Problem sending email - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi all,
I have a major problem with sending emails on my TP.
Let me start with saying: proxy is deactivated and I coudn't find anything about this subject in this forum.
When I delete all my accounts and setup a new one and try to send the first email, everthing works the way it is supposed to and it will be doing so for the rest of the day (ok, I didn't check that by sending emails every hour)
After a day or so (don't know exactely when this change happend) I can not send emails anymore. I'm 200% sure that I have not changed any settings so that can't be the problem.
The error message I receive when trying to send emails is:
"Can not send message, check network coverage and account details"
Does any of you know what causes this problem and how I can solve this?
Thank you very much in advance!
**edit** Okay, I tested the abillity to send emails every hour today (nothing better to do )
I created the account this morning and got the first send error around 6 hours later.
Same location and same reception (2-3 bars on 3G).
Strange, very strange

Does your ISP support IMAP and POP accounts. I use Yahoo, and i occationally get the same message, the only reason it could be is network coverage. If you are roaming, the speed may not be high enough for your service.
Also check the size of e-mail download, set it to 20kb and test it for a few days.
Hope this helps
Rih

ISP supports POP as well as IMAP.
Since receiving is not a problem at all, I also tried different smtp servers for sending email. But as soon as I get the first error message, I can not send emails from whatever server I'm using.
I'm also not roaming and have excellent speeds all the time.
Just curious: how does the download limit of 20kb affects the abillity to send emails?
I've set mine to download everything (whole message)

I had this problem and it ends upi a coverage problem, I get this error with 1 bar. and it wont send.
Also if you swap between wifi and 3G make sure you you SMPT is on your email provider and you tick the send secure mode. I =got caught on this using diffrent WIfi hot spots.

Outgoing email problems XDA II

Help, I have checked email my settings 100 times and they are correct. I have no problems receiving emails, however I am only able to send/fwd emails 20% of the time. The emails that don’t send/fwd come back "invalid email recipient." Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
JA
I used to have that with my XDA2 on Orange.
The smtp server for any ISP account be set to smtp.orange.net, if you have Orange connection or the appropriate smtp server of your mobile phone company. That should solve the problem
The other problems I still face are
a. A document to be sent which was only 60k in the File explorer, shows up in the Outbox as 200k. I don't know why does it happen
b. because the volume becomes so high, the GPRS internet takes a long time and sometimes hangs up

i have the same problem with sending mails but then both my
pop3 server and smtp are the servers for my cable isp not my
grps isp
so i doubt that my grps isp is going to be much help in solving that issue
heck they may even block smtp action out of their gateway
Wov...i have the some problem....
 ...new global smtp virus?
but like many others my cable isp have www mail access so if i want to send a mail from my xda2 i can always do it from explore
not as clean and pretty as to do it with the real smtp though
I tested nPOP program. All is correct, no problemo. It is a cool software, maybe better than Outlook. Outlook - problem  , nPOP - no problemo Sorry i dont speak english. Test it. http://www.npopsupport.fsworld.co.uk/nPOP_PPC2002_ARM.zip

pushmail/exchange confusion... driving me nuts. arrr

Hi. I've been using mail2web services for a while. They were great until the last couple of weeks, now their service goes down like a pro.
So.. I started to look at alternatives.
fastmail -- nice account, IMAP.. but for the life of me I couldn't get it to "push" email to my phone. It supposedly supports IDLE, but I couldn't figure this out. Am I missing a setting somewhere? The thing never pushed mail to my phone at all.
1and1.com -- slightly more expensive exchange2003 account. No .CAB for the activesynch settings, they have to be input manually. No problem, until I set "as arrives" in scheduling and it asks me for an SMS gateway. Uh-oh. Im on Softbank and I know nothing about any gateway.
this post:
http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=410683
explains that Exchange works by sending a header SMS to instruct the phone to synch. However, mail2web never asked me for my provider or any SMS gateway.. so if this is how it works how did mail2web do it?
If anyone can shed some light on how to get this working properly, or where to find more technical details on how this stuff works I'd be a lot happier. As it is I'm having to check gmail periodically.
Thanks for your help!
I think your getting mixed up a bit sir, mail2web uses the push feature because it uses your GPRS connection to talk to it. If you ran a netstat program to see what the device is currently connected to you will see an active connection to mobile.exchange.mail2web.com, as soon as an email arrives it signals activsync on your device to synchronise your emails, the device simply tells you that there is an unread message. The connection is always on. If you have GSM signal but no active data connection you wont get your push emails.
The connection is always on but stuff is sent to and fro only when there is a change on one end (for example if you add a new contact.....it will sync with the mail2web server and the new contact will be on there aswell).
and FYI...mail2web has been a bit unreliable lately but its ok at the moment!?
Thanks for the info.
So..... do you have any advice as to how I would set up activesynch the same way to connect to 1and1?
When I set it up it asks me for the gateway, otherwise won't let me choose "when arrives" for scheduling, could this be a setting on my side, or a setting on their servers?
mail2web may be OK now, but for a non-free service 1 whole week of unreliability is enough for me. Who knows how long it'll be up before problems start again.

