All of a sudden the top power button on my Touch pro won't work! The backlight just stays on all the time. Anyone have this problem?
I do have Mobile Shell installed and installed it about a week ago, but all of a sudden this just happened...
I have performed several soft resets to no avail.
Thanks!

Hi,
It's happened to me twice in the first week already.
TouchFlo 3D 1.2.34591.1_1813.6
Crashed once on startup, and distored the whole screen. Have to do a soft reset.
It crashed again just then, on wake up there is an error about Manila (I believe that's the TouchFlo program name), then it distorted the whole screen again.
Has anyone had this problem?
Could this be a hardware problem?
Cheers

i have the same problem!
I have the same problem too, although it happened to me only once. It had been charging all night and when I turned it on (still on the charger) the screen was distorted. The white leds around the dial were permanently lit.
I didn't get an error message. No button worked, including the standby button. I had to remove the battery to shut the device down. Anyone else with this problem?
Me too:
first time with ship wwe rom from the box
second and third with RUU_Raphael_HTC_WWE_1.90.405.1_Radio_Signed_Raphael_CRC_52.33.25.17_1.02.25.19_Ship.exe (this one is little better than original ship)
Usually the device crash after 1 or 2 days without soft resets
Same thing here with WWE_1.90.405.1!!!
Hi,
I'm experiencing a strange problem with my Tornado (i-mate SP5, WM6 Platinum Edition). Today it stopped working suddenly, I had to remove the battery. When rebooting, the i-mate sceen appears, then the HTC logo, then Nitrogenius' splashscreen, then a beep sounds, and afterwards the screen is black and nothing happens, no keys are responding. I can "switch off" the phone by long pressing of the power key. Reset with pressing the 2 soft keys and the starting key does not work, the phone starts until the splashscreen and afterwards the screen goes black. Strangely I can connect the phone with activesync, synchronize contacts and calendar and even explore the device with activesync's filemanager; and the battery is charging, too.
Any suggestions except reflashing?
Regards

Thanks for the hint, I tried, but unfortunately I seem to miss something. Could you elaborate a bit how you managed to switch on backlight.
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: It worked! You made my day!
After pressing the keys you mentioned (and some others, too) and after rebooting again the backlight is on again. Thanks a lot!
I met the same problem in many cases and I found the culprit, it is tornadolowlight or tornadopowercontrol. while these appli are activating if I soft reset or by force restart (removing battery) then next startup will get a blank screen. But actually in this case the device is on and working only thing is its backlight is off. So, by using a torch light or simply using MyMobiler from a pc you can see the screen, and start that culprit appli then done
OR another thing I have done is I put shortkey for MultiFlashLight and whenever such situation happened I just press the shortkey and activated it and done
Hi everyone,
My One S' screen has suddenly stopped responding to any touch. I've been running CM 11 M8 for almost 2 weeks.
The phone rebooted and after the reboot, the screen has stopped responding to any touch. The hardware buttons still work along with the soft keys. I tried clearing cache/wiping data/flashing another ROM but nothing seems to be solving the issue.
What are some other things I could try to fix this?
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks a lot.

I just got the same issue, have tried factory reset, changed from stock to CyanogenMod (stable 10.2) and nothing's worked... It was working yesterday normally, performed a reset (via the options menu) to sell the phone, after reboot it stopped working. Has someone found the solution to this issue?
Dear all,
Need help! I have bought my lg vs980 1 month ago and it was working fine until yesterday, I was transferring music from pc and after a while found out that my phone screen went black and unresponsive, however I still can see the task bar in the top and a buttons line in the bottom. Tried to restart by pressing and holding power button for 8sec. but again it boots normally and after ~ 15sec goes black or freeze (if I managed to open smthing ) and unresponsive. Also tried to do the same things without sim card, same problem. Please help??
Phone is completely stock, unrooted.
Using it in Global mode.
A few days ago, my home button bugged out and started having ghost touches...some times a few times a second. I reflashed my rom and it started working again.
Just this morning, all the buttons stopped working. What can I do? Is the phone completely broken?
