It does not sound like you did follow all the directions. You state that in number 3 you ran hard spl. Great. That only gets your device ready for receiving new ROMs....it does NOT actully put a new ROM on your device. Step 4 should be running the Dutty Rom .exe also.
There are other steps too. The Wiki and Sticky (hey that rhymes ) have lots of info, and in many cases, step by step processes. Try reading them again and see what you missed.
Best of luck to you. Once you get the process down, you can repeat and repeat and repeat.

[HELP] installing new rom (vodafone)

hello all,
i've tried a lot of roms who are displayed on this forum. unfortunately none of them worked on my vox jet .
i've read and followed the instructions, but it always result in nothing.
for example the wm 6.1 ROM
i've unlocked my phone, runned the .bat succesfully and then i've used the flash update.
this one tells me that i am going to install a new rom. i follow the steps and the process bar wil come up (on pc and phone). but in a few seconds (instead of 10min) he is ready with installing, and displayes that the new rom is installed.
my phone reboots directly, and its shows the vodafone starting image, nothing is changed.
i've tried a couple of 4 ROMs, they all wont work.
A hard reset befor running the steps doenst make any difference.
is there somebody who have a (dutch) Vodafone branded version of HTC Vox?
Can someone help me?
Thanks for your time
Hi,
I have a Dutch vodafone bbranded S710 and flashed it with the latest ROM update.
First I followed the instructions in the post to flash the USPL and then had no problem updating it with a new rom.
Mike
thanks for your post, now i know it have to be possible, and i do something wrong.
th steps i do is
1. run the SDA unlocker -> succesfull
2. delete storage card from slot
3. rebooting mobile
4. copy the 3 USPL to the root directory of my phone
5. run uspl and follow seps
6. when i am able to install roms, my phone screen is black and has 3 difrent collors
7. running rom update
and, wtf he is updating :s, the only diferance between now and before, is that i broke connection with activesinc. and clicked the readme file on the rom update.
thanks for your support anyway
so did you finally manage to flash it or not?
uspl is a necessary step.
breaking the usb connection while flashing could brick your phone so be careful.
yes, now it worked.
i think because i didnt follow the steps 100% :S
didnt reboot at all, and did the steps diplayed above different.
It took a while, but now i am a happy user
thanks

Installing HardSPL 3.28 on Tilt Fails Everytime:

I decided to flash Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19716/5.2.19700 and hope for better battery management and before I went to change the radio rom it said that I should install hardspl so I downloaded it and in the middle of installing it it fails and i have tried twice now.
Am I doing something wrong? I'm a newb at flashing roms so pardon me.
Please post in the sticky thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922
And be very very descriptive about what exactly you are doing and how exactly it is failing.
please post this issue in the hardspl 3.28 thread, and provide a little more details

Help for reverting back to origianl rom! Urgent!!!

first of all sorry for y English...
Ive been read the threads about that, but ive this problem:
i ve a hardspl 3.29 and trying to downgrade to original rom the flashing process stops at 15%.
i can install only custom rom and so i cant reverting back to original rom and spl.
ive been tried to flash first the spl but not working...
someone can help me please?
thx!!
wow, I don't think I've ever haleard it this way before. Usually you can't upgrade to a cooked ROM, not the other way around.
So, you get no errors while installing a cooked ROM, but it stops at 15% when trying to downgrade...
I know that some shipped ROMs flash the SPL at 15%, so this must be the problem.
Undortunately, I am a lucky one who has never had anything bad happen to me while flashing (besides my laptop running out of battery), so I don't really have much advice to give you, but I'm sure somebody else will.
Sorry, hope it all goes well for you
HardSPL prevents itself from being replaced. You need to run JumpSPL or SSPL-KAIS on the phone when it is running WM as normal, which will switch you to triciolor screen, where you can flash the original SPL.
This should be detailed in the "How to revert to factory state" page in the wiki.
thx but ive been done all and now my kaiser it's brick on bootloader:
dont allow to flash hard spl
dont allow to flash custom rom
dont allow to flsh original rom
Help PLease!!!!!!!
