[Q] Syncing between Opera Mobile and Firefox Desktop - General Questions and Answers

I use Opera Mobile on my Touch HD and Firefox on my desktop and I want them to be constantly synced (bookmarks, history). Does anyone know of a way to do so?
I've already searched the forum but found nothing automated :/

I think only by manual.
Good luck.

OK thank's. Now I'm using Firefox Desktop + Xmarks + Chrome, and it works like a charm

Synching favourites and bookmarks

Hi, I'm currently using an XDAII with WM5, browsing with Firefox 2.0 and using Activesync 4.2
What I'd like to know is how I can bookmark sites in Firefox, then sync those favourites onto my XDA. Activesync only works with IE favourites and, well, I hate using IE.
I'm probably not the only person using Firefox and WM5 Does anyone have any suggestions about how I could go about automatically updating my XDA favourites with Firefox?
i'm interested to know also if there is a plug in for activesyc
I am also interested in an automatic solution.
I exported Firefox bookmarks to IE via html but ActiveSync doesn't sync subfolders!
Had to copy favorites manually...
Any hints?
Thanks,
Eggert

PC firefox shortcuts/bookmarks to mobile opera?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible somehow to synchronize my bookmarks from Firefox to Opera in my TD2? I have pretty much bookmarks and do not want to type each adress into my phone. If somebody knows better way I would be thankful.
Try:
Searched for Bookmarks to Opera
Searched for Favorites to Opera
But for me I use Import IE Mobile Favs to opera this way the bookmarks are synced with your PC via activesync, then run the program on the TD2 to transfer them across from PIE to Opera mobile
Note: It won't do folders in folders and I had problems trying to transfer lots (hundreds) of bookmarks.
For you you'd have to export/import them from Firefox first, which is what I had to do, but I use Opera desktop (I'm aware of the irony of having to transfer bookmarks from Opera desktop to IE then to PIE then Opera mobile, but I couldn't get the opera.adr file to transfer (& work) and until Opera get Opera link working on Opera mobile (they've got it on Mini) I'll have to use this crazy way around!!!)

bookmarks sync with xmarks (formerly foxmarks)

I was wondering if anyone is able to write a little program (cab), that can synchronize xmarks (formerly foxmarks) with Opera bookmarks. I dropped a request at xmarks to release a windows mobile client, but waiting for that, it should be possible to parse the output from mobile.xmarks.com (as suggested here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563629) and forcefully feed this to Opera
is this just a crazy idea or is it possible? anyone who can do it?

Opera Mini 5 (native) Bookmark Import

Hi all,
does anybody know a smart way how to import bookmarks from Opera Mobile or IE mobile to the recent Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 running without JVM?
I don't want to install Opera on my desktop sync. Anyways I couldn't find an Opera Sync Button in my Opera Mini. I thought there might be an option editing some user files (like the Firefox's bookmark.htm).
Does anybody know where Opera Mini stores its user profiles?
Best regards
Andreas

Simplest way to import bookmarks from WM Opera 10?

Just got my Captivate and I'm busy getting it all tweaked. I'm coming from an HTC HD2, and I have a bunch of bookmarks in Opera 10 I'd like to import to Android.
I've tried using Opera Link in Opera Mini to get the bookmarks onto the device. I also used Opera Link to import the bookmarks from the HD2 to the desktop version of Opera... hoping I could import them into Chrome and then somehow sync to Captivate mobile browser (Chrome Mobile?)
Nothing seems to have worked so far. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
