Problem loading Video Files onto HTC Diamond - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys,
I just got my Diamond (P3700) not to long ago and now I'm trying to load video file via ActiveSync. The problem is when the transfer begins it will get like half way then reset and start over again. It won't load the video onto my PPC. Everything else seems to work fine. Has anyone had a problem like this before? Any help would be much appreciated thanks

No problem, self sorted but thanks anyways.

MP3 playback problem

Hi folks,
I have a problem with my VOX phone on MP3 playback. The problem is, when I'm listen to my MP3 musics, sometimes the playback go faster and the sound get thinny (like fast forward sounds). This occurs even using Windows Media Player or Audio Manager.
I tried to STOP and PLAY again the sound, but the problem persist. So the only way to temporarily resolve this is to restart the phone.
Some informations about my phone:
ROM: Last Martin Gonzo WM6.1
Music is played from: Storage Card
Music Player: Windows Media and Audio Manager
Other Installed Apps: Google Maps
I observed also that an VOX with official ROM has the same problem!
Can you guys please help me?
Anyone???
I doubt I'm the only one that have this problem... PLEASE HELP!
Up again... problem persists.
I've had this problem with different ROMs and audio players, the only solution I found is a soft reset. Rebooting the device solves the problem
By the way, I think it affects all sounds - e.g. ringtones or incoming message alarms. Not sure why this occurs though
I have never had this issue with ANY ROM, and I have used the majority of pre-cooked and official ones. I have also use WMP, HTC Audio Manager and now I use Pocket Tunes.
Do you use Voice Command? Disable it and see if it still happens.
ive had the same problem

Click to collapse
i second that. no issues here either ....... ever. lucky me
I've had this problem in the past on my Wizard and it has recently started happening on my Vox. I don't remember the particulars on the Wizard, but it satarted happening on the Vox after I first upgraded to a custom ROM. Not sure if that is a common factor, but it's very annoying....
I experimented a little this morning, so I'll pass on some info for what it's worth.
Previously on the Vox, I had one of Dr. Gonzo's ROMs loaded. I loaded the fireburned ROM this morning, just to see if the ROM was causing this problem, and the problem still occurred after the new ROM.
The other thing I had done that I suspected was related to the problem was recently replace the battery. I went back to my old battery -- same problem.
SO....I think it's safe to say I've eliminated those two possibilities. What else, I wonder....?
I'll try removing the SD card for a while -- that's about all I can do now

audio manager problem

hello all...ive got a problem and im hoping sum1 can tell me how to resolve this...whenever i go to the audio manager tab in tf3d i get a message that says "an error has occurred with audio manager eng.exe"...then, after i close therror message nothing will play or select ina audio manager...i can still slide to other tabs so its not making my phone freeze up but its still a pain n the butt...also, i had the same problem on my touch pro1 and im still having it on my touch pro 2...the weird thing is that i didnt have ne problem playing songs on my XV6800 (they are all verizon)...please help!!!
I'll give you the same advice I give my dad when he has this type of issue...
What software do you have installed?
What software did you install before this issue poped up?
Just try uninstalling it one at a time until the function you have lost works again... then complain to the manufacturer...
If you have not installed any software... it gets trickier...
it happens regardless of whether i have any programs installed...ive tried it str8 out of the box n it still does it...the only thing that i cant think of is maybe im puttin them n the wrong folder on my memory card...ive tried \storage card...\storage card\my documents...\storage card\my music...\storage card\my ringtones....they are mp3 files so idk y they keep causing the audio manager to crash...can u tell me where u keep ur mp3s at and maybe that will help me...maybe this will help too (when i take my memory card out n do a hard reset the songs that come stock on the phone work fine, but when i put the memory card back in NOTHING will work without crashing the audio manager)...ive even tried calling HTC and they couldnt figure it out...and i know its not just this phone bc i had like 4 original touch pros and they all did it and now my TP2 is doing it too what folder does every1 else put their songs in?
well darn, still no useful replies...im sure someone else has had this problem in the past...if so, please take 2 minutes to help...thanks again
Just got mine today, (upgraded from 8525) and STOCK rom has the same error. I installed my SD card and when it tried to load the music, the error occurred. I'm thinking it could be data on the card itself. I'll try wiping it and starting again...

[Q] Windows Mobile 6 picture & video issue

Hi,
I have a stock, unbranded, x7501. Yesterday, I did my first hard reset since I started using the device (I did one right after I bought it) and now something is wonkity.
When looking at images in the explorer, the images are in 1,2,3,4,5,6, etc order. However, when I try to view them in the pictures and video program(stock), I get a random jumping order, almost as if it was in shuffle. The image files worked before I did the hard reset, and I have never had this problem on my other WinMo 6 phone.
I did another hard reset and the problem persists. Any advice? It's not debilitating, but I'm sure it points to a deeper issue...
I'm thinking it may be caused by the programs that auto-install during the setup, but as i don't have a way to kill it, I'm not sure I can do much about it. It didnt caus the problem the first time either.

[Q] HP Ipaq 214 Software Issues

Hello, I am having issues with my ipaq 214. I am not techy so really need some help. I have had the device since 2007 and it has been great. I really like it becos I still have Pocket Esword on it as it runs on WinMo 6.The problem I have now is anytime I download the Pocket Esword on the device it works for a while then it stops responding and when you do a soft reset it goes to a hard reset and the application can't be found again. I have done this over and over again for the past month.
Someone advised getting a flash rom. Can someone help PLEASE !!!!!!!
I really need to have this resolved so that I can still use Pocket Esword and open my documents and use the media player.

[Completed] [Q] Unlocked One M8: Corrupted media files after factory reset.

Hello everyone,
Recently my one m8 seemed to no longer recognize my headphones, I tried to get around the problem, but to no avail. So I decided to do a factory a reset, unfortunately now I'm faced with the frustrating problem that ALL media files on the SD card (which I thought won't be effected!) are corrupt! Photos, videos, everything! They're there, with the size and all, but they simply don't display. I ran to the computer, hooked the phone to it, but same thing, they're there, occupying the space, but not working, I noticed also that all the videos are showing (00:00:00) length, no minutes no hours, however the sizess are displayed, 33mb 40mb etc.
I have never custom "ROM"ed it or rooted it before.
If there is any solution to this, please do tell, I'll be eternally grateful!
Thanks in advance.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Which variant of the M8 do you have please?
