hello i am a new user on xda i have got a problem while during flashing or installing rom its got error on reattempt it become frozen after a reset now its not working absolutely black screen and no recognition on desktop even not in usb mobe what should i do now i need a great help otherwise i would loose this set

I suppose you tried to flash a custom rom & not an official.
Have you done the basic before flashing? I mean if you have CID/SIM unlocked your phone? If not you may have bricked/destroy your device .
If you haven't already read this guide about unlocking.
Also take a look at this thread. It has everything about Hermes.
This is how far I can go because I don't own a Hermes. I wish you to find the solution of your problem .-
thanks for helping me actually my mobile was unlocked before i was flashing it with htc binkys before that i flashed my mobile with htc ultimate v2 during fiashing from ultimate to binkys error occured now when i switch on my phone the windows ultimate screen appears then becomes black and after some times when i press the on button screen becomes white also when i send a call to this phone screen turns on but no ring and no button functions thats the whole story what should i do now really i have very bad feelings without this mobile its my best friend also what is kitl trick

Why don't you try to do a hard reset?
Ofcourse you will lose your data but it may revive your phone .-
Thanks friend i have done it you know some great person like you guided me and i did it you know what i did i pressed the external ok and power button simultaneously then i pressed the soft rest button and kept pressing both buttons with this bootloader mood appeared i connected it to desktop and ran the official rom thanks Allah i get back my phone really great feelings i also want to know how to hard reset a dead phone thanks friend

Hi Everyone,
I have T Mobile MDA Vario II and my problem is the screen touch on which i use my stylus stick to tap on is not working. When i tap anything on the screen non of the functions are working which means i can not use the phone to make call or get any information from it.
I will be happy if anybody can help me to solve it and i have tried things like resetting and trying to calibrate again.

I have a HTC TyTN which i *think* is the same device. Basically its rubbish when it sleeps on its own. Don't let it turn its self off. Do it yourself. Kills 99% of all known "comas" (which is what its known as) and only requires a touch of the off button
SOrry, just to add:
have you tried the soft reset underneath by the slider switch where you sink it with usb? Stick a pen or pencil in and hold for a second. If all goes well you won't loose any info and it will restart. Then you can go into system and turn off autosleep.

would you please help me have the BT HTC S710 Original ROM? I have only seen the BT HTC S620, which when I tried to flash with to rebrand, blanked my HTC S710 screen. When I turn it on, only the two green lights come on either side of the phone ear piece.
It means that a hard reset is not visible on my screen, there is no tri-colour display either.
I have tried other ROMS, and get invalid id errors and error 270. I have tried Dr Gonzo and related ROMS.
It's now three days, no phone no pim, I am lost.

I tried the 620 rom and just have the 2 green LED's. I cannot get a bootloader screen and attempts to flash new roms get to 3% and then I get errors.
Did you ever sort this problem out?

Yes, I'm afraid I did, by mistake, flash 620 ROM to the 710 [feels rather stupid!]
Not happy with BT’s [mobile operator] own ROM and software that went on the phone, I successfully flashed Dr. Martin Gonzo’s Windows Mobile 6.1 v1.1 and have been using it for a couple of months but when BT launched their new phone software, I decided to try it but because it won’t work with WM 6.1, I needed to then revert back to BT’s old ROM and this was the only one available that I could find [feels rather stupid again].
The screen is completely black; only green LED's on each side of the earpiece shows any sign of life.
Connecting the phone via ActiveSync shows “HTC-S620 Connected” and I am able to browse the files on the phone but not having a display on the phone, I am limited to what I can do.
I have tried running RUU_Vox_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.1_4.1.13.54_03.10.90_Ship.exe but ActiveSync connection is lost and I hear the Windows hardware removed sound shortly after the progress bar is shown.
I’m at a loss as to what to try

Shut it down, then hold down camera button and plug in the usb cable. The boot screen should appear and you should be able to flash the normal ROM!
I cannot get the boot screen, or any screen for that matter.
I have tried taking the battery out to make sure the phone is off. Reinserting that battery then holding the camera button down and then inserting the usb lead. The keypad lights up for a few seconds then goes out. ActiveSync then connects but the screen is still black

Sorry for replying to my own post but a quick update...
I have managed to bring the phone back to life and reinstall Dr. Martin Gonzo’s Windows Mobile 6.1 v1.1 on it again.
This is partly assumption and not particularly accurate but the original poster (YOSEFE) might find this useful.
By installing the S620 rom on the S710, not only did I make the screen go blank, I think all the keys ended up remapped and mixed up, therefore any attempt to install Gonzo’s rom ultimately ended in failure because when the phone beeped and wanted a keypress to continue, pressing the left softkey for ‘OK’ or ‘Yes’ did not work because it had been remapped to do something else.
What worked for me is that when the phone beeped during the uspl_116_jockyw.bat install, I pressed the X or C key (I can’t remember the exact one now). One of these keys must have been the ‘OK’ or ‘Yes’ key after the S620 rom muddled things up. I only know this by trial and error over the period of today.
To my glee, the backlight lit up on the display and after a bit of tinkering, I’m back in action again
I won’t be installing a rom designed for another model again!

sorry for not returning here to see your post. I will remember the possibility of pressing "X" or "C", should I make the same mistake as before, although like you, I should never do that ever again. However, technology being what it is, who knows?

