Camera Blur Gone - Simple Fix - Touch Pro, Fuze General

By simply changing the brightness level to -2.0 you will no longer have a blur - it's like changing the ISO on a camera and the FPS will jump by over 50%. check it out in full here: http://www.fuzemobility.com/decrease-the-blur-of-your-camera-really/

Very noice...I'm flashing a new rom and will try these when setup. Thanks

Agreed- It''s so freaking obvious once you think about it A simple change and suddenly the camera is functional...I'm just happy I can take photos of my son without that streak of his arm moving...

Man this camera and video camera is so much better now. It's pretty sad to say that this is getting almost as good of quality as my new Nikon Coolpix S550

perfect, just perfect

Thank you.

try to enable the frame rate (it's in the registry and detailed on the fuzemobility link in the first post) and tell me if you see a change in frame rate if you don't mind. It should be most significant in dim settings - bright light shouldn't have a blur without tweaks...

Thank you! This should be made sticky!

Camera Zoom FX is wicked good

I just purchased this app yesterday and after a whole day of testing I have to say that its worth every penny. I felt the need to create this thread because the stock camera app is close to worthless in any sub-par lighting condition, and that everyone should get this app for their phone.
Focus speed of this phone is pretty good. I dont feel that bad anymore about not getting ICS Not to mention a plethora of other features which are useful to both the practical and creative user.
One of the more noteworthy features is the "stable shot" mode where it utilizes your phones sensors to detect movement and therefore eliminate blurry/unfocused photos (It will only shoot when the phone is still for a set amount of time)
I just intend to share this info with everyone since I myself am very happy with this app, and its not like there are better alternatives out there in the market.
Ya u r right ... i think we should use zoom fx in place of stock camera since it has nice focus and pictures are cryspy. while the stock cam always had blurity
if you are going to review an app from market then please also share some example photos too.
example shot? here it is... with a dim light from a resto bar... ^^

As promised here are the photos http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150428497370818.385768.656605817&type=1&l=e5a6cf1173
let me know if you have any trouble viewing them.
I'll enumerate a few important details
- allows you to press anywhere on the screen to take a photo (no need to press that shutter button)
- no touch to focus, but auto focus and face detect is pretty reliable although I'm not sure how well it does with multiple faces
-stable shot; a feature that uses the phones sensors to take A photo only when your hand is somewhat stable for a set amount of time (sensitivity and time can be changed thru settings)
- macro actually allows you to
focus on close objects (stock app's macro was useless)
-burst mode
-voice (or clap) activated image taking
-time lapse (havent tested this extensively but a quick test implies it does what it says)
-front facing cam works (pics of me in blue)
-takes a bit longer to boot than stock app though so thats a negative, not to mention a random glitch where upon opening the app, all the lens see is black (like a non-functioning camera when flashing a rom). closing and re-opening the app fixes this.
Anyways I hope this will prove useful and instead of mouthing off any further I'll just let the pics speak for themselves. Please note I didnt include any blurry photos resulting from animals suddenly moving.
No animals were hurt in the making of this review

Improved Camera but bug with Flash exposure
Just updated my Xperia L to 4.2 and overall I'd say the camera is improved. Focusing is faster and low light pics without flash come
out very nice however there is an issue with flash exposure wherein all pics clicked with flash come out very under exposed even if exposure compensation is set at +1 or even +2 for that matter. The correct exposure is displayed in the viewfinder while composing but the saved image is severely under exposed. Have yet to discover any other bugs. Hope this bug is sorted out asap.

I'm disappointed that the status bar toggles are still like they were in 4.1, I wanted like they're in 4.2 AOSP.

HOLY #$%^ a video camera that does INFINITY focus!

If know how sucky it is to take action shots with the G2 and have it constantly hunting for focus ...
You would pay a million bazzillion freeking dollars for this app:
Open Camera
No it's not my app. I found it on F-Droid apps and then also discovered it is on Play store:
100% Free (unless you are inspired to but the paid donate cheap app too)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera
EDIT: see my post below a few comments down
OMG!! Seriously glad be cause this is the only good camera app I have found that allows video with infinity focus for video on LG G2.
What is INFINITY focus? Well, pretty much everything past 2 meters is infinity. This will work well if panning a video shot of your buddy passing on the ski trail or mountain bike trail or for any panning shots that confuse the G2.
Thought you would all want to know.
Nice find, thanks for sharing

Except, A Better Camera, in infinity mode, retains the last held focus. In other words,
..
..
..
..
..
..
I does not work properly!!!!!
Try this:
1) Put it in Continuous Focus mode in Video mode.
2) Focus on something as close as possible.
3) Without moving camera, put in Infinity focus.
4) Take Video and slowly move away and look to the distance.
Bzzzzttt. It fails.
But then I tried the Open Camera...
Even worse, it also fails!
So ... both work as long as camera is first focussed on a distant object and then switched to Infinity mode. They should both rename it to 'Last Exposure Lock' mode!!!

