ScummVM and the Fuze - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hey guys,
I'm having an issue with ScummVM and was hoping somebody around here is having the same issue.
The application loads and runs fine (I have the latest version - 0.13.1 ... Windows CE ARM package).
The issue is that none of the games that I have loaded onto my SD card appear in the games list when I browse for them.
I installed Scumm to my main memory and have the game files loaded onto the microSD card.
The interesting thing is that I installed Scumm on my computer and can load and play the game files just fine, however the mobile version doesn't seem to like it very much.
Has anybody else had this issue with the Fuze?

I've been able to play the monkey island series with only minor probs.

I found that i could not open games unless i was using the correct scummvm.exe. Once i unzipped the scummvm download i had a scummvm1 and scummvm2 app.
For example monkey island will not show in the games list unless i use scummvm1.

wow, i could have sworn that i ran scummvm1
thanks!

ok, interesting issue now
i ran and played monkeyisland1 a few times with scummvm1....and now every time i attempt to run scummvm my screen goes black and it crashes
*edit*
on further investigation it seems that changing the graphics mode is the issue
it runs fine directly after i change it, but when i attempt to re-run scummvm later on it will crash on startup (unless if gfx_mode is default)
any thoughts?

Help with FpseCE

I cant seem to get this thing to work. I run WM 6.1 on an HTC Mogul. I have scph1001.bin in the bios folder and the program loads like it should and I can select options, config the contols and memory cards and such. I have Final Fantasy 7 discs 1, 2, and 3 as .bin with a .cue and the program recognizes them when I go to load and iso but when I select disc 1 the on screen controller comes up but the game doesnt load. I even let it sit there for a minute and FpseCE just closes. what am I doing wrong? Those same files work just fine on my Desktop PC using ePSXe emulator. please help!
emulators are rarely 100% compatible with all games if I were you I would check out their website for compatible games list or maybe in their forum
ok... so it actually worked... once. I was checking to make sure the bios was loaded and for some reason when I chose the bios it took me back to the main menu unlike everytime before and since it just shuts the program off. the one time it actually stayed on after choosing the bios is the one time I got FF7 to play and it played wonderfully. anyone know whats going on with it now?

Trying to get PSX4DROID to work on Gtablet

I have installed PSX4Droid 1.7 , 2.0 , and 3.0 (the new free one) ... and none of them will work... When I use 1.7 and 2.0 and try to load Harvest moon they don't do anything, and when I use 3.0 it loads and then crashes and says "PSX 4 driud gas crashed... please click here to help fix the issue"
I have the scph1001.bin for the BIOS but I just dont know whats wrong, I have only tried it with Harvest Moon which is a eboot (eboot.pbp and keys.bin files) I have not tried any other games as I am in the process of putting them on the tablet now.
Has anyone had these issues or is it specific to this game?
I could never get it to work. I use fpse instead which works great.
I just tried Crash Bandicoot and it is also not working
What version of FPSE are you using? I am trying with FPSE , and when I load the keys.bin file it just says "FPSE has exited, try using bios, press menu, system, load bios file, save and retry"
But I have loaded the bios file ... ?
Can't remember although I've had no problems with several versions. Make sure after you load a BIOS you save that as your default configuration in the system menu. Turn off HLE in the system menu too. Also fpse cannot run eboot files. All of my ROMs are either bin or cdi and they work fine.
Thanks, Does anyone else have any tips??
I'm currently copying over FF7 (actual ROM, not eBOOT) to see if that will work...

One more thing. The G-Tablet's multi-touch can be a little finicky when touching two points on the same plane (same position in respect to the y-axis) so I highly suggest setting the d-pad to the middle left of the screen and keeping the other buttons on the bottom right of the screen.

