Activesync 4.1 connection drops halfway during sync

Hi,
Using activesync 4.1 on a WM2005 device and encountered problems during sync. My laptop is able to sync halfway through but the process drops out halfway and activesync shows disconnected even though the device shows it is connect to Activesync.
Had no problems when syncing with another desktop computer, so it seems something is blocking on my laptop.
I am using vpn clients and have tried uninstalling them and it still does not work.
Any one has a resolution to this as it is quite frustrating.

I would try
Backup all the important data
uninstall (and clean all the directory on the PC where it was installed)
Re-install it.

Cant establish connection with Activesync

this is my 3rd PPC and i am completely desperate about his problem which i never had before. i can not connect my JAMin trough USB or Bluetooth or Infrared, my activesync turns green but after 2 minutes trying to connect it says that can not get connected, also i have tried on my laptop and i get something else when i cradle with infrared or USB my windows crashed while sync. i have no Idea thought it is because of my Antivirus and AntiHackers i have installed on both computers but i get the same error even if i disable them, I have tried activesyc 4.1 and also 4.2 but same result again,
Any Idea????

i have Uninstalled my Antihacker firewall and it did worked perfectly,

just close any firewall
and try again
it did work with me

I can't ActiveSync with my PC & Laptop. The computer re-starts everytime I connect my JamIn.
I used USB cable & bluetooth to Sync, I got same issue of re-starting with both.

Desktop PC crushes & restarts whin Sync

Hi there,
I can't ActiveSync with my desktop, it starts looking for network, then active sync starts. A message comes saying "retrieving..."
& then shutdowns my computer.
Any body had this experience & knows how to resolve it?

IT IS BECAUSE UR USB DRIVERS CRUSHES OR SAY IT HANGS
FOR THIS U MUST REINSTALL UR OPERATING SYSTEM EX.WIN98,WINXP ETC
IT WILL SOLVE 100%

Active Sync: connected but device not detected

Hi evryone,
I have these days a curious problem with Active Sync (that worked very well before with: Active Sync 4.5, Asus P525 WM6.5):
The usb connection work fine: the phone is charged, the storage card is visible when I turn on "USB mode", connection test show: USB connected
but the sync can not work because "device not detected".
I don't install anything neither make any change on my PDA before that.
Could anyone help me?

Thanks Nir for your replay, i found the problem: it was a bug of Active Sync!, I reinstalled Active Sync IN REPAIR mode (remove Active Sync and reinstall anew one would not work) and all go fine again.

delete any partnerships on both device and pc, start a fresh. Also try turning off "enable faster data sync" in usb to pc.

I have O2 atomlife and in my laptop, i am not able to syncronise. when the device is connected to the laptop via usb cable, it shows connected. But no way to sync. I tried installing in another pc and it works fine there. Can some one help please.....

Vista: WMDC Synchronization error

Hi Guys,
Any help would be appreciated please. I am currently running Windows Vista. My mobile device is a samsung omnia. I have been synchronizing my phone successfully for the past few months. However, last week, when i tried to connect with the cable (as always), I get the error "To synchronize this device, you must install ActiveSync 4.5 or newer on your desktop computer"
4.5 as i know, is an XP programme so im stuck... I have tried disabling my firewall and this does not seem to help either. I have searched the net and have still not been able to find a solution.
I would appreciate any suggestions!

WMDC
I had the same problem with Windows7. I had to end the partnership with my phone(Sprint Touch Pro), disconnected the usb cable and rebooted the pc. After windows fully loaded I hooked the phone back to the usb and wmdc found my phone, loaded the drivers etc.,and hasn't had a problem since. Hope it works for ya.

I tried this to no avail.
I also uninstalled all drivers in Device manager. I then rebooted and plugged my phone in with "advance..." blocked checked. and my WMDC started up and found my phone. However, for some reason, I can no longer connect to my 3g card when i have this option checked. Then i uncheck the option and plug the phone back in and I get the same error message, and WMDC wont even detect my device.
Ive trolled the web and cannot find any solutions..
Any assistance please!!!
