soft reset, and on settings<system you will see Processor icon
it slow down the processor if it is not used, on my UNI down to 19Mhz, charged my UNI to 100% few hours ago, it is still at 100% with Phone turned on.
usually now it would be 85-86%
some users say after working whole day on it to have 60% instead of 10%
post some feedback
Thanks for sharing
Let´s test it...
Just curious... would over or under clocking have any adverse effects on hardware?
Guy's,
You must not install it in Uni, as it has a different (PXA2XX) processor.
Trying it on this device may cause a HW damage!!

Weren't you a bit late? I installed it! Luckily no harm sustained. It didn't work though as processor was of unknown type for this application.
I hope orb3000 is safe, he was earlier than me here.

Tomal said 'it may' and not 'it will' so luckly we are safe. But it never worked for me. I mean it installed and opened correctly but processor was never under clocked, it showed fluctuations between 400 and 500 MHz all the time. Never being stable at 19 MHz.
My question remains unanswered... 'does over or under clocking causes any trouble in the long run'? As in the case of Desktop PCs over clocking heats the processor and prolonged use destroys it.

OK, I'M JUST GLAD THAT NOBODY BRICKED THER DEVICE.
i am not sure, but under-over clocking could maybe cause problem even on ppc

I got my orbit last friday and apart from having a quick mess around with a few apps like iFonz and others i have not really touched on anything.
But i have noticed that the phone seems to be quite sluggish and would like to know if its possible to strip it right down to the core and then enabled features one by one to speed it up?
If i dont get this thing running a bit more snappy i may not be keeping it for long!
It's just generally a crap device...
I'm seriously thinking of getting rid...

It depends,
If you have HARD SPL so you can upgrade easily by copying the rom (.nbh) file to mem card and it installs by itself (there is thread in "polaris upgrading" forum explains exactly how 2do it).
If you don't have HARD SPL look for guides how to make it cause without it your cruise is "locked" for installing new roms.
I bought mine with HARD SPL installed so i donno how 2do it..

Do not know. I simply cooked the ROM with some best app. And also compressed the app.
But its amazing that it shows 50 mb memory
Also its very fast like real htc touch diamond......
I am trying to upload but cannot. I have a vey slow internet ( I mean 56k ). It is very costly connection also...............The file size 48.5 mb.
I will pull out my old Wizard for this one.
Patiently waiting.

O MY GOD I killed my wizard
My htc wizard is not booting!
Black screen when I press on the power button. No response.......
I was flashing my ROM for testing. It hanged at 30% ( I waited for 30 min ).
When I pressed on the power button, there was no response or no 3 color display.
I killed my wizard.....

Hello,
Kindly please close this thread.....................
I cannot upload the file. Due to killing my wizard
I am very sorry guys....
I had the same thing happen to me when i flashed to the 3.1 Diamond Rom, it hung at 88% for an hour. so i unplugged the phone, booted into bootloader, and then loaded the TMo stock rom and then tried diamond again and it worked fine.
have you tried going directly into bootloader mode and then flashing from there? It should work no problems...

Does this mean the Thread's title can be changed again?
And did you find out which part of the Sys port you tried caused the Memory issue
Or was it XIP.
I personally believe there is no shame in mistakes.
If there's one thing that XDA has stood for from day one.
It is to take stuff apart and see how it works.
Then adding and taking out stuff that can prove or disprove a theory.
Eventually it's mistakes that we're looking for.
If you find out what caused this behavior it could be of great benefit to others trying to cook their own rom.
I am build a new ROM plz help.
It is hanging at 3rd splash screen.

Hi,
first off, pls don't bit my head off, as I have already i've search the forums and googled; found a couple apps here and there but nothing fits exactly my need.
Just would like to ask, what clock software you are using for your device? My device is a o2 zinc and i've been using chronos for quite sometime now but Im having probelms lately. i've tried the default alarms but i'm having intermittent problems too; sometimes it works, sometime it does not
Basically, my needs for the clock software is, it has to have a "Every half an hour" chime and scheduled restart capability, and off course a good old realiable alarm for wakeup(nothing fancy, just the rooster.wav will do ). Many thanks in advance...

thnx )) So i shouldnt worry about anything?
Nah, had the phone not froze and you've kept on using it for a long period of time - then yes, it mightve damaged something in the long run.
But since it froze right away, the odds of something getting damaged is minimal.

Thnx! But do you know the highest safe voltage for S4 processors! Just asking!
Ps: I'm new to Xda, but used to Android and Linux specially.
Nope, no idea. I dont really see the point on OC'ing a phone, all it does is drain the battery faster , and the S got plenty of power as-is

dear all:
Does the G9550 have an overclocking core? My phone is very slow, I can't stand it. I want to have an overclocking core to make my phone smooth.
If there is no overclocking core, is there a LineageOS 16 version that supports G9550? I did not find support for the G9550 device on the official website.
Thank You

do you think that the clock speed is the issue? i ask becuase for most users its something else thats causing the slowness of the phone

dear :
I reset my phone, but the speed of the operation still has not improved. I must suspect that the software is slow to open because of other reasons. My phone does not have ROOT permission. I will determine whether to obtain the highest permission according to the obtained plan. .
The end of By Alan is my habit, there is no other meaning, I am sorry, I am very sorry.
