There is a Webisupdate.exe in your windows directory, delete that.
And the shortcut which is usually in /windows/Start Menu/Program Files/

I need to remove Agile Messenger from my XDA. When I do, I get a message which says, "Uninstall unsuccessful. The program was not removed because these files are in use or are read only."
The files concerned are:
\Programme Files\AgineMobile\messenger.exe
and
\Windows\AMWatcher.dll.
Please someone advise me as to what I can do to remove these files as my XDA 1 won't let me do so - thanks.
if it's today item is present then remove it first
and softreset if it still will not delete it then look in
windows\autostart if there is something related to
it which autostart
Somehow, when I installed GoodLink for my corporate email, the original Contacts.exe program was deleted (or all links pointing to it have been modified). Can anyone use Total Commander to tell me what the Contact List shortcut links to, and possibly upload that file to the forum so I can fix this mess?
I would love you forever.
anyone?
hi,
i hope you understand what i mean.
my 750v doesnt show the typical popup message for reminding me on calendar items oder tasks.
how comes?
I'm having the same problem as well. I suspect it's one of the SPB software I have installed but not sure which one. Maybe I'll try uninstall Shell & Diary to see if either one is causing the problem.
What about you? Do you have SPB Shell and/or Diary installed?
i have diary installed and i need it.
Similar issue, no SPB software
I had a similar issue, and found that it was related to duplicate items on the notifications queue. There is a program floating around called "checknotifications" (search google) that'll tell you if that's your problem.

I've thought about that too. Unfortunately even deleting all the duplicate entries, I was still unable to solve the problem. I will try to uninstall SPB Diary & test for a few days to see.
didnt help
I'll take the risk... you did set the 'Display Message on Screen' option in Sounds and Notifications, for Reminders... right?
I hard reset my treo now the reminders are ok. Could be memmaid registry cleaner causing the issue. It gave me problems with Voice Command as well. So far stayed away from memmaid & sktools, or any registry hacking software seems to be alright.
no solution until now?
I had that issue and installed Today Agenda. It is free and is a kick ass program and works great. Never had that issue again.
you first had the problem and after installing it it was gone? or after hardresetting and installing it?
I experienced a similar problem.
reason was the file associations of .mid, which a media program changed.
Result was that my device did not wake up anymore to show messages and play the sound. Even vibration did not work any more.
Yes it sounds strange, but for me this was definitivly the reason because I can reproduce this error, when connecting .mid again with this program.
I had to "de-associate" the .mid and notifications and everthing worked again.
hope this helps
Hi
Something went wrong while restoring a backup using Sprite Backup, and it only partially restored my email accounts. In the TF3D interface, the accounts are visible. But as soon as I tap an email to open it in the WM email program, I directs me to the main Messaging screen. In that screen the email accounts do not show op.
When I try to re-add the account under the same name, I get an error saying the account already exists. I've looked in the registry and file structure to see where WM6 stores mail account information, but was unable to find it.
Does anyone know which files or registry keys I need to delete to make sure all traces of the email accounts are gone?
why don't you try to do a restore again?

The backup was from when I was running a different rom, that's why it's not working the way it should.
I had the same problem. I wrote simple MortScript.
Delete "\cemail.vol"

Place a shortcut to this script to a \Windows\Startup folder and reset. It will have a brand new cemail.vol file when everything boots up. Don't forget to delete the shortcut, or you'll have a brand new cemail.vol every time you boot. It would delete email and sms/mms. After that you can restore your mail one more time.
Problem is in your Sprite Backup and unmark some fields with registry restore ( manual mark fields ). After second restore everything was ok.
Thanks! that fixed it
Perfect fix!
Thanks
I used MortScript to solve the problem. The disadvantage to this is that it wipes out your Txt message history and all your e-mail accounts... all things considered, I'm very happy with this solution.
One thing that tripped me up: When you edit a file in Mobile Word and save it as a text file, it will put a .txt extension on the file, no matter how you tell it to save it. You cannot fix this with File Explorer built into WM6. You will need to either edit the file name with Total Commander or through your computer (via Activesync).
Same Issue
Same issue here, but please How do I write the Mortscript? Any Step by Step guide? This is practically new to me. I just copied what you wrote above into word and create a .txt file?
The ghost email ( 1) on my tab is so annoying