I really miss fixed focus in video coming from a sammy device, but as a solution i found the camera awesome app, where you can lock focus and exposure even in video, but ofcourse you lose the video modes of the stock camera. And is not free. But i haven't found a solution for the terrible sound of the mic

Maybe you missed the part about this thread being for cameras that use a true 'Infinity' mode.
The camera app link you posted is for another one that does not truly use a proper Infinity mode. Do the test I posted above and you will see that!

That's right. It does not exist. The only way to get the similar effect is as posted in 2nd comment: focus, then set to infinity.
Shame ... because Android camera programmer interface does come with Hyperfocal fixed focus setting that would be good for anything from 2 metres to unlimited.
Hoping someone makes a convenient button to activate that soon.

There are another options, as the OPO cam that has been ported to many devices, or the Cyanogen Camera, that it's which I have been using till now. That last is very good, it has many options to configure, including HDR and Slow-Mo video recording in HD. It's in another thread of xda.

I flashed the one from here (ver 5.8 ) and its working great, with very good picture quality (i would say its like stock miui camera, only some options dont work). What i find very cool is the "moving people" Option. It realy takes clear pictures, even if someone is moving fast (good when you have a little child, which never stands still ). With this Option i get shuttertimes faster than 1/300 sec.
I only miss the HDR PRO Option from miui camera.
Thanks @ekkilm for the tip and the link in your forum on your Website

Thanks, I was on 3.6 and thought I'll try 5.8 and I can confirm the shutter speed is definitely faster than 3.6 so I'm happy with that. Which rom you on now?
After a few tests, indoor at lowlight, miui takes clearer photos I.e. better focused.
I'll try this when I try cm at some point but I'm still hoping for a miui camera port.

Can somebody port Xperia Z4 camera?
I would also donate 20$ via Paypal for the port.
It's not about the handling/design of the MIUI camera app. It's more about the (probably closed-source) libraries to use all features of the Sony camera/lense and to get the best picture quality.

thanks for recommendation
for me it's far better than MIUI or lenovo super camera, as it doesn't use so aggressive noise reduction which is especially visible at higher ISO levels - for me, MIUI camera smears away way too much detail.
also, the shutter speed seems very good
_________
EDIT: a bug found!
after you run oppo camera, all camera apps use only warmer flash, the colder one stays off, some camera apps don't enable the flashlight at all (even if you force the flash) - like CameraMX. only the system torch works properly
can't tell what's the reason, but as soon as you uninstall the oppo camera app, both leds return to normal work

Maybe you could point us in a direction where we can get the plugins? They have been taken down due to DMCA claim.
Opo cam is not that good. some plugins crash the app, overall it is not as good as Cyanogen Camera imo. Are there any other good alternatives?
And yes, would be nice if miui cam got ported.
Full Potential
I was looking through some files from the EU weekly ROM and found some interesting files. As you can see in the image there is files in system/vendor/lib such as imx258_HFR_120. HFR stands for high frame rate and 120 suggests 120fps recording while the stock camera app for me seems to record at about 49 fps at 720p. The specifications of the camera sensor found here: http://www.sony.net/Products/SC-HP/IS/sensor1/img/products/ProductBrief_IMX258_20151015.pdf say the sensor is capable of 1080p at 60fps. Can someone please try unlock the full potential of our camera?

Isn't it used for the slow motion? The full HD is indeed consistent at 29-30 fps and 4K videos are nearly half of it, not sure about 720p though.
That's what I mean, I only get 49fps at slow motion and other camera apps can't record at higher than 30fps.
i'm using cm and i miss a feature from my previous smiui.
in smiui i could take pics while pressing volume down.
i like to take a quick photo without wasting time.
i looked around and just found those spy stuff things but nothing like the miui feature.
would it be possible to port this with the original camera ?
i would also donate some money (10€ or more) for a port of these features.

What Camera App for Night sky Pictures / Long Exposure Pictures ?

Hey Folks!
I've seen many pictures of people who shot great night sky pictures with a looong exposure time with their S7!
Since I moved to Lineage OS 14.1 I am missing this feature a lot. Is there a App that does a good job for long exposure pictures?
I am using Google Camera with HDR+ but this App does not seem to give me the chance to take good night sky pictures.
Any thought about this?
Thanks in advance!
Just use the stock camera application. Enable pro mode and then set low iso and small shutter speed.

I am not using the TouchWhiz Android, but LineageOS. Therefore the stock Samsung Apps are not available.
I was hoping someone knows a good camera that does a good job. Google Camera does not seem to have a "long exposure"-feature for night sky pics...

No worries man, thanks for your help anyway!
I am surprised nobody else seems to try to take long exposure pictures with LineageOs...
Try taking system/etc/remissions and copying it to lineage and then unpacking to system zero camera mod. May work
