Magician keeps rebooting and hard resets - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Hi everyone -
I have a problem with my O2 mini and was hoping for some advise. Problem is it keeps rebooting and hard resets by itself - spontaneously. By the time I wrote this thread, it had done that almost 7 times (that's about 7 hard resets without me touching anything!). There is no specific pattern or way to tell why it is happening since it occurs randomly.
I haven't used it for quite some time (a couple of months maybe), but I usually charge it from time to time - just to keep it alive.
Can someone please advise what's the next thing to do, besides sending it to service center? Are there any way that I can refer to troubleshoot?
Appreciate the help. Thanks!

Is the battery working well? May be some hardware problem. Try to install windows again???If it is software problem, then new installation should solve the problem.

It must be a loose contact, it's not normal at all.

Randomly shuts off

Hey,
in the past couple of days my phone has just randomly shut off while I was using it (e-mailng). The screen will go blank and the green LED will stop blinking. I'm using HTCs latest room.
I called HTC support and they say I should send it in. Has anyone dealt with HTC repairs yet? I don't really feel like sending my phone in and then they can't do anything. I'm dependent on it.
Did anyone experience the same thing their phone? (random shut offs while using, not windows freezing)
Thanks,
My advice is dont send it in.
I had the same problem and i got it solved with a hard reset.
And while i was at resetting i though i'd upgrade to Gonzo's WM 6.1
Just do a hard reset or install gonzo's rom and you'll be fine.
Hi there, same problem here. Getting very annoying to type a message or try to dial a number and the damn thing shuts off. Doesnt happen all the time, maybe once a day or every other day. Have a updates skin on it from fireburned, not sure if that has any effect on it. On doing a hard reset, what will be lost on the phone so I know what to save first.
Hey There,
I have the same problem, I find it turns off in the middle of my calls. I think it might have something to do with the battery, because it doesn't seem to do it when it's plugged into a charger. I upgraded to Dr. Gonzo's WM 6.1, but that didn't fix the problem. Still happy that I upgraded though. Does any one have an idea of what's wrong?
I had the same problem, and tried several roms. Nothing helped. Then I flashed, so I had the newest radio etc. but that didnt help either...
I tried for a time not to install anything at all, but that didnt help, therefore I send it in to the repair shop. All they did was to hard reset it and send it back. Then I send it back and then they replaced the mainboard, and after that it works perfect...
But...
It might happend to your phone if you clock it to faster speeds. - But if your phone goes black without you installing any software then send it in.
if you hard reset, you will lose all your data, and you are going to restore all the settings to default
going to lose sms, mms, emial and stuff,
search somewhere in the forum , i've seen somewhere a great backup program but cant remember the name, you should try using it before hard reseting
cheers

Hi all! Thanks for reading! How can I cook a ROM?

Hi! I have a HTC p3300. I am having trouble with it. I had WM5 and installed WM6 to try to solve the problem, it kept blocking and stoping, but neither that, even installed in Bootloader mode, solve my problem, at least for now.
Sometimes I have to format the mobile 2, 3 and 4 times a day (any suggestions would be appreciated) and, since I have to do that, I always need to install all my software, well, 3 or 4 programs, and to resetup all the device. My question here is, can I, in some way, create an image of the ROM after all these installations, just to avoid myself all those time consuming operations? I am tired and tired of doing the same thing all day. I am tired of having the same blue screen, well, white, MS-DOS style, saying that the device wasn't properly shut down, to press yes or no, and then it starts formating itself... Please, some help. I intent to send it to repair, at least to check how much do the mobile store asks me for the repair, and, after that, consider if it is worth or not, but, since I like the mobile so much, I really, really, really would like some advice on it.
The very same moment that I write this I am completely MAD with it because I was finishing one of the plenty formating sessions I do everyday and it gave the same problem, blocking itself, stoping itself (sorry, can't specify with an even exact word) when rebooting so that the Regional settings took effect.
I am tired, at this time, 4h25 in the morning in Portugal, have classes at 10h. Need to set the alarm to wake up in the morning, and really, really, really hope and expect some help from a lot of you guys.
Wait, the word for what happens to the mobile is FREEZE! Damn vocabulary at this time of the day...
My question was «How can I cook a ROM», but, since I have never did it before, any other preferable solution is also welcome. In fact, any other solution easier for me to do is a lot welcome. Anyway, if not, any help will be appreciated by itself.
Thanks for reading, at least, and I will be eagger waiting for that help.

P.s.- Just by the way... Does also any of you know how to really «crack» the TomTom Navigator? It was cracked when I bought the mobile, but, after formating it once, lost the way how to do it, because the first time wasn't done by me, but the previous owner. If possible, help to this question also appreciated. Thanks!
P.p.s.- Mobile just went dead for all those formats! Any advice? Now, even in bootloader mode it just checks for the card contents and freezes in the big RGB screen... No idea! I guess that its time has come... Did it really died? Any help, please!

How can I disable Sprint hands-free-activation after boot??