Thank you All!
I used the mailAccountRepair file from this thread to do the repair, then I was able to see it in the winmo email and delete it.
thanks all!!
I used the mailAccountRepair file and fix it!!!!!!!!!!!1 Thanks!!!!!!!
I think I've searched the forum pretty well, but i still can't find out how to add a start menu item to my HTC Fuze (Touch pro) gmail client (which is a java app). I've seen in other threads how to set up gmail with the native email client on the phone, but i'd like ot use the actual java gmail client without having to navigate from start menu -> java -> gmail. how do i do this?
also, how do i set the client so it's signed? it always asks me for permission to access the internet when i want to refresh or send a message. how can i sign gmail so it doesnt ask this?
thanks!
first of you ned to uninstall gmail from your midlet manager and then goto its directory and then into the appdb subdir and note the LAST "suite" file (they have a number after them) and then reinstall gmail and then go back to the appdb folder and note the NEW suite file made and then make a duplicate of any lnk in the start menu and then go into its properties and change the location to this
"Storage Card\Program Files\JBed3dMod\Jbed.exe" -run s69_"
of course adjust the above path to MATCH your midlet managers location AND THE SUITE NUMBER
any problems pm me as i will probably forget i posted here
Where can I find the midlet mannager?I installed some java apps and I don't know how to access them again!

Well, most would likely has the word Java in the Start->Program. If you use cooked rom, it might be moved to other folder in Start->Program.
Great thanks! Just FYI to other readers: since gmail was the first midlet i installed (and i'm running ROMEOS latest which starts out with no midlets installed) then in the \windows\appdb folder there was only one suite file set to choose from (a bunch of files all starting with s1_). Thus, I created a link in the "\windows\start menu" folder with following line in the properties (including the quotation marks)
"\Windows\jbed.exe" -run appdb\s1_"
It worked! now when i click this item in the start menu, it brings up gmail. If only i could change the icon...
What about the signing problem? Whenever I refresh Gmail's inbox or try to send an email, it asks me if i'm okay with it being "untrusted". I've found other posts that explained how to use the native email client with Gmail, but I'd like to get the java gmail client to work without the repetitive questioning. How can we tell the phone to let the Gmail midlet do what it wants? (i know i know...i'll go read the wiki

Here's how to deal with the 'trust' issue with Gmail in Java from an article on pdaphonehome.com regarding the Opera Mini midlet. This works the same for the Gmail app.
Skipping the Connection Permission Prompt (Only applies to JBed)
One of the only negatives of using Jbed, over Jeodek, used to be that any time an application wanted to access to the Internet, Jbed would ask twice if you want to allow the action. It will also forget this permission next time you ran the application, so you would have to give permission every time you ran a Midlet that tried to access the Internet. Thanks to forum user g-funkster, a work around for this annoyance has been found!
1.) Copy the file \windows\appdb\selector.utf to your PC (make sure backup this file first in case something goes wrong!)
2.) Remove read-only attribute
3.) Open the file with a hex editor, and find the line
Code:
domain=untrusted, \
Replace the text untrusted with the text tckmax. Add space characters between the x (in tckmax) and the comma (otherwise connection warnings or a nullpointerexception error may occur). The above line may appear multiple times in the "selector.utf" file, each corresponds to a different Java Midlet you have installed in JBed.
Code:
domain=tckmax , \
If hex editing is too blackhat for you, g-funkster has created a desktop application that can do this for you automatically! You can find it here.

I used Notepad++ to edit the file and it worked perfectly.
