Dear all,
Need help! I have bought my lg vs980 1 month ago and it was working fine until yesterday, I was transferring music from pc and after a while found out that my phone screen went black and unresponsive, however I still can see the task bar in the top and a buttons line in the bottom. Tried to restart by pressing and holding power button for 8sec. but again it boots normally and after ~ 15sec goes black or freeze (if I managed to open smthing ) and unresponsive. Also tried to do the same things without sim card, same problem. Please help??
Phone is completely stock, unrooted.
Using it in Global mode.

Hey all i am really new to this and run into a major problem. I rooted my phone with superoneclick and installed a ROM from SGS tools for my samsung captivate. When it would enter into the recovery screen it would not show the usual options but instead a screen of what looked like a pixelated mess. Once the phone started i went to restore to factory settings and now when the phone starts up I see the AT&T logo then it goes to a black screen where it stays there forever. Did i manage to screw up my phone? any help is greatly appreciated.
ok, I finally turned the phone off and left it overnight. The phone does start and work like it should. The only thing is that once you try to go to the recovery mode and the phone does its thing, I am brought to a screen that is half snowy (like the television when you dont get a certain channel) and the other half with lines of red, green, and blue. From here I cannot tell what is going on when I use the volume key to go up or down. Then with a double click of the power button the phone just restarts normally.
Guys, I had bought options 3d about 11 months back. It was already rooted and had custom recovery installed. It was on 2.3. After sparingly using it for a couple of months. I gave it to my brother in law. He used it for a about 2-3 months.
One day while he was trying to watch some video through whatsapp, the phone screen suddenly went off. Only capacitive keys blink.
He brought the phone to me two days back.
I had a look at the phone. When I start it some starting sound is there and after a few seconds the capacitive keys blink and stay there for a few seconds and go off. If I push the power button the keys blink again. I tried booting into recovery and also I hard resetting with a few key combos. Seems it goes to recovery but I cannot see anything on the screen.
Is this some screen display or dizitizer problem or some software problem. Kindly guide me.
Today I installed lgunited drivers and started software tool. Software tool said update available. I clicked on update but it said phone battery low. I have put the phone to charge now.
Is trying to update while lg software update tool safe while the phone is rooted and having custom recovery. ( I was trying to update via tool with some wishful thinking that some magic might happen and phone will boot normally thereafter.
Hi people
I need some serious help!!
I bought Moto G from US which was working fine until now. I played rip tide and the phone got struck when i pressed home button in the middle of the game. So i restarted the phone.
Now, after restarting the phone boots up normally and comes to home screen (Smart Launcher). But, if i press anywhere in the screen, phone hangs and there is no response.
Actually, after booting i am able to go to settings from lock screen and work on settings. However, when i go to homescreen phone freezes.
The same thing happened last month and I did a factory reset and everything worked fine.
This time i dont want to do that as I lost all my contacts. photos, videos after factory resetting.
Please help me on this.

If you can access the settings menu, go in and delete Smart Launcher, then reboot.
See if thats the issue.
Hi, i have a rooted Samsung galaxy prevail 2, and just recently my phone has appeared to stop working. when i reboot it, the message 'shell has been given superuser permissions' is displayed and the screen is frozen. in this state none of the hardware buttons work except the power button except it only works to reboot, not turn the screen off. the low memory icon is also displayed in the top left. i should mention that this has happened before a while ago but my phone returned to normal after three days and i did nothing to fix it. this time its on day seven of freezing on every reboot. i have tried to factory reset using the hardware buttons but once it gets to the second logo and displays the message at the top left, it doesnt continue to the recovery menu and instead shuts back off. i have also tried to connect it to my computer to look through the files but it will not accept the driver the computers trying to install. i even downloaded the correct driver from the samsung website. any help? thanks.
Hey guys. I'm pretty desperate so i decided to make this thread.
Here is my problem:
I have changed screen on my phone today. Everything went without any problems since I tried to turn on the phone.
When I tried to turn it on I can see only MI logo on display ... Then after couple of seconds phone will restart automatically and goes into Recovery mode.
I tried to boot it from there without any results. Also tried to reset and wipe data without any results.
The biggest problem is that I cant even get into Fastboot menu by pressing Power button + volume down button. So I cant connect my phone with PC and try to flash new ROM.
Any suggestions? I would be really thankful for any advice.
Thank you very much.

Did you follow a tutorial for replacing the screen on your device? Where did you get the screen from? Was your screen replacement just the Touch Panel or the full screen replacement with LCD + Touch Panel? Was it an actual Xiaomi part or an aftermarket part? I would take your device apart again and make sure you didn't leave something loose or disconnected.
Quick question. Was you old display still working where you could see what was going on? Like, was it just cracked or was it completely inoperable?

Thanks for reply. Yes I followed complete tutorial on youtube. Screen is from ebay. It should be original. I replaced full screen ( lcd + touch panel ).
So found simillar problem as mine - due to improper installation of back cover volume up button was pressed which caused that phone went to recovery menu after start ... ( you have to hold volume up + power key to get to Recovery menu). So I tried to dismantle it again but it didnt help. Still have same problem.
Yes old display is alright. I can see everything just touch screen is broken so I cant do anything on it. But I cant imagine this would be problem of display ....
Give your craftsmanship and handiwork the benefit of the doubt and install your old LCD+Touch Panel and see what happens. If you have everything installed correctly with every cable connected to it proper location then you should be able to boot normally.
