What are you using as a Home Page in your mobile browser - General Topics

I'm looking for the best portal to start in my browser - myself, I'm using igoogle for mobile as its lite weight, gives me feeds such as weather (which update sporadically) and my gmail.
What are you using?

hi,
personnally, I've a live adress, so I use mobile msn.
Maybe you can use it with your gmail adress too, if not, try igoogle mobile: he must fit:

I have a different one for each browser
IGoogle on PIE, and iPhone facebook page on Iris.

Synching favourites and bookmarks

Hi, I'm currently using an XDAII with WM5, browsing with Firefox 2.0 and using Activesync 4.2
What I'd like to know is how I can bookmark sites in Firefox, then sync those favourites onto my XDA. Activesync only works with IE favourites and, well, I hate using IE.
I'm probably not the only person using Firefox and WM5 Does anyone have any suggestions about how I could go about automatically updating my XDA favourites with Firefox?
i'm interested to know also if there is a plug in for activesyc
I am also interested in an automatic solution.
I exported Firefox bookmarks to IE via html but ActiveSync doesn't sync subfolders!
Had to copy favorites manually...
Any hints?
Thanks,
Eggert

Best/Fastest Basic HTML Browser?

On the Treo 700p you can use Blazer to witch from bolie HTML view to Basic HTML vies (and actually scroll around a normal webpage). This is critical for example if you want to download attachments with Gmail or Hotmail via your web browser (attachment download is disabled in mobile HTML view).
I can't get this Basic HTML view to work with IE Mobile - am I missing something?
Is there a better web browser out there for the Treo 700w/wx/750 that does Basic HTML and Tabs, and can even stream media like mp3's and internet radio streams from sites like somafm? If not I might just stick with my p
One thing I noticed BTW is that IE Mobile is up to twice as fast as Blazer according to dslreports.com/mspeed but too bad it's not as easy to use.
Opera Mobile 8.6.xx is probably the closest thing to what you are looking for. If you go now, there should be a beta version that you can get for free and the beta supports flash.

forced mobile view, yahoo mail issue...

I'm getting forced to log in and look at my yahoo mail in mobile view.
I have the mobile view off and click on the desktop view on the main yahoo page.
I tried about:debug and selected desktop view
then I thought maybe it's a stock browser issue so I tried Dolphin HD browser and same thing... main page loads fine in desktop but soon as I try logging in to mail, forced mobile view.
any fix for this?
I hate mobile view, especially Yahoo mail.
thanks.
Use the yahoo mail app. Much better..
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
I have the app.
just wanted to see if there was a way to force the phone to log into mail in desktop view in the browser.
I don't understand why it won't... it renders fine in desktop view on MT4G...

[Q] Syncing between Opera Mobile and Firefox Desktop

I use Opera Mobile on my Touch HD and Firefox on my desktop and I want them to be constantly synced (bookmarks, history). Does anyone know of a way to do so?
I've already searched the forum but found nothing automated :/
I think only by manual.
Good luck.
OK thank's. Now I'm using Firefox Desktop + Xmarks + Chrome, and it works like a charm

[Q] Remembering Login Information in Internet Explorer

I'm tryng to get the Username to be remembered on internet sites that require log in. Is there a toggle for it in the settings?
Thanks
Hi
I've checked every corner and did not find what you're looking for. However there are alternatives to the stock Internet Explorer.
UC Browser is one such browser and has a few more features added compared to IE, it also has password and form auto-complete.
Cheers,
My webmail saves my username, but my bank doesn't.
It may have something to do with each login page's setup.

Every site I visit has the same behavior as PC Browser. Facebook, Hotmail, Google never ask me to inform password again. Can't understand exactly what you want.
Is it a Chrome/Firefox behavior your expected?