Hello all... got kind of a big problem that i at the moment don't have an answer to,..
inastalled advanced configuration tool 3.2 on HTC Polaris, the first crash i had was when I enabled animation for menus... (the start menu turned black and the polaris froze), but when i managed to start the advanced configuration tool i unchecked it and it was ok,...
the MAJOR PROBLEM accured when I set the touch screen sensitivity, because the touch part of the screen is inresponsive,.. meaning it does not work at all,.. tryed very hart pressing but it doesn't do it.. the problem is because i can't reach eg start menu or the lower 2 shortcuts with hard button cursor (the wheel)... gestures work however, so i can call the touch flo cube but am not able to select anything, and sam thing goes for enetering pin,.. so i'm not able to make phone calls at the moment.. did few hard resets, and uninstalled the adv. conf. tool but nothing helped... can anyone tel me where (and how to get there) can i adjust this back to normal, i wanted to do this in the advanced configuration tool 3.2 but the problem is you cant make any changes since the screen doesn't work,.. same with reinstalling the program, i can select to install it on a card but canot "click" on next since the screen doesn't do it and the hard keys "can't go there"
so really really someone help me please...

Are you sure you hard reset and this problem went away or did you mean soft reset?
Maybe aligning the screen will help reset the pressure? Click the button in the middle of the wheel and the GPS button at the same time, the Windows align screen pops up. See if that helps.
I find it very hard to believe that you hard reset and the touch screen sensitivity is still not there. That can't be right.

thanx for the reply,... another problem that accoured afterwards was that my friend held the end button (wich locks the keys, screen) and the phone was additionally locked... and literally nothing (again NOTHING ) helped, spent 5 hours trying to save the situation,.. i did soft reset (so your assumption was right) but when later tryed hard reset it probably wasn't done since the instructions say you do it with holding gps and iExplorer buttons while soft reseting it... this resulted in getting the "hard reset screen" wich says to confirm hard reset with hitting the send button, wich unfortunatelly i wasnt able to find in hard keys, and nothing else but this warning text was on the screen as well.. so in the end it probably ended upo wit soft resetting it, anyways it didn't help,... i decided to reinstall the rom i downloaded on htc official site,... it went thru ok and the phone is , though out of the box at least functional,... but in the end, i must admit that am a little surprised this happened with this tool pack (i actually avoided altering the registers just in order to avoid this kid of situations since i don't really know much about these things)... was expecting it to work (in my case) a bit better, more stable. All i wanted really was to get a bit louder speaker volume when ringing and ability to alter the HTC home toolbar, since i find the weather screen totaly irreliable and never really use it, so i thought I would have sth there that i might really have some use of..
well nevertheless.. the phone is working, that's all that matters at the mom so i can again start finishing my phd wich i am defending in a week
PS. the fact that you can not do practically anything without the touch screen just sucks big time, if i compare it to the mouse on pc,... i saved the situation many times with the keybord .. in 1 word strange

Perhaps you should have tryied out the "My Mobile" aplication that allows you to use your mobile from a PC.
It shows a windows with the mobile screen and you can touch it and use the mobile like if you was touching the REAL mobile...
Late for that solucion, perhaps another with that problem can solve it this way...

@gastonfama: am not sure this would help, since a friend that has htc diamond has this tool pack on and it work k ok on his phone,.. that's why i predicted that it is going to be stable enough on mnie as well,.. so in my thinking, if the 2 htc that are rather alike had such different "reaction", than an emulation would be even less comparable to mine, thanks though
Had the same problem with Schaps_AdvancedConfig and wrong HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel\PressureThreshold setting.
XML I used had "200" as advised value (system default is 2908!),
after changing you could hit it with a hammer and nothing.
Managed to set is back to recommended value 9000 using MyMobiler app and all problems gone.

sys default is 18866, I use now 19866 and I'm happy

I had that same screen not working problem after tweaking the phone with advanced config 3.3, 3.2, 3.1, only hardware buttons work.
Problem can only be solved by Hard Reset. Version 2.2 I think is the only one that works (not thoroughly tested though)

If you can not access phone you are unable to change the registry. Have you tried performing a hard reset? Are you able to access bootloader?

Actually, I almost perform hardreset, (pressing the softkey and press reset using stylus) a grey screen show up to confirm but then I cancel it and I decide to go to this forum to find a better solution before I do a hardreset. Because I want to save my email dan especially SMS.
About Bootloader, I've never try it, could it do something to access my PDA's registry? Would you mind to explain me how?

Unfortunately if your device does not boot up your only option may be a hard reset or to flash another rom. I only asked about bootloader as you need to access it to flash a rom. What happens when you try to reboot?

Yes flashing a rom is similar to a hard reset in that it wipes everything off your device and restore factory settings.
As I don't own a X1 I cannot comment if anything else could be done. But from what you say, it looks like a hard reset may be your only cure. For future reference, its always best to backup your device (contacts/emails/sms/settings etc etc) for instances like this

i have hard reset 2wice, and ive tried going into settings/personal/buttons to assign them but only send key(hold) is displayed.. no other buttons are in the list ... please help

no ... only .cab mods nothing major... it happened after i installed a few translator downloads, when it asked to select record button shortcut key maybe???? idk... its all i can really think of.....

How could you hard reset if the hard keys don't work?
hard reset..... settings/security/factory reset
or
settings/all settings/system/clear storage
also removed battery for five mins still no luck..... i miss my buttons :'(
take it back to the store or do a handset exchange with t mobile
took it down to telstra shop this morning... theyve sent it away for repair.... i feel naked without it, it was past the 30 day exchange period but should still be covered by warranty they think, i will try my best to find out the exact resolution to this issue and post it here, in case anybody else comes accross the problem.. thankyou for your help guys !!!
