Hi All,
This is my first post. I purchased the HTC pro yesterday and all seems to be working well apart from the annoying vodafone crap thats covering the htc pro software. I am looking to flash the phone and get the vodafone s/w off. However, the phone does not stay connected to windows mobile 6.1 very long, maybe 1 min max. It keeps disconnecting. Any idea's? Is there a work around for this?
The phone is connected to my laptop using the data cable provided, I'm using vista 32 bit o/s.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
Excuse me?
Hi Dave,
sorry, but what exactly do you mean with "Windows Mobile"? Did you mean Windows Mobile Device Centre on your Vista machine?
Scott
Could be one of many things. Firewall problem, dodgy cable - do you have another you can try? Could be a hardware problem with the phones usb socket or the laptops usb socket... But the best advice I can offer is to use Windows XP when flashing roms - it is possible with Vista, but it's generally a simpler process with XP.
Hi,
Its Windows Mobile Device Centre, and I have downloaded the latest version. I will try this on my xp laptop. Ideally I want to get rid of all the vodafone crap Its annoying how it keeps on cutting out. I thought it might be some setup setting I would need to change?
Cheers,
I had the same problem with my HTC Touch Pro disconnecting from Device Centre, and fixed it by setting the 'Shut Down Device when not used for' on external power for more then 1 minute (I selected 30 minutes).
Hey,
I had done that via going to Power - Advanced - Unticked all of them.
Is that bit somewhere else on the phone?
Sorry I am new to HTC phones (
Cheers,
Touch Pro disconnecting from Computer
Hi,
I have similiar problem. I am using Windows XP Pro in my computer. The phone is disconnected if I pick up an incoming call. Once I hang up, it will automatically reconnect.
Any idea how to solve this?? Thanks
Managed to fix my issue, was a change in settings - usb to pc - and untick the enable advanced network functionality.
Cheers for your help, managed to flash the rom too!
Dave
Hi,
Go to setting, connection, USB to PC, untick Enable Advanced Network Functionality. Then my problem is fixed
Hi, I also have the problem, TP connects fine but after 1 minute it disconnects?
I have unticked the "Enable Advanced Network Functionality" and I have the:
'Shut Down Device when not used for' on external power
set to 30 minutes
Please does anybody have other possible solutions?

Dear all,
is there a way to chance audio properties of a WM Phone upon ActiveSync connection?
I could change profiles manually, but automatically upon connection would be quite handy.
Thanks!
Christian
PS
please move if there's another, better suited form here. thx.
Sorry, I am only trying to get this to p1 again.
No Ideas?
Hi All,
I'd like to share GPS data from my ASUS P750 (running on WM 6.1) over bluetooth to other device (my PC).
I seareched the network and forum and the only possibility I found is GpsGate. I'm looking for alternatives.
Does anyone have any idea how to:
- create outgoing port for GPS and share to that port data from internal COM (GPS).
Thank you in advance for any ideas.

Thank You for quick replay.
The tool is nearly perfect.
The only thing I miss in it is automatic incoming bleutooth COM port configuration, i.e. after instalig and configuring the GPS2Blue it doesn't work automatically (at least on my WM 6.1). To make it working you have to manually add incoming BT COM port. So for those who don't want to spend time on Google.
To add incoming COM port add to your registry following entries (found in other thread):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Serial\Ports\Incoming]
"RemoteDCB"=dword:00000000
"KeepDCD"=dword:00000000
"Encryption"=dword:00000001
"Authentication"=dword:00000001
"Server"=dword:00000001
"Port"="COM6"
(For lazy ones attached Add Incoming COM6.zip)
Greetings

What do you mean by "automatically"? I just tried out this piece of software, and I'll be pairing it with a Bluetooth receiver on a camera. At some point, I would like to implement a shortcut on my phone which launches this program, opens a port, and automatically starts sending the data (rather than clicking through things). Is that what the registry setting below does for you, or are you talking about something else?

Hi Austin519,
I don’t get what is your goal.
This tool among others allows you to get data from internal GPS device and send it to other COM port. For example you can use it to forward your internal GPS data to other phone or computer over Bluetooth COM port. In the tool you set the source COM (which is assigned to you internal GPS) and destination BT COM port (this port needs to be created by manually as incoming BT COM port).
I hope it help if not please describe what you want to achieve and what devices you wish to use.

Will this allow the HD2 to make wi-fi n phone calls? To some this may be a goofy question but if this item is windows as the HD2 is & I connected them both with an adapter would this allow the HD2 to make wireless wi-fi n phone calls? It seems a simple idea but my knowledge is short at my age.
If it doesn't why not? I haven't left windows yet & I'm so close to getting another phone & I just want to make sure what TMO phone to get. TIA.
No, the adapter is for windows operating system not windows mobile.
Thanks but if I did connect the two what would happen? Nothing?
Just trying to find a way to make the Leo wi-fi call. Thx.

This item is just to connect a laptop or PC to an existing wifi network. The only way it could be used in a connection between an HD2 and a computer is if you have the HD2 setup as a wifi router and you connected the pc to that....which is pretty much the exact opposite of how you would need the connectivity setup. But, it's still all kind of moot...that adapter won't do anything to enable voip calling on the HD2
Thank you sirphunkee, to do a proper reserch I just ordered an HD2 for .01 at Amazon a few minutes ago. I figure if I have the phone it would be much easier to find a way to solve this problem. Besides for .01 what am I going to lose.
Agreed your answer being moot is correct I do agree. Thanks.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to delete bluetooth profiles from the HTC Smart at all? My pc has somehow deleted the profile and now I cant get them to reconnect as there is a profile of the pc on my phone already. I would be really grateful if somebody could help me out.
Thanks