mail2web seems back to normal service today... Nearly
But yes one week without push... including sometimes when your email just do not even reach your acount and bounce (ie they're just lost...) it's not really what we need
I hope in the future more and more providers will propose Exchange 2007 accounts by default...
I am also a former m2w user. canceled my account in fury after indeed more than three weeks of problems, topped with a week off.
Fortunately my school's email supports ActiveSync so I moved there.
I cannot recommend any particular commercial replacement.
I've heard a few folks using Goodlink, but I am not convinced.
Push email is no joke, once you have it and rely on it, and it goes bananas, the harm is real.
Do we know when mail2web is planning on using exchange 2007??

Emails Sitting In Outbox

Hey,
I'm with Tesco.net for my broadband at home and want to get my personal emails on my TP.
I can do that fine, either setting up POP3 on my TP or using Emoze for push email (which I'm using and love)
For some reason I can't send any. I know there's an update to fix this, but it doesn't work. I don't even get an error - the emails just sit in my outbox.
I can send emails from other accounts (Yahoo for example) but not this one. I've looked on the Tesco website and Googled why this isn't working, but found nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Tas*
check your outgoing mail settings on the phone with what they should be. it's possible that some type of mismatch (maybe port or security or pw error) is keeping your phone from connecting to the outgoing server.
also are you sure they're not sending? every now and then i send emails and tehy sit in my outbox and keep sending until i get a pissed off phone call from someone about repeatedly emailing them...

[Q] email problems - email vanishes...

Ok, I have a number of email related problems...
I'm using POP to sync with my business email, hosted on a managed server.
I can access email no problem, and send.
But, I have the phone set-up to check for mail every 30 mins or so, and it does this ok, and reports 'X' new messages, but when I go to the mail app it shows 'no mail', and I have to refresh to actually see the mail. Very, very annoying, and I guess is costing me more as the phone is data downloading twice! A real issue as I'm 'roaming' a lot...
With mail receiving that's about all the problems. but I'd love a fix if it's something I'm doing wrong.
But, with sent mail the phone seems to decide to delete all sent mail, no matter what setting I have set for mail.
I have no idea why this happens, and more importantly how to stop it.
All previous phones (this is my first Android one) kept all sent mail until I deleted it.
Any ideas regarding these problems?
Clear your mail data from setting and do a fresh mail set up afterwards. Good luck
Ok, trying now...
Is this a known problem???

Help needed with (Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender) Error message

Good afternoon everyone,
This is probably going to be a dumb question but here goes.
I am always sending text messages to my personal email address from my phone as either an SMS or sometimes as an MMS message as reminders for all sorts of things.
For instance, If I find an article of any kind that I want to read later I will copy the web address and send a text to my email address from the "Messages app" on my phone.
I have been doing this for years and have never ever had any issues up until about two weeks ago. Now sporadically and even sometimes all the time I will send a text to my email and immediately I get a separate text back saying the following
"(Undelivered Mail Returned To Sender) This is the mail system at host bbtpnj33wzwvetm-c-nk-x-00-vmg-00.localdomain.
I"
I can not for the life of me figure out what I keep getting these types of responses.
Has anyone ever encountered something like this and/or have any clue what the problem might be and how to fix it?
Currently, I am having this issue using my Note20 Ultra if that means anything.
Thank you so much in advance for any help!