How can I disable Sprint hands-free-activation after boot??
every time I boot ot hard reset I get this message of trying to activate then fail
how can I stop this from starting
thanks
What exactly is sprint hands free activation? I'm on sprint & I've never heard of this. But check your startup folder & see if that program is in there.
Hi,
Same thing here. I bought an unlocked sprint phone. I'm using it on another carrier. Each time I make a soft reset it boots up, starts Flow 3D, and then launches a screen with the title Sprint hands-free-activation.
Because I am on another carrier it can't connect, so after a minute or so, it displays an error message, with the instruction that if you want to reattempt connection you should go to All settings => System => Update Profile
In my startup folder I got the following items:
\Windows\BTTrayCE.exe
\Windows\HTCStartUp.exe
\Program Files\S2U2\iLock2.exe
\Windows\PKG.exe
poutlook.exe
\windows\voicecmd.exe
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
Sorry for bumping a really old thread here, but I'm having troubles with this as well. Any ideas?
Thanks.

This came up for the first time for me last week. My phone kept on rebooting and then attempting "hands free activation". Eventually my phone told me that it had attempted too many times and that I needed to do hard reset it. I am using the stock wm 6.5 with sense and had not installed any new apps in months. It started while driving and using google maps. If I hit "cancel" while hands free activation is attempting i am able to regain control of my phone but it was sluggish. I was not able to find a fix and eventually I hard reset my phone and the problem went away.
I had this problem after I provisioned my Telus phone using the Sprint setting by accident after flashing a custom rom.
After a bunch of searching I found that going into the registry and deleting HKLM\Services\LaunchOMC the pop up never came back again.
I don't know if it has any adverse effects if you are actually on the Sprint network but it worked for me anyways.
Other then that the only thing I found that would fix the problem is a hard reset.
Here's the threads that pointed me in the right direction.

Ironically, a hard reset never fixed it for me. I have thought that it might be because I am on Boost Mobile and my configuration and information might be a bit different.

I probably should've told ya'all this last week, but I might have found a fix for the problem: In Caulkin's/OMJ's/OAT's Kitchen, uncheck "carrier - sprint", and select the "Carrier - Generic" instead. I've been running for the last few days now like that and have had zero problems with this, and I think I have finally escaped the elusive "hand free activation problem. And no, this is not an April first joke either.

Same problems here. Sprint cdma touch pro 2 with stock ROM.
I would find the phone keeps shutting itself off.
Finally able to do backup of contacts and hard reset. Restore contacts and lost all my text messages. Also lost all addresses with-in the contacts.
Hopefully this last.
GOOD LUCK Reply

If a hard reset doesn't help, you'll need to try to either make that adjustment in the kitchen that I was talking about earlier, or try that registry tweak. I've flashed more ROMs that I had cared to have counted to my Diamond (the equivalent of a hard reset every time), and it never fixed it for me. Hopefully you have better luck though.

[Q] 1+1 wiked problem

Hi there all!
So my 1+1 is freshlly bought a few months ago and did not make any problems up til now when suddenlly my market apps(such as shazam) suddenly disappeared from my phone. Apart from this when i try to go on the market and download them i get an UNKNOWN ERROR. Adding a little bit more extra to this case is the fact that i tryed to restart it with no success then i have decided to factory reset the phone. Done this and when I start the phone up nothing has changed and my middle digital capacitor is not working.
Any one else had this problem, or maybe someone could advise me on how to fix this issue?
Best regards,
Vuk!

Need serious help please!

Hey!
So I have been using an android phone from 3 years now and I have been stuck in an huge problem! And I need your help in order to solve this problem. Here is the problem so basically I have a Freetel nico (Japanese brand) which is about 3 to 4 years now running on top of stock kitkat rom or in other words the same rom when I unboxed it. After few months my screen cracked on the bottom near the capacitive touch keys. After the crack the home buttom stopped working! I was all okay with that and the next day my notification panel started glitching and stopped showing any notifications which was really annoying. Now I knew that there some serious problem, so I taught of resetting the phone so I went in the setting and tried factory reset. After few minutes it didn't go to system recovery but the phone just restarted itself. I tried it once again and got the same problem, next step I had was to hard reset it by going into the recovery. When I hold the button and let go it didn't take me to the recovery this time also. So in conclusion I came to know that there was no recovery inside the phone (I did erase the phone through recover about 2 times before this incident everything went well during that time). Moving on I rooted the phone and installed SuperSU and other softwares that could install recovery mode to the phone. I got the same result this time also, I also tried installing a different rom through the stock system update app same result.... After a year of all this work I taught it would be best just giving it to the company service center but I came to know that the company had no longer selling this device and there is no service available .
After all of that tries above I still continued to solve this problem I tried ADB resetting it through pc no luck here also! So if you guys could recommend me some apps or softwares I could try in order to reset my phone please do let me know in the comments. Or you could also ask any scripts that you want to know from the phone which could solve the problem I can do that also!
Thank you
Darshan
