess i should have figured that it wouldn't work i found another person said to hold the 1 key and then hit 2 that doesn't work either, another says to reflash the phone... i don't see how this is possible if the phone can't load active sync, WTF ? does anyone know how to hard reset or clear the settings?
seriously i can't be the first person to have had this problem, does anyone atleast know how i contact kavana to ask what the hard reset buttons are?
i don't know what kind of device you have but you should be abel to reflash a ROM using the sd card method i know for a fact because i do my own ROMs & that is one thing that save my a*s. be more specific on your device so we could help you out more.. ps: also a hard reset should of done it if you are overclocking because it resets your setting back to the stock on the ROM you have
You have 2 x options bootup phone press nothing plug in usb on computer go Windows\Startup find omap delete it... The second is hard reset to be found in excalibur forum sticky... b.t.w if the first part doesn't make sense a quick search of omap in excalibur forum will give precise instructions...
Good luck.
and btw overclocking is often a risky business and if you puch the clock speed to far, you will fry ur board!!!! USE WITH CAUTION!
to the 1st reply, i did state the device i have it's the s620,
to the second reply, thats the kind of advice that is useful, i'll try it and get back to ya, thanks alot

NoDo Keyboard issues...?

I know this is very long to read but it's a very frustrating problem, hoping someone out there would be willing to help. I've searched a lot on it and haven't been able to find anything similar.
This is my original thread that's since been archived: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1043323.html
I am using a Samsung Focus on AT&T, with the latest NoDo build (7390). The update went fine with no problems but the keyboard is slow to respond now. It seems like if I'm typing faster than a certain speed, it can't keep up and the buttons don't flash and make the click sound with every press, like I've reached some kind of threshold. I've tried turning off/on all the settings for sound on press, auto-correct, etc., and none of it has worked. This includes applying "reset text suggestions" in the keyboard settings menu.
I tried to reset the phone completely via the About > Reset Phone option, but that didn't help. I've also tried to reformat with the Power+Vol Down+Camera button combo but that didn't fix it either. It's happened with and without a memory card in the phone. The phone has plenty of storage space available...more than 50%.
This happens in the Messaging application, any email account, marketplace search, Bing search, etc. Every place I can type, the problem occurs. I downloaded the Text Text Revolution game to test that and it does NOT have the problem. This is an increasingly frustrating problem to deal with. It makes me think I've made mistakes when I really haven't and is very distracting. It's obvious the phone isn't broken or anything since the keyboard does JUST FINE in Text Text Revolution.
I've managed to revert my phone back to 7004 and 7008, using the stock AT&T Focus ROMs available over in the Samsung threads here. Those builds DO NOT have the problem and the keyboard works great. It works fine whether the phone is locked (stock) or dev unlocked (ChevronWP7). The problem only occurs after I upgrade to NoDo. Has anyone else noticed this problem when moving to 7390, AT&T or any other carrier? From all the work I've done it seems to be directly related to AT&T's NoDo update but I haven't been able to confirm this with anyone else yet. It can't be a problem with the phone since it works fine on pre-NoDo. Anyone willing to try and help me out?

Cant access SMS message section

Hey guys, I have trouble going into the message screen on my touch pro. Every other part of the phone works fine. But if I touch the screen to access the message section, it wont respond. Or if I touch the all messages area of the screen, it will light up but the screen wont switch over. pretty much every other part of the phone works except accessing the message/sms part. i still can receive incoming texts but i have no way of replying it!
I have tried soft reset and it would not help either.
This problem appeared out of nowhere.
my touch pro is unlocked, ROM version is 5.05.401.1 WWE, using windows mobile 6.1
From your report, it sounds like something in the software is crashing. I had something similar and the only way I could figure was to re-flash it (involves losing everything loaded on your phone, without a backup) with the ROM I wanted. There may be another way but for the lack of experience with a stock ROM and your specific situation, it is difficult to help you troubleshoot.
should I go for a hard reset?
or should I reinstall a new ROM? if this is the case, can you kindly tell me how to do it?
all my contacts are saved on my sim card so im not too worried about losing those infos.
I suppose it wouldn't hurt anything to try the hard reset first. Also, if there was anything added/installed and wasn't a part of the stock ROM, it is likely you will lose it such as programs, games, etc. Let me know if you'd like to try your hand at flashing a custom ROM, if the hard reset doesn't work.
If you aren't comfortable with either of these, it might help to give it a few days to see if anyone else chimes in...