Re-installing a Gameloft Game - how to save my savegame

So I started playing Eternal Legacy and keep having an issue where the game freezes towards the end of a battle in the area by the mines. Sometimes I can get through 1 battle only to have it freeze after another. Anyone have this issue?
Gameloft sent me a link to redownload and re-install the game and said to delete the old one. But does anyone know how to save my savegame files so I don't have to start the game all over again? I searched the GloftELHD folder but didn't find any files that looked like a save game.
Most gameloft games store their saved games on memory card e.g. Asphalt 6 (profile.sav) and modern combat 2 (save.bin), and some save it in phone memory as application data (Dungeon Hunter 2)
If you can't find any save game file in Eternal Legacy folder, try saving the application data by Titanium Backup

Of course there is nothing in that folder even remotely called "save" so thats out. Titanium backup works without Root? My device is stock.

No backup currently gives back up app-data without root. You might be able to copy the data out with ADB if you can isolate what file it is, even without root.

Yeah copying the file out isn't a big deal I can do it through windows explorer. The problem is there is no way to identify which file it is. I would just backup the whole thing but that would defeat the purpose of re-installing the game then. I'm not even convinced re-installing the game will fix my freezing problem.

Have you tried GameLoft Support? Asking on the forum where the save-game data is for that particular game? If it is on the phone itself, gotta get it with ADB, if it is on the SD-card, then you can copy off SD-card to another spot.... If you can't find that info, then I don't know what to tell you. I have that game but haven't started it yet (got it as a freebie 2-for-1 deal). So I wouldn't mind knowing too. I honestly wish they published at least a little bit of detail on this stuff, but they are used to supporting iOS devices, where normal users can't get into this nitty-gritty stuff to poke at it.

I actually have tried Gameloft Support themselves, and the guy from Gameloft basically told me he didn't know either.
I'm not sure but you can try follow steps, i think you can get back saved data after uninstalling game:
1. Plug you device with USB cable and open the "Removable disc F (or N or G,J the name could vary)" then open "Gameloft" folder.
2. You will see the "games" folder.
3. Pick up the game you need.
4. Then you will see the whole game data.

The other games do have a savegame file, but this one nothing is marked savegame.
That said not even sure I'm gonna re-install just yet so this may all be moot, just swapped in a Sandisk Class 4 32 gb card and now everything seems to be working better.

Hmmm.. So may just have been a hardware glitch with read-times or such odd? One can only hope as much. It is a shame that GameLoft's support isn't better. Considering that their games (even if often buggy) are generally some of the better ones out there (even if generally ripped from other popular games on other platforms).

I think it may be, I played for about an hour last night and no problems (plus the class 4 Sandisk runs WAY smoother than the 16gb Class 2 card I had). I almost laughed when I got that email, it seems like such a simple question but the fact he straight out told me "I don't know", I've never gotten something like that from tech support before. Another thing I did was reduce my max text messages per thread to 50 and delete a lot of old stuff (probably about 1000+ texts), that has helped with the phone's sluggishness, and I would bet helped the game as well. I would assume Android prioritizes that task and so it can affect other apps.
I've found that their games are a mixed bag. Eternal Legacy is stunning, graphics are unbelievable for a phone, everything works well, but then I get these freeze ups, and worse if you pause the game to answer a call or check an email/text message, it shuts down! MC2 is really stunning as well, but 50% of the time if you go into the control menu the game force closes, and we have had 1000 threads on the targeting with the right stick. Assassins Creed has decent graphics, great controls and play style, but TONS of graphical glitches, and a pretty cheesy story that completely ignores a huge plot point of the Assassins Creed games aside from a passing reference to animus and memories in the menus.
help me about this too?
that's help me too and work thank you for all ^_^

Game Launcher & Game Tools files

I've done some messing around with game launcher and game tools as a result of these issues, and I seem to have made the issue worse. While game tools was originally refusing to minimize games, it now won't open at all. It has something to do with the way I have it installed on the phone and game launcher or my games apps "call" it.
What I need is for someone who is rooted and hasn't made any changes to game tools or launcher to share with me exactly where they are located on the phone. I don't know if one, or both, or neither is supposed to be a system app, for example, and switching back and forth while troubleshooting is a major pain. In addition, if it turns out that I do have them located correctly, then there must be something in a config or prefs file that is causing game tools to fail to load, in which case, copies of the game's files would be much appreciated. Then I can just paste them in, in place of my own, and they might get it working again.
Thanks.
Got the same problem.
