hey guys so im running 6.5 now on my diamond and i cant get TCPMP to run is there any other video player that i can use for my phone or will i have to go back to 6.1?
you dont need TCPMP anymore.WM65 IE has buid-in activeX and WMP plays most of the video formats
how do i go about playing avi every time i try i get an error messege
not sure if this will affect it, but install CF2/3.5 then install TCPMP again... if TCPMP still doesnt work you can try CorePlayer (the newer pay for version of TCPMP), Pocketplayer or the default WM10. There are alternatives which you can find Here

Hi. i have the SDA and i like to play videos from youtube and i cant cause i need a RTSP codec i cant find. and the upgrade to wm 6.0-1 is that good and safe.
Use TCPMP to play those http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ I have 6.1 on my SDA, and as long as you follow instructions, you'll be fine.
I also use plugin for TCPMP which play .flv format!! and I've hear about program AVotMv which play YouTube!
How to make wmplayer as my default player on my touch pro instead of coreplayer? Thanks
I have only had this device for 12hrs and so far I would recommend the DivX mobile player for video and retain the HTC base for audio.
a, saves space
b, DivX is better than WinMed on WM6.1
Until someone says better...
When opening MP4 files i get the quoted error message.
I am pretty sure the files are good (Projection's encoder, correct res) but for some reason WMP or Album will not play the files.
I am using a 6.5 ROM (NATF) on a Touch Pro.
I did install divx player and an older version of tcpmp before I did some research and found out these days everyone was using MP4 in WMP/Album to get better playback. I tried uninstalling divx and tcpmp, but no joy.
Have I done something myself to break it? Is there any hope except a hard reset? Is it maybe a 6.5 thing?
Hello.
Even when i open a .avi-file in the HTC-Player it switches to WMP for playback.
Is it possible to open .avi-files with the HTC-Player instead of the Windows Media Player?
Thanks in advance and best regards.
Wait .. you mean you can play AVIs in WM player ? Cause I can't ..
As i know, you can play AVI files by using CorePlayer (But you have to pay for it).

Click to collapse
I know, but i would prefer to play them with HTC-Player because it runs more smothly than the CorePlayer.
You could also try tcpmp its as far as i know a free version of core player and it works extremely well even on a htc diamond
the latest version of tcpmp does not work on my hd2 .....
apparently core player does not use hardware acceleration like Media player, hence to weaker performance
