Ok, so I have the tilt (WM6.0). I used to be able to set my MMS send options as the following default:
Delivery: Now
Expiration: 1 Hour
Priority: High
Delivery report - checked
Read report - checked
Now for whatever reason, the only option I have for expiration is maximum. When I try to select any other option from the expiration pull down window, the following MMS error appears: "The expiraton time must be after the delivery time"
Does anyone know how I can get the one hour expiration back?
Any assistance is appreciated!

hi,
i dont know what it is called in english, but normally we can get a statusreport about the delivery of an sms.
with the treo it doesnt seem to work.
how comes?
SMS Statusreport (SMS Delivery Report)
Yes, it happen with my Treo too. But if I install Saman SMS Delivery Receipt Fix for WM 5.0 I've got delivery report twice. One from standard report and one from Saman SMS Delivery Receipt. I want to know if it's possible have standard delivery report by edit the registry.
Prefix sms messages with *N# this gets delivery reports..hope this works for you also Note: Depends on service provider as well
that works but is not quite the same. thx anyway.
does that cost something?
delivery notification billing
most providers bill the sms delivery reports and you will have to pay two sms, one for the message, one for the report
I no of no provider that bills for the delivery report. At least not in Western Europe.

I got the same issue about delivery report notifications. Although when you go back to the message you did send, you could see a rounded green V that shows it is delivered.
I can't figure this out for the life of me. Whenever I receive a text message, it is always timestamped 4 hours behind. When I send a text message its fine, and when I receive MMS messages its fine too. I have have triple checked my time settings and it is set correctly, in my case GMT -5 Eastern US. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

CHeck you regional settings dude (not time&date).......also go into start>settings>phone>TimeZones(tab).....tick the box, the device should get the time & date from the network automatically.
This MIGHT not be present to select, aint got my Touch Pro yet

Hi all,
I have a major problem with sending emails on my TP.
Let me start with saying: proxy is deactivated and I coudn't find anything about this subject in this forum.
When I delete all my accounts and setup a new one and try to send the first email, everthing works the way it is supposed to and it will be doing so for the rest of the day (ok, I didn't check that by sending emails every hour)
After a day or so (don't know exactely when this change happend) I can not send emails anymore. I'm 200% sure that I have not changed any settings so that can't be the problem.
The error message I receive when trying to send emails is:
"Can not send message, check network coverage and account details"
Does any of you know what causes this problem and how I can solve this?
Thank you very much in advance!
**edit** Okay, I tested the abillity to send emails every hour today (nothing better to do )
I created the account this morning and got the first send error around 6 hours later.
Same location and same reception (2-3 bars on 3G).
Strange, very strange
Does your ISP support IMAP and POP accounts. I use Yahoo, and i occationally get the same message, the only reason it could be is network coverage. If you are roaming, the speed may not be high enough for your service.
Also check the size of e-mail download, set it to 20kb and test it for a few days.
Hope this helps
Rih
ISP supports POP as well as IMAP.
Since receiving is not a problem at all, I also tried different smtp servers for sending email. But as soon as I get the first error message, I can not send emails from whatever server I'm using.
I'm also not roaming and have excellent speeds all the time.
Just curious: how does the download limit of 20kb affects the abillity to send emails?
I've set mine to download everything (whole message)
I had this problem and it ends upi a coverage problem, I get this error with 1 bar. and it wont send.
Also if you swap between wifi and 3G make sure you you SMPT is on your email provider and you tick the send secure mode. I =got caught on this using diffrent WIfi hot spots.
Hello
I'm interesting if it is possible to set WM6.1 on how to not sent back sms delivery notification.
for example:
when i get a sms, the sender gets delivery notification, i want to disable that, so when i get sms, sender gets nothing (as he had disabled sms delivery notification)
is this doable?
thanks for your replies
bye
No, that's from the operator side, not from the client.
Tried:
Start/ Programs/Messaging/Menu/Options check SMS/MMS Uncheck Request delivery notifications / Ok
yes/ no?

Yes, but this is if I send message to someone i get notification. If i uncheck this i won't receive notifications.
I want in vice versa case, if someone send me message, he DO NOT get notification...
The handset has to confirm receipt of the device to the SMSC of your network otherwise it will keep resending it to you. If the sender has requested a delivery report it is sent by the SMSC when it recieves the confirmation from your phone and not directly from your phone. Whilst it may be technically possible to stop the device sending a delivery confirmation from being sent back to the SMSC, it would result in all your texts coming in repeatedly every 2-5 mins so it would be exceptionally annoying. I'd imagine for this reason nobody's written an application to stop them getting sent.
Hey guy, cannot find anything but Blackberry users in searches with the same problem affecting them in a bit more painful way, but I was hoping someone may know. Ever since swapping from a Late Mango DFT (8107 rom I believe) on my HTC Arrive to a Tango rom (Asner or Lead Rom), I have recieved Callback Numbers on the end of SMS messaged from people who have that stupid feature turned on, on their phone. Before the rom swap I never got callback numbers (as unless it is coming from a blocked number, it is pretty useless).
Has anyone else run into the same issue after an update and possibly know of a Reg Key or other change to change to possibly fix it? Odd how a Rom swap would change a setting to allow these to be shown now and not before.
*This is for Callback Numbers being recieved from other people. Not all people send them but whatever phones now have it turned on by default will now show the number at the end of every text from them.
Go into messaging settings and there are options on SMS delivery confirmation and MMS delivery and received confirmation. You probably have SMS delivery confirmation on right now

You do realize why I bolded the "Recieved" Part of this peoblem. SMS Deliver Confirmation would only be for Sending messages. (and is turned off either way, both SMS and MMS).
A Delivery Confirmation is in no way the same thing as a Callback Number coming from outside senders.
I have the same problem, my phone is lumia 800c (lumia 800 with CDMA), and only the SMS that gsm user send to me have this problem. It seemed something about CDMA.
