Hi I dropped my HTC Diamond/Ignito the other day and the keypad/home button fell off and dropped into a drain, with no insurance I can't send it back for repairs tried searchign the web and can't seem to find this part anywhere. Doeas anyone have any ideas where i could get one from please??
thanks in advance for your help....
Sounds like something you might have to contact the HTC Service Centre for... Ooooor u could try find a dummy phone and rip it off there. Not sure if it'll work though since that pad is touch sensitive...
btw.. can u take a picture so that we can see what it looks like underneath the button?
Sometimes i wonder about the quality of the build.... especially after reading one or two threads about the corner of the piece "peeling" off...
Hi there,
Had this phone now since about August. Gradually over time the slider has become rather loose, its now at the point where im quite worried its going to break.
Has anyone else discovered this problem? Is it best contacting HTC service dept?
Does anyone happen to have the contact details in the UK?
Thanks
How does your slider become loose? Video please? I've had a kaiser before my fuze, and it's slider NEVER came loose. The tilt mechanism did, but not the slider. The slider shouldn't come loose since it's a spring action slider. I wold send it back right away.
Maybe it is more so the machanism, but if you close the slider you can quite easily wobble the front about and see there is a lot of movement there.
I've had my Fuze for a few weeks now, and am starting to notice this as well.
I actually came onto the boards this morning, hoping to find a thread on how to physically dismantle the Touch Pro, so I can study the slider mechanism and try and tighten/strengthen it somehow.

Cool just had a quick skim through those dismantle guides but dont really think id want to void the warranty unless its something dead simple! let me know how you get on! Cheers
Has anyone been able to figure this out yet? Mine is also loose and I am wondering how to fix it?
Hi Folks,
I was wondering if anyone has tried to modify a Raphael so that when you slide the keyboard out you can tilt the screen, so that it can sit like a laptop.
I remember seeing either a Hermes or Wizard that had been modded, so that it was like the Kaiser.
The reason i am asking is because I currently have a Kaiser and love the way the screen tilts, but its pretty beat up and broken, so the insurance replacement would be the Raphael.
Thanks
Ok i buy used diamond from ebay, and everything is fine except of keypad it has some strange thing on it
Picture will tell everything
Look around the edges and around mid button...
Do anyone here have similar problem?
I found on the net spare part and I wanna order it!
And every disasembling tutorial you have will help
Did anyone do something like this?
Just order and replace with the standard manual that's all over the internet.
The keypad is the only thing you can replace easy.
I replaced my lcd and digitizer with a lot of problems, but it's working now

I think you don't need to change keypad similar problem I have lived. Check this thread :

I think you have a screen protector, by default keypad has factory default protector. Firstly you can remove your protector, then factory default, after that you can use any protector suits for this area.
recently while using my touch pros slide out qwerty keyboard ive noticed that it is missing spaces quite often, like one in three times i press the spacebar it just doesnt do it.
im thinking that it might just be a bit dirty on the buttons (hopefully) but i have no idea how to get under the keys and into the keyboardor how to clean it.
can somebody please help me, i dont want to ruin my phone lol.
i need to know how to clean under the keys. . . or any other reason my spacebar wouldnt be working and how to fix it.
thankyou so much
If its anything like the Kaiser (which it does to me) the keyboard will be "stuck on" the actual "buttons" are in the phone and behind the letters are contacts, cleaning under the keyboard is going to be pointless i think, i had the same issue with my Kaiser, so i just bought a new keyboard off a well known online auction site that sorted the problems for me and didnt cost too much, about £10 and at the time i perfered to pay the cash than send it back to HTC/T-Mobile to get repaired and be without it for 2 weeks.
