Capacitive buttons stopped working - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A few days ago, my home button bugged out and started having ghost touches...some times a few times a second. I reflashed my rom and it started working again.
Just this morning, all the buttons stopped working. What can I do? Is the phone completely broken?

Phone won't turn off

All of a sudden the top power button on my Touch pro won't work! The backlight just stays on all the time. Anyone have this problem?
I do have Mobile Shell installed and installed it about a week ago, but all of a sudden this just happened...
I have performed several soft resets to no avail.
Thanks!

[Q] Unresponsive Touch Screen

Hi everyone,
My One S' screen has suddenly stopped responding to any touch. I've been running CM 11 M8 for almost 2 weeks.
The phone rebooted and after the reboot, the screen has stopped responding to any touch. The hardware buttons still work along with the soft keys. I tried clearing cache/wiping data/flashing another ROM but nothing seems to be solving the issue.
What are some other things I could try to fix this?
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks a lot.

I just got the same issue, have tried factory reset, changed from stock to CyanogenMod (stable 10.2) and nothing's worked... It was working yesterday normally, performed a reset (via the options menu) to sell the phone, after reboot it stopped working. Has someone found the solution to this issue?

phone presses buttons by itself.

I have a Huawei G510, at first I had it with stock ROM and it was sick, too slow and problems with microphone etc...
I installed a new ROM that was clean and runs smooth, after 2 weeks my phone started pressing menu or home buttons by itself sometimes, the problem kept occurring from time to time and I factory reset it everything became fine. after several days the problem appeared again without stopping as soon as I unlock it it starts pressing home, back, menu buttons by itself. I tried another ROM(cyanogen 10.1 android 4.2) and the problem still occurs even with nothing installed on my phone, didn't even set up GMAIL yet, after that the buttons stopped working at all, I downloaded a softkey app and after 1 day the problem appeared again. It is really annoying i've tried everything I can but it seems to be a hardware software, I'd like to stop the buttons from functioning if it's possible and use the softkeys app.

Long press stops working on menu, home and back button

I have been a proud owner of the OnePlus One for about a year now and never had any major problems with it, until now... A week ago I noticed that my physical buttons stopped responding to long press. I rebooted the phone and the buttons functioned like normal. The problem reocurred half a day later. This time I tried to figure out if this is a software or a hardware problem. I switched the phone to use the on screen buttons and I experienced the same problems. I have ran into this problem about 5-7 times this week. I suspect two possible culprits: the phone did overheat not once but twice a day or two before the problems started poping up, but I think this is not the cause of the problems; I also noticed that the Facebook Messenger app is acting strange when the long press is not working, so the messenger app may be the cause of these problems, but I'm not sure how to test this since I cannot recreate the problems. I will try to make a screen capture demonstrating the issue.
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?
I turned off the Facebook Messenger bubbles and that seemed to help.
Update: The problem still repeated itself. I think the problem lies in the SwiftKey Keyboard. I uninstalled it and no problems so far.

Touch stopped working during usage

Hello,
i was just playing a game and suddenly the touch stopped accepting input. A reboot did not solve the problem. I just decomposed the hardware and cleaned it a bit. Still not working.
I have the current lineage os nightly running.
Edit: I now tried to boot into bootloader but it stopped working completly now. It vibrates when holding the power button, but display stays black. So it seems this issue is "solved".
