The sidekick vibrated when internet loading pages were done.
Is there a cab floating around to trigger a vibrate when PIE or opera is "finished" loading?
Thanks, dying to know...
the operation system only got the events to respond to you find in alarms and nonfictions
so if you don't find it there wm can't do it
but maybe the browser can do it you can look around it's settings
and maybe look at other browsers to see if they support this functionality
Thanks, I get most of what you are saying. I will leave the question open as I understand what you said but am holding out hope someone has the info for me.

I have a really annoying issue. Every time I open an email or text on my HTC Kaiser, it opens it half way down the message.
I can not get it to open at the top of the message so I can see the header and first line.
any Ideas?
Turn off smooth scrolling in PocketIE.
You must have turned it on through one of the tweak programs.
Tweaks2k2 or SKTools can do it.
this behavior started happening for me too. it would seem to have been at the time I installed "Kaiser Tweak". but the application doesn't let you control smooth scrolling in PIE?
rob_pinnington - what worked for you?
edit - ok nevermind in Kaiser Tweak it's 'D pad navigation' that did it.
weird.
My touch cruise has developed a small problem in that it keeps disabling the text message notifications on it's own! I keep turning it on under sounds and notifications and selecting the play sound checkbox, but then it keeps disabling all by itself. I have SPB Mobile shell, time and phone suite installed as I prefer the functionality of these over HTC's home screen, but I have disabled the profiles option of phone suite as I thought this might be causing my problem, but it's still happening.s there anything else I'm missing?
If anyone knows the answer to this I would be grateful also as I loose the new SMS alert tone also approx once every other day and have to manually re-tick the box.
Currently using Ultimate launch as my today screen.
If it is recent have you installed the opera mobile 9.5 beta one as a known issue with it is that it disables text/reminder/email notifications

Funnily enough I have, well thats Opera coming back off then, didn't use it much anyway.
Cheers
Yep, I have as well. Oh well it'll have to go for now. Shame as I really like it as a browser! I'll wait till the full release is out!
Thanks for the solution though!
This is not a fix to get the drop down box working like in winmo 6.1/6.5 but it is a fix to be able to launch the task manager from nearly anywhere without having to launch the anything. I thought that it'd be great if I could write a program that let you gesture from anywhere in the phone to launch an app. But I don't have the skill and with every great idea I have someone has already thought of it. So I google searched and got an answer.
The program is called, FTouchSL, I am running the trail version currently but it costs 10 Euro. So about +/- $15. I like it so far and it works great. (You can find the older 'Free' Beta versions by searching.)
What this does is allow you to set 'gestures' and gesture areas that will allow you to launch any program you want, almost anywhere in your phone. For instance, I have mine set up to use two gesture motions to do 2 different thnings.
The first is, up and left, which launches "Showcase" those of you with Shadoline's latest ROMs will know that this is a new task manager. (I think from HTC. I'm not sure) I love this cause now I can access the task manager without leaving the current program im in. No wasted time. I can also easily go back to a proggram I previously had open whilst I'm in another. Say I wan't to go back to Opera after reading a txt message. Do the swipe, taskman opens and bam back to Opera. No need to got find it in the start menue or the home screen.
The second gesture I have set up is, up and right, which minimizes the program. I love that I could set it to minimize because it's just convinient. Lets say I get a txt and I'm in Opera. We all know (Those with 6.5.1) that you have to click the tab, then the main menue button, then exit then yes. Well the problem with this is that Opera is now shut down all the way. Sure you could hit the end button but makng a gesture is so much more... well.... Magical!
I may add a, Down and Right, motion to send me to my txt messages since clicking on the task bar only lets you see the message and not actually go to it. There are a total of 8 gestures that can be set up and 4 'Hot Corner' buttons.
A Warning - You may have to play with the settings a bit to get this to work right for you. I suggest making the bottom gesture area taller than the Manila Tabs if your using manila or higher than the bottom bar if not. And start the gesture above the Tabs or Bottom bar. For the left and right areas I founf that 80px works well. and set the Delay to 2000 ms or more if you want to. Or else you will have to be very quick about makeing the gesture.
I've mostly given up on browsing cause of the stupid ALWAYS ROTATE s*it the shove up our throat just 'case the iStuff has it. Even they put a rotation lock on the iPad.
If someone knows of a way to turn it off, please help!
I've already tried all the recommended stuff, most of it worked on 9.7, but nothing for the 10.
I tried the usual:
deleted opera from htc gsensor list
added the ideltime=100000000 registry string
searched and deleted anything remotely connected to it in the registry
I can't grasp why is it so hard to put an option for it in Opera???
I'm also willing to completely disable the gsensor.
IIRC I tried turning it off (in the HTC settings) in an older rom, but Opera still auto-rotated. Seems it only affected HTC apps
Have a look on my sig link
Hope over there you find your fix

If you're referring to the Opera thread, it didn't help much. I posted the question there multiple times in the last year, and got no solution.
Shame to hear that, perhaps if you PM one of the masters over there, like lesscro
Hope you find your solution

Actually, I don't believe I will. I've been look for a year for a solution, and still nothing. Even posted on the official Opera forums, still no replies.
I guess no body uses their phone for much browsing.
I did find a lousy workaround:
start Opera
press home button
position the phone at an comfortable angle
go back to Opera
hold the phone in that position
If you hold the phone still enough, it won't trip the darned auto-rotation.
Uncomfortable but kinda works.
The other one is to slide the keyboard out and use it in landscape mode, but that's even worse.
Opera 9.7
I had the issue wth Opera 9.7 as well, tried changing the registry etc. without success...
And solved with the help of BSB Tweaks 1.61.
1. Run Bsb tweaks.
2. Menu -> rotation
3. Select (check) Opera (opera_mainWndClass)
4. Options -> Rotation status -> disabled
5. Close -> Exit
6. Soft Reset
Other things such as album rotates, but opera doesn't.
Hope this helps.
It seems to be a pop up in the Samsung Browser that randomly happens. Ive made it a point to try and take a screenshot if it comes up before it dissappears to post on here.
Its completely random and doesnt happen all the time. It changes its subject also not always being the same thing. It slides in for a few seconds from the mid left side then slides back out to the same mid side. Ive been searching for hours to try and figure what it is amd how to disable it… .but i dont know what im exactly looking for on what its called and whats causing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
UPDATE UPDATE… IT WAS NOT THE BROWSER. THE KEYBOARD THAT I USE HAS A NEW FEATURE OF SENTANCE PRODICTION. I TURNED IT OFF.
MODS PLEASE DELETE THREAD.
Why not delete the browser entirely? There are a number of better browser options.
Actually the Samsung browser is pretty good now as it has improved a lot over time. One nice thing about it is if you use DEX, it will automatically detect you are in desktop mode and adjust the browser to full desktop mode. On you phones screen it defaults to mobile mode.
