Okay so the other day i was searching for any new updates for my wildfire and apparently there was one (not firmware update just software) i wasn't sure wat the software number was.... but there was an update.
But after i completed the update i realize my wifi was unable to start. (meaning every time i try to turn it on it gives me a message saying it wont turn on) so i called htc tech support and they were no help at all (wasted 30 of my minutes)
after that i decided to factory reset my phone but still no hope. so does anyone know what i can do?? root? but how will it help me if i root my phone?? also i cant go on the market cuz there's no wifi so i cannot download astro or any file manager to help me install the root applications.
any suggestions? cuz right now i cant even retrieve my contacts or anything...
thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Exactly the same problem here
Hey mate,
Have you had any luck with above, I have exactly the same problem and after contacting HTC they said it is a Hardware problem send it back for repairs. How could that be it was all working fine before the Firmware update ah!!

Sorry i haven't, i have 3 questions for the same thing on hear for a couple of weeks and no reply so think this site is a dead end.... did search but lost interest into 10 recommendation but get feeling a Chinese Android site may be best bet.... if get anything will let you know as have all my requests booked marked.
Forgot to ask what did you need a backup for? can use ROM manager after rooting if just want a backup.
I really need some serious help, My phone battery died earlier on today and after I charged it again Android would not decrypt my phone as it says my password is incorrect.
I know for a fact that it is the correct password as I had saved it in my Password manager and have used it many times before.
I found Frost(Forensic Recovery Of Scrambled Telephones) and have seen that there is an option to decrypt the phone. But I really need some help to get it working on a HTC one.
I really need some data of my phone, and cannot factory reset it yet.
Frost can be found here: https://www1.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/frost
But I can only see a Galaxy Nexus version. Has anybody got a version I can use for the HTC one so I could possibly recover some of the most important files?
I really need help on this one guys....
(edit)
The source code is available for it.
I forgot to mention I can't compile it because I have no expiriance in Kernal compilation ;(
I have already posted this in the HTC one section but this is a real emergency Any help is welcome guys

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist.
Do you have those bugs with Google apps only? If so, try removing your Gmail account then put it back.
!!...solved myself...!!
Hi friend,
Somany suggested something..
But nothing worked for me..
Then me tried to find out why the Google
can't solve our little problem...
I solved the problems by just
reinstalling Google acc manager
by sending from another android phone S3....
I copied it from
.... device memory--system--priv-app--
Thanks for me....
Hello, I was wondering if there is a possible way to recover a deleted contact that was only deleted last night. I have a Samsung Galaxy On5 v6.0.1 and I've been trying to figure out a way to do so without rooting my phone as I hear it wipes the phone. Any help is very much appreciated
- Good on you,
Sir Pigeon
Hi !
Try to find on Google this app Android Data Recovery
You can also check this thread out https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143188
Basically if your phone has been logged onto an account and if the sync has been enabled then the contacts should have been saved into your account
Good luck !

Ahh Ok, Sadly the sync was dated before the deletion. I tried all I could, but it doesn't seem like I have any clear way to recover the contact. I very much appreciate the help still.
