MP3 playback problem - HTC Vox

Hi folks,
I have a problem with my VOX phone on MP3 playback. The problem is, when I'm listen to my MP3 musics, sometimes the playback go faster and the sound get thinny (like fast forward sounds). This occurs even using Windows Media Player or Audio Manager.
I tried to STOP and PLAY again the sound, but the problem persist. So the only way to temporarily resolve this is to restart the phone.
Some informations about my phone:
ROM: Last Martin Gonzo WM6.1
Music is played from: Storage Card
Music Player: Windows Media and Audio Manager
Other Installed Apps: Google Maps
I observed also that an VOX with official ROM has the same problem!
Can you guys please help me?

Anyone???
I doubt I'm the only one that have this problem... PLEASE HELP!

Up again... problem persists.

I've had this problem with different ROMs and audio players, the only solution I found is a soft reset. Rebooting the device solves the problem
By the way, I think it affects all sounds - e.g. ringtones or incoming message alarms. Not sure why this occurs though

I have never had this issue with ANY ROM, and I have used the majority of pre-cooked and official ones. I have also use WMP, HTC Audio Manager and now I use Pocket Tunes.
Do you use Voice Command? Disable it and see if it still happens.

ive had the same problem
hi ive had my diamond for a week and have experienced the same problem

i second that. no issues here either ....... ever. lucky me

I've had this problem in the past on my Wizard and it has recently started happening on my Vox. I don't remember the particulars on the Wizard, but it satarted happening on the Vox after I first upgraded to a custom ROM. Not sure if that is a common factor, but it's very annoying....

I experimented a little this morning, so I'll pass on some info for what it's worth.
Previously on the Vox, I had one of Dr. Gonzo's ROMs loaded. I loaded the fireburned ROM this morning, just to see if the ROM was causing this problem, and the problem still occurred after the new ROM.
The other thing I had done that I suspected was related to the problem was recently replace the battery. I went back to my old battery -- same problem.
SO....I think it's safe to say I've eliminated those two possibilities. What else, I wonder....?
I'll try removing the SD card for a while -- that's about all I can do now

No Sound

Hi, I've got an Imate Jamin (win 6.1) that was working fine till a couple of days ago. It would freeze once in a while when I sent out balance check SMS but it was ok otherwise. Now thought, the call alert sounds are gone, it only vibrates. Windows Media player runs the files but I get no sound at all. The voice clarity during call is good, its as per usual but I can't even get screen tap sounds out of it otherwise.
Anyone else with the same problem? And can anyone help me out? I thought maybe it was all the soft resets from after the freezes that corrupted the windows or something like that but flashing the PDA with another ROM hasn't helped.
And back to to original rom doesn't solve it? I had the same thing with my magician and solved it by flash back to the original rom.
I googled the problem and found out it was a common problem with their model, its the hardware messing up. My set was under warranty so I had it fixed. Now I got other problems...

HTC P3600 (Trinity) Blocking while working

Dears,
I have been using my HTC P3600 Trinity for 2 years, last 1.5 years, I am using with ROM: 31XiTNY-STD.
I was not happy of the memory and decided to use another ROM and problems started.
After flashing different ROMs such as 31XiTNY-SXY, FInixNOver v3.7.2 - M2D, allmost all, etc. everyting go well at the beginning and suddenly (eg: changing some contact info, or adding picture to a contact or afrte new software) it bloked itself. Even soft reset can not be a solution, it stay at the first screen (I can not see windows again). The only solution that I found is flashing a new ROM but after few program installation it happens again and again.
Can it be a hardware problem or have you faced such a problem before,
Please help, I do not want to use my Nokia 6310i again
If it can be a hardware problem, any idea about repairment.
Best regards from Istanbul.

Samsung sgh-i780 stuck on vibrate mode

Hello,
In the last few months, I have experienced a strange problem:
Sometimes, when I turn off the ringer and use on vibration, the phone seems to stuck on this mode even if I turn the ringer back on. I cannot play any kind of sound until I restart my phone. To solve this problem once and for all, I have performed hard reset, however the problem persists.
I miss very important calls as a result of this problem, is there a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
I remember a friend having this issue. I seem to remember the solution.
explore to application data/volatile and delete all files within folder and soft reset.
If you don't feel safe about it first copy or move all files to a new folder on your sdcard before deleting.
hope it helps.
good day.
I saw this solution in another forum and it did not work. Besides, I had performed a hard reset so all my phone memory was deleted, however the problem returned.
Maybe the problem is on the SD card or something.
What type of results do you get plugging the head phone adapter in and out? But only when the lack of sound occurs.
And any suspect software installs recently?
good day.
I need to wait until the problem reoccures to check with the headphones.
The softwares installed on my device are:
Opera mobile
Opera mini
SPB Time
SPB Mobile
S2U2 (I have unistalled it for now to check if it has something to do with my problem)
* I think the problem began after I had restored my phone using SPB backup a few months ago, however I am not sure 100%
Thanks again

[Q] mp3 decoding not working

Hi,
Just got the info from my children that mp3 decoding on their phones is not working (music player hangs).
Both have a Galaxy 3 updated with standard Android 2.2 (subversion is slightly different bcause of different phone customzations by the phone provider).
I tried different music players (stock, google music, winamp) but all causes the same effect: phone starts vibrating and the app crashes...
Of course, no troubles with any other media (video, youtube...).
Given all music apps are impacted, I suspect a problem in a system library.
I've searched in the forums, but found no mentions about my problem (strange, it is on two phones, so should be pretty common).
I'd like to stay with the stock rom, so I'd prefer either installing an app self contained (not using sytem libraries for decoding), or somehow fixing the system libraries w/o having to install a new rom.
I'd like to know if I'm the only one in this position, and if you have suggestions for a fix.
Thanks
You must do a hard reset of your phone.
Just type in *2767*3855# and your phone will restart.
Keep in mind that you will lose your data on your phone like: unsaved phone numbers, installed apps, mp3 (all are in your phone internal memory witch will get erased), those stored on you micro sd flash will not suffer any changes, so save your apps(or download them again), mp3,photos on your micro sd.
If this helps you please give me a thanks.
Hard reset done on one of the two phones, but problem is still there: mp3 player crashes (I've not yet re-installed 3rd party players, but bug is exactly the same as before the reset: mp3 starts playing few seconds, then phone vibrates and music hangs).
Rom on the two phones is JP4.
Also to note an other strange behavior: the phone shows a warning message when launching apps accessing the network (market, browser) to ask to activate mobile data connection... even when the phone is connected through wifi. This was not the case before the froyo update.
I'm not finding all this much normal...
Any further suggestion (I understand last resource is anyway installing Kyrillos rom)?
Thanks

I see. There is something you could do, and that is flashing the Rom again. Use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063940 to get the latest rom and flashing tools and here is the flashing tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778880, i can bet that this will fix your problem. Or you can go to a local samsung service for repair, you do have warranty?

Thanks!
On other forums I found the problem is not uncommon.
Songbird is not exceptional, but does not use the buggy system library and works like a charm.
I've removed the stock app icon just to avoid running it accidentally...
It's a pity not being able to share songs with google music (app is using the buggy lib)
may b sumthin wrong wid sd. backup ur sd data & format it.. via phone.. then restore backed uo data.. & then try if they give fcs anymore.. :/
