Registry help, blackjack 2 - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys I really need help with changing something on my blackjack. I wanted to change the PDA version but I couldn't find it. I flashed the clean rom that was on here, and it changed it, I was going to flash back to the at&t version, but the flash app wont let me. I get an error that says the software version is wrong.

changing tmobile extended rom for vodafone

Ok, i have spent ages trying to do something that i am sure is possible but i just can't get my head round it.
I have installed the latest t-mobile rom, no problems.
I know how to view the extended rom but i want to change this for the vodafone extended rom,
I know that ican install the voda rom cabs afterwards to remove the tmobile stuff but i want to do it permantly so that everytime i do a hard reset its all done automatically.
Should i be able to download a rom that is already altered like this anywhere?
If this makes any sense to anyone i would appreciate any help because i just don't know where i am going wrong...
Thanks
Why don't you install vodafone version instead ? (the german version)
Hi
check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=36220
i did the same but with a Qtek EXT Rom, download the latest Vodafone Update you can find, then just replace the EXT Rom file from the Tmobile or other update and replace it for the one you want, run normal update procedure and voila
Thanks for the replies, compumad, i can't seem to see your file on the ftp site?
I understand what you are saying etc but i'm afraid i don't understand how to do this at all.
What i need is some very friendly and clever person who is not so lazy as me  to make the rom for me (it is christmas after all).
Failing that i might just give in and buy a new phone on contract and stop playing about with them!! lol.
cheers

Samsung Omnia Rom problem

I'm terribly sorry as I'm very new to this and this is my first time in using a pocket pc phone and I got myself into a bit of a problem. I recently bought myself a samsung omnia (I live in Egypt) and I was curious and interested in installing htc's touchflo rom. It was a custom made one that I found on youtube and sadly being an idiot, I downloaded it.. i thought it was a skin but i didn't know it was a rom.. the link is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9Vu9EtLrOM (sorry if this is considered as an illegal rom, so feel free to remove it I guess)
Now after I installed this, I find that most of my programs have been deleted and the rom does work so the phone hasn't bricked or anything but I want to get back the old stock samsung rom.. I was wondering if this is possible or not. I did manage to stumble on this topic http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-r...re-version-fix/ but after downloading that silly custom rom, I don't want to get into any risks.
When i first got the phone, I remember it was a DXHH1 So I'm wondering if I should download that or download a better one.
I tried searching for any topics around here but I'm not entirely sure as I can't understand most of the jargon used around here.
again I'm sorry for asking this and I really appreciate it!
So you did flash a rom? You went through the boot loader and all?
You can download the touchflo as a program, it doesn't have to be cooked into a rom.
If you did flash a new rom, yes it would delete your programs. it is like reformating and reinstalling windows on your computer, it deletes everything.
Thank you very much for your reply!
Yes I did go through the program and and I thought the touchflo rom was a program but I didn't know.
My question is if its possible to get back the old rom.. the stock rom for the samsung omnia.. you know.. the touchwiz and windows 6.1 and get it back to normal. Problem is I don't know how. I did find the upgrades to the samsung omnia and I was wondering if I could download it or something but I'm unsure if it might brick the phone even further.

Help! Need i910 eboot!

I've done something incredibly stupid! I've flashed an i900 1.37 bootloader to my i910. Luckily, it still says "Samsung" on the screen and will let me flash from Grand Prix. Now, I just need an eboot.nb0 for an i910, but I can't find one anywhere, and I can't figure out how to extract one from an existing ROM.
Someone please help!
Hummm
I did the same thing, but i got my partial phone back.
I have flashed back to the same rom and my phone still lives out of the annoying omnia screen that will freeze it. Am glad i didn't brick it.
All i need to do now is find the eboot for the i910.
PLS let me know if any luck!!!

New Rom on TP2

Ok so I want to flash a new rom on my Verizon TP2 so I can get manila 2.5. It is currently flashed with a 3rd party/custom rom which I do not know about (took it to Phonestop and they did it so it could work on Cricket). My question is, when I got the phone it was already flashed and when i went to take it to Cricket to get it activated, they said I had to go get another flash done. So i went to phonestop and the guy said something about the number had to be manually entered to get it to work (not sure what number that was). Anyways, I'm afraid that if I flash the phone again myself using a Cricket Rom with manila 2.5, that my phone will be unusable as I have no idea what number they were talking about.
So my question to you guys is if you know what number that was and how to do that myself?
Or do you think I should take it back to the same place and ask to flash again with a 2.5 manila rom? Thanks for any input.
And the reason I didn't put this in the ROM's section, was because it doesn't really have anything to do with the ROM, its the phone itself that had to be changed, from what I understood.

The guy was correct when he said "number had to be manually entered". A good source for DYI on Cricket is "HowardForums.com" under the PDA section for Cricket. Sorry it's been over a year since I flashed a Sprint Diamond to Cricket and I don't have the files anymore to help. But it's not hard, just read and just read and then read somemore until you understand.
Much Thanks. I appreciate it. Gonna do some research on howardforums and see what I can come up with. Thanks again!
