I updated my palm treo 750 from WM 5 something to WM 6.5 a few days ago. at first it was glitching out but now it is just stuck at the windows mobile screen.
i tried soft rest i tried hard reset. i cant do anything through the computer because it does not load enough. any help would be appropriated.

I don't know what you mean by doesn't load enough, but try flashing back to an OEM rom.
(you can use the bootloader menu to do that) (there's a guide on how to do that in my signature in the GUIDES thread)
Try to remove both sim and memory card...

try to take out both sim card and memory card and do a soft reset.. will help sometimes

Hey guys!
While working on my PPC this weekend, I noticed that the system froze while just trying to open NYDITOT Virtual Display.
I tried doing a soft reset and after doing so the system freezes at the "Welcome to T-Mobile" bootup screen and it does not go into the OS (windows Mobile 2003 "Non-SE")
I tried pushing the soft reset button with the device OFF, without the battery, without the sim card, and nothing seems to work.
I cant even re-load the original ROM as Active Synch doesnt see the device due that I dont get into the OS.
Now luckely for me, T-mobile advised that i only had a 3 month warranty with them, which of course "expired" so i was hoping someone could suggest something that might help me resolve this problem.
Any help will be greatly appriciated.

I upgraded our first SPVM1000 (xda2 from orange) with WM5 and it all seemed to work fine.
I then up upgraded the second and it went fine. The second one is still workign completely fine with no problems. We noticed that the first one could not get reception. If you put its sim card in the other phone then it works. Now I tried with with Orange and Vodafone sims. They work in PDA 2 but in PDA 1 there is no reception (it was working yesterday).
Then it kept coming up with an error saying that it was sorry for the inconvenience but there was an error with cprog.exe.
After a reset (power button and soft reset button) that stopped happening but then I found that I could not active sync PDA1. It cant connect and so connects as "guest". After what used to be a hard reset, everything is still as though I just did a soft reset with WM5 - not sure why.
Then I tries to backdate it to the old rom. If I use OSImage tool it wants it to be active synced which doesn't work (v3.8 or v4.0). I also tried to reupgrade with WM5 again (a fresh installation) but althoght it will go into boot mode with Serial 1.03 and then USB 1.03 appearing on the screen, the upgrade fails. It says there is a communication error.
Everything is working with PDA 2 so it cant be a connection fault. I think I did something and now I got myself in quite a pickle.
Can anyone help please?
I'd be happy to reset / reboot right back to the beginning again though I'd like to keep WM5.

Solution (how to hard reset in wimdows mobile 5)
Hard resetting WM5 has fixed all of these problems including the phone reception. To hard reset (sometimes called clear reset in the forums) you have to press the tape and camera buttons and then the soft reset with the stylus. This is on an XDA2 (SPVM1000) and is different since upgrading to WM5 (prev power button and the soft reset did the trick). I found lots of websites giving different instructions on how to do this but for the XDA2 type this works.

3 months a go I got the phone from t mobile is been came whit the windows mobile5 and I install the windows mobile 6 but I am having turabul whit it and I when to go back to windows mobile5 now I call the T-Mobile customer service they cudont help me and refer me to manufacture to solve the problem.
I tray to install the window mobile5 but is giving me turabull code 224 devise is not responding I tray to dart resetting is well but instil is running on window mobile 6.
Can you pls help me to install the window mobile5, or have to delete the rom update.

Ok....... i brought a palm treo750 off ebay and it came unlocked but i cant seem to find the software that i need to sync music from pc to phone...
some 1 plzs HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!
the software is called Microsoft Activesync 4.5
It is free and available all over the web for download.

Sorry to bother but i have a few questions for someone out there...i have a 750 treo and none of the support on this website is helping...i am trying to flash my palm 750 but its says the file is corrupted..what do i do about that? Progress only reaches 7% ive used cheetah and kaiser with the cheeimg.nbh file and the ruu_signed.nbh files and unlockers and i was also wondering if it can be flashed just using the computer and usb in booter mode since it wont go past the palm splash screen...i can access my treo using mtty but doing task 2a doesnt do anything either... I think that maybe my phone is screwed up. I appreciate any help you can offer.

I have a Treo 750, it came with WM5, I updated it to WM6 around a year ago. I did an official update, the one we were able to get from the Palm website. I've been very unhappy with it lately. Even after some hard resets, the thing is just slow sometimes, and I would just like to try one of those cooked ROM and see if I can get a some performance improvement, small or not.

So, anyway, first step according to everyone is to install HardSPL. And this is as far as I can go. I'm using CheetahUnlocker.exe found in these boards. I put my treo in bootloader mode, then run CheetahUnlocker. Start step 1. But when it is trying to the update, where you see the progress bar, it goes straight to 100%, and then it fails with an error message 207, saying that the image is corrupted. The Treo itself reboots back to the OS.
I've been reading and reading for hours and I haven't been able to do this. I even follow some steps regarding Vista drivers, but that didn't work either. I tried it in XP at work and it didn't work. I always get the same error. I'm seriously lost and I would really like to try a lite ROM.
Is there any other way I can try to install hard spl? Can it be installed via the SD card method. Also, I could just go ahead and install the cooked rom via the SD card method but I wouldn't like to risk my phone that way.
When I reset my phone with the Media button pressed, first I get the tri-color screen for less than 1 sec, then I get a gray window with blue letters that says "Loading" for a few secs, and then I'm back to the try color screen that says:
"Palm Tr
IPL-0.20
Palm Tr
SPL-0.24.0000"
Any ideas? Please I really need help.
No one? I really need help flashing the HardSPL. I thought about trying to install the hardspl via SD, but I read it wouldn't work. Any ideas?
hi, do you format the SD in FAT32 and 512 bytes in your PC??? you must do this before copy de cheeimg.nbh file to SD.
not sure if this is too late but mine was doing the same thing. I switched to a lower capacity SD card and it worked fine. 2GB or less.
I have the same problem, just the 3 collor screen...nothing else. Any ideas??? Please...
I was updating my phone from windows mobile 6.1 to one of Ryan Moguls 6.5 updates today. Everything worked alright, it turned on, loaded everything, but only stayed on for about a minute. After soft resetting it a few times it is now stuck on the three colored screen. I've tried hard resetting it (the prompt comes up, I hit yes), but then it just goes back to the same three colored screen. The screen says:
TITA100
SPL-1.2.Olipro
& then at the bottom it says Serial.
I've tried putting wm 6.1 back on it, but I keep getting error 290.
I would REALLY love some help!
I managed to use the microSD method to get windows 6.5 & the needed radio for it. My problem now is that it is stuck in a reboot loop. It'll stay on for about a minute and then reset. I figure it is because I need olipro 2.40, but i have a 64-bit computer that won't support it. Any suggestions?
