AOL MyMobile BETA Download

Finally AOL got tornado back in business. Please note, I am including 2 cabs. One is for Tornado WM5, the other for WM6. They are not compatible with each other. So install the correct one for your version of WinMobile. Or you can download direct from AOL. Do notice that AOL website does not recognize T-Mobile SDA(tornado) as WM6, so if you download direct, it will download the WM5 which will freez you up.

Install "AOL MyMobile BETA" on device Memory.
After days testing this nice software I can add some notes:
It must be installed on Device Memory, not on SD card. At first it installs and works fine from SD card. But after first restart of phone, it will give error:
"An unexpected error has occurred in AEMAP.EXE. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information"
This error won't go away even if you uninstall and reinstall AOL MyMobile Beta. You would need to uninstall, and re-install, but install to Device Memory. Then it continues working w/o a problem.
Also, some of the Icons/Applications on the Horizontally Scrollable Menu, can be removed from the settings menu on the AOL HOME. I thought that was a sweet feature, not to force us to have what they want.
Regarding E-Mail, links are clicable, they open in IE. Attachments are listed, but can't open them. I tried with a PPS and a DOC.
I still don't understand the purpose of saving multiple locations to the Favorite Locations. I thought it would give us the option to switch weather view from one location to the other, but it wasn't so.
BUGS:
When in typing in a conversation and the program does a refresh of the window, It stops the typing. You'll end up using backspace to erase unwanted characters.
There is some sort of refresh happening, as while running the software, you'll see the Win Spinning icon, but at least for the AIM part, it doesn't refresh your contact list. However there is a Refresh option in the menu.
I couldn't find a place on the software to report bugs, suggestions, feedback, etc.

Warning: No AOL MyMobile for WM6.1
You can't download this from AOL if you have updated your device to wm6.1 as AOL's site doesn't recognize it as a supported device.
Save the cab on your PC's hard drive (or storage card) if you plan to upgrade to 6.1

Ghost mailbox in manila mail tab

Hello everybody !
I have a strange issue on my touch pro. I have réinstalled a backup made before a hard reset and now in the mail tab (TF3D) I get a ghost mailbox. I can see the mails when I swap them but if I try to open one, nothing appends, same thing if I try a "send/receive".
If I use the "More" button it shows the mailboxes list instead of the inbox folder corresponding.
The mailbox doesn't appears in the "account" menu that's why I haven't succeded in deleting it.
Apparently there is nothing about this mailbox in my register nor in the phone files (I've made a plain text search) so I suspect manila to have made a rendered graphical mailbox for showing in the tab. I'm not sure about it but that's how it looks like to me.
Any confirmation about how manila deals with those animated cards ?
Maybe a file in a manila config folder to erase? But what folder ?
This is not a major issue but it's very annoying to have this fake box glued in my list.

Not worked
I made a new backup before erasing the cemail.vol. All worked fine until I reinstalled the backup, after what the ghost mailbox reappeared !
When creating the backup I can't specify which mailbox to backup, so how can I do (I use SPB backup)? I have imap mail accounts so I yet know a solution : to backup only my sms/mms without the mail and resynchronise my boxes with the server.
But we can also try to find a solution that works for pop accounts users too.
So anyone knows a way to edit this cemail.vol ?

Help: Phantom e-mail account after Sprite restore

My AT&T Fuze display broke the other day. I managed to use MyMobiler to access the phone and back up (using Sprite Backup), and restore the backup on the new phone. The restore worked great, however, I now have a e-mail account on my e-mail tab that I cannot access to remove. If I go to my accounts, the account is not listed, so I cannot delete it. I also cannot access the inbox of the account.
Does anyone know how to remove this phantom account. It is a file or registry setting?

There is always a "phantom" one there, it is for outlook.
P.S. Good job with the my mobiler, you obviously searched unlike most noobs.

You can get rid of it on your tf3d by connecting to you're computer via active sync, and unchecking the email box for what to sync.

I may not have explained this properly.
I am not referring to the Outlook default mail account.
On my old Fuze, I had an account setup to get my GMail. This worked great. When I backed up and restored on my new Fuze, this GMail account was still listed on the Mail tab, but I am unable to open the mailbox and this account is no longer listed under my mail accounts.
Any suggestions?

I've got the same issue. My 1st fuze got swapped out for a power issue it had. Did a full backup and restore with Sprite. The restore did NOT setup my alternate IMAP gmail accounts I had configured on the 1st one ... but I have the ghosts of them in TF3D tab. I can see all the accounts, and even flick through the email that was on the original unit at the time of the backup.
I've setup the accounts manually again, but now I have duplicate account appearances on the TF3D screen.
I tried reinstalling the Manila cab.
Tried removing, rebooting and re-adding the Email tab with Diamond TF3D config too. No effect.
Can't find any specific references in the registry for the email tab.

You need to delete cemail.vol. The file is locked while the phone is on, so you'll need to use Mortscript to delete it on boot.

Though the article states it will delete all data, it didn't on my device. I was able to see my ghost IMAP account that would show up on the TF3D tab, but not in the messaging app itself.

I have the same exact issue.. except I am using Sbp Backup ... but I think I'll try deleting the cemail.vol

I was also having a problem with 2 phantom email accounts in TF2D email tab after a backup - they were not shown in the accounts menu.
I used SKTools (Full Version) to scan all PIM information (actual heading 'Delete PIM information') which showed all accounts - highlight the phantom account/s, and then select 'delete account' from the action button.
All fixed - thanks all for the push in the right direction.

