Problems with connecting through messaging & web programs (msn messenger, pandora..)
No matter what rom I flash too, I can't connect through my messenger program (slick), AIM mobile doesn't work and programs like Skyfire and Pandora do not work...seems like they only all time out. Also, it seemed everything worked fine on the stock at&t rom. Anyone know if there is some connection settings?

Was just wondering what are the various IM clients out there? Currently I'm using MSN messenger, and tried cooking imov into the rom (but it didn't work...).
I currently leave my MSN messenger logged in, occassionally, messages would come in but I might have missed them. Answering an incoming call cuts off the GPRS connection, and all the open MSN chats close too - as a result, those messages are gone. =(
I'm actually looking for an instant messenger client (MSN and/or ICQ) that would allow me to log chats automatically. Recommendations anyone?
Imov is good but it doesn't work if it is part of a cooked ROM ... another better client is AgileMessenger [freeware] which has direct connection to the 4 IMs without the need for a Jabber server
I use agile, and it seems to be good. The only problem is as mentioned above is if you get a call you loose your gprs connection. Otherwise it seems to work good.

I believe this is a limitation of GPRS rather than Agile. Been looking at it and it does look good - at least, unlike MSN messenger, unread messages don't get lost when the GRPS disconnects. I guess thats nice, but I'd really like something that would keep logs as well... hmm. The 'autostart' that MSN messenger has when an internet connection is detected is interesting too.
Any other popular IM clients out there?

I have been having problems loading up yahoo mail. I use the original opera mobile to load the desktop version of yahoo mail. However, after it loads, before I have a chance to do anything, it goes blank and then tries to reload the page again. It keeps doing this for no apparent reason. I usually have to manually stop the page before I can click on any messages. Sometimes the stop command doesn't even stop the reloading. Is there something wrong with opera, or did yahoo mail do something new to the site that prompts opera to keep reloading. I don't think I noticed this few months ago. Don't know what is new since.
I'm not having a problem with web access of Yahoo via. Opera. I have had a ton of problems using IMAP and use web as a backup and that has been fairly reliable. When I used Pocket IT on my Motorola Q, I often had to clear temporary files and even cookies but haven't seen that problem using Opera in my Sprint Touch Pro. You might try clearing your cookies and temp files ... (I dunno how to do that in Opera!).
I suddenly am unable to view my email messages. I can download them, and they show up in the inbox, but when I click on them, nothing happens. I have three email accounts (Comcast POP3, gMail, and Hotmail) and have used them for years. I did make only one change in the past week to my phone, and I believe it does have some connection to my problem. I use Internet Explorer Mobile occasionally to visit some secure web sites that I cannot open with Opera. I hate the newest version of IEM 6.5, so I downloaded the older version that came with WM6.1 and that is when some of my problems started. At first, I couldn't open gMail. But Comcast and Hotmail both worked fine. Then yesterday morning I couldn't open Comcast but Hotmail still worked. Now today nothing will open. Any suggestions? Anyone know of a cab for the latest Internet Explorer Mobile 6.5 that I could reinstall? Maybe that might fix the problem. I know IEM isn't very popular, but I still need it for a couple of web sites. Thanks in advance.....

Hey,
I was wondering if there is an application that let's the windows live messenger connected in sleep mode. I tried searching the forums and found something about OZ messenger which had a push function?
Is there a way to get windows live messenger to have a 24/7 connection and push messages?
Thanks in advance.
Hi there,
After have tried various IM clients I would recomend Fring (FREE) and IM+ All-in-one(Non FREE).
On both you can log in simultaneously to Skype. Messenger, Yahoo, etc.
Fring also supports voice calls on skype + VOIP (SIP providers).
IM+ all-in-one does not support voice calls, but has push capabilities (very handy).
Both will keep your presence on 24/7.
I personaly only use Fring.
No HD2 version of fring? Can't find it on the website, isn't there a push addon for the windows live messenger since I like the interface?
Check this out:

Perhaps this is a nice feature, it seems to have push options.
