I was wondering if anyone is able to write a little program (cab), that can synchronize xmarks (formerly foxmarks) with Opera bookmarks. I dropped a request at xmarks to release a windows mobile client, but waiting for that, it should be possible to parse the output from mobile.xmarks.com (as suggested here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563629) and forcefully feed this to Opera
is this just a crazy idea or is it possible? anyone who can do it?

Hi, I'm currently using an XDAII with WM5, browsing with Firefox 2.0 and using Activesync 4.2
What I'd like to know is how I can bookmark sites in Firefox, then sync those favourites onto my XDA. Activesync only works with IE favourites and, well, I hate using IE.
I'm probably not the only person using Firefox and WM5 Does anyone have any suggestions about how I could go about automatically updating my XDA favourites with Firefox?
i'm interested to know also if there is a plug in for activesyc
I am also interested in an automatic solution.
I exported Firefox bookmarks to IE via html but ActiveSync doesn't sync subfolders!
Had to copy favorites manually...
Any hints?
Thanks,
Eggert
such a thing doesnt seem to exist. Surely such an app would be pretty popular?
Searched the web for this also but not luck yet The inbuilt chat on facebook doesn't work on Opera Mini 4.1 on my vox - in fact if i leave it on it displays a bar that just blocks other things.
I read that facebook is looking to make their chat jabber friendly (whatever that is) but i do believe that will allow most multi client IM programs to use facebook chat.

Jabber is like AIM or Windows Live. Google Chat is Jabber, for example.
Oh thats good news then. So when it is jabber compliant i can see most free IM clients for PPC and Smartphone will add facebook support. good news!
I to have been in search of this. hope thet get it sorted soon. palringo was said to work but to no avail

Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible somehow to synchronize my bookmarks from Firefox to Opera in my TD2? I have pretty much bookmarks and do not want to type each adress into my phone. If somebody knows better way I would be thankful.
Try:
Searched for Bookmarks to Opera
Searched for Favorites to Opera
But for me I use Import IE Mobile Favs to opera this way the bookmarks are synced with your PC via activesync, then run the program on the TD2 to transfer them across from PIE to Opera mobile
Note: It won't do folders in folders and I had problems trying to transfer lots (hundreds) of bookmarks.
For you you'd have to export/import them from Firefox first, which is what I had to do, but I use Opera desktop (I'm aware of the irony of having to transfer bookmarks from Opera desktop to IE then to PIE then Opera mobile, but I couldn't get the opera.adr file to transfer (& work) and until Opera get Opera link working on Opera mobile (they've got it on Mini) I'll have to use this crazy way around!!!)
I have searched and searched, but I cannot find a good alternative program to windows mobile's Outlook Email Client. For texting I am currently using SMS-Chat by Vito, and I was hoping there was a similar program somewhere out there that I could use for my email, but I can't find any email programs. Does anybody know of any that they can recommend. I hate the Outlook program, it runs so slow and takes forever to open and close.

Flexmail is imho, among the best ones. The downside is that it isn't free. Good luck!
I use Opera Mobile on my Touch HD and Firefox on my desktop and I want them to be constantly synced (bookmarks, history). Does anyone know of a way to do so?
I've already searched the forum but found nothing automated :/
I think only by manual.
Good luck.
OK thank's. Now I'm using Firefox Desktop + Xmarks + Chrome, and it works like a charm