I am having the same phantom gmail account from a sprite backup on the fuze after getting rid of att bloat. I wish there was an easier way.

There is an easier way
Unzip the attached file to your device and run it. It will enumerate all accounts, even the hidden ones. You can choose to delete them or change settings. Whatever you need.

not working for me
Not sure what I am missing, but I see no option for deleting an account, only Repair, from the Feb 3 09 mailAccountRepair attachment. When the "busy circle" starts after selecting Repair, it does not finish (at least in 30 sec). Whether I Quit or not before soft reset, no changes are present. Any help appreciated.

I had the same issue you're having, after exchanging my first Fuze out due to a problematic screen. When I restored the backup on to my new Fuze, I had the same ghost accounts. What I simply did was a hard reset, then when I ran Sprite I deselected the box that restores backed up emails. The restore went without a hitch, then I went into outlook and simply recreated my email accounts. After a couple minutes, I had all the email back.
Easiest way? Prolly not, but it worked for me.

Favorite contacts no longer works??

Help...I have successfully made the performance tweeks to my stock Fuze but suddenly, literally overnight with no software changes or tweeks have this issue:
When I choose the icon for "Favorite Contacts" from the TF taskbar, the TF3D interface restarts. At first it ask if I wanted to send an error report about Manila; now it just restarts TF. It was working fine and I only noticed it because a picture had disappeared from a contact there and after I readded the pic I went to Favorites to check to see if restored. I literally made no changes, tweeks, software adds since last working. The only thing I did was sync my contacts & calendars to my Mac. Any chance on permissions or such changed in Contacts database since I assume that is what favorites draws from? What is the executable that runs for the Favorite Contact app?

Windows Mobile 6.5 Imap Folders

I was doing some googling and this is as good a place as any to find users who have a clue.. so Im wondering if anyone has had this problem or a workaround.
I have a SE X1 (winmo 6.1) I configured my imap mail perfectly, but the only folders my device download from is the Inbox. I have other folders that I use to sort mail into (via mail rules on my desktop).. which are not downloading mail at all. I can see them listed, but they all show empty.
I was hoping this would be fixed in winmo 6.5, so I upgraded my X1 to 6.5 and the problem still exists. Has anyone else managed a workaround to synce other folders.. to clarify in the diagram below .. is an example of my structure .. in the example I am not getting mail in my client 1 or client 2 folder
Imap - Inbox
- Sent
- Client 1
- Client 2
- etc...

Furthermore, the folders of my pocket outlook, like "sent messages" are created in my web mail account (like yahoo), because the name of theses folders (sent, trash...) are not the same.

Sync other folder
You can sync any folder you wish by selecting it as a managed folder. To do so follow these steps.
1. Open your mail box.
2. Click the options button and select Tools
3. Select Managed folders
4. Select each folder you wish to sync then click ok
The next time you send and receive mail the folder will be synchronized.
I had this same problem and just recently discovered this solution. In my case I would send a message from my Yahoo email account and although it would tell me it was sent, I would have no verification after the fact. It was not listed on my device in the sent folder nor was it listed via the website in the sent folder. I had to send a test to another one of my email accounts to verify the send funciton was actually working.
PLEASE NOTE: You should make sure your sent folder is fairly clean before syncing. I did not clean it first and it had to sync over 300 messages from that one folder.

I have tried this, but it appears that only allows the sync via activesync and not via the normal internet connection (ie when you are not connected to your pc) .. am I missing something ?

This is the way to do it on Win MO 6.1 - I have this set up on Blackstone.
Unfortunately on HD2 (6.5) I can not find Tools and manage folders choice.
Anybody knows where it is hidden?

Before someone else spends hours looking - Disable Sense, go to win standard GUI - all settings are there. Same thing with repeat sound in alarm.... GUI is hiding settings!!!!

I think you'll find that the option is there, it's just not immediately obvious that one needs to scroll down.
From your home tab, do the following:
Email tab
Inbox (left soft key)
Menu
At this stage it APPEARS that 'Go to >' is the last menu item. It actually isn't. If you scroll down you will reveal 'Tools' 'Select Messages' and 'Send via Bluetooth' .
'Manage folders' is in the 'Tools' sub menu.
No need to disable Sense.

You sure? For me it worked this way (same problem). I've not even activated email-syncing via ActiveSync.

Cannot download messages from server over IMAP

I would like to ask you for some help because I cannot find a solution to my problem and I really appreciate your expertise.
So, here is the problem:
Facts.
I have 2 email accounts:
- the main business account running on a IceWarp Merak 9.x server
- a personal account running on Gmail server.
Problem.
If I receive on both addresses (servers) the same html e-mail witch contains formatted text and pictures, then using the native e-mail messaging client of my Windows Mobile 6.5 HTC smartphone, here is what I get:
- on the main business account the message cannot be seen. What I see from the message is only BODY.PEEK[2]
- on the Gmail account I can see the full message, exactly as I can see it on my desktop.
I played with all the settings from „Message download limit” and „Download attachments„ for the main business account, in order to get it working. Here is what I found:
- any settings for „Download attachments„ does not change the behavior, the result is the same (BODY.PEEK[2])
- for „Message download limit” if I choose „Headers only”, download headers and then mark the message for download it is working. But this means that I should connect twice – more bandwidth and more time spent until get the messages. If I choose any other option except the above mentioned, I get the bad result BODY.PEEK[2]...
This problem is very annoying because I cannot read my business mails if I'm out of the office.
What do you think?

Or the native messaging client from Windows Mobile 6.5?
Can you help me to solve this problem?
