googled the problems but no luck at all
any body can help me?thx in advance

hi....anybody can help me?

did you remove the partnership in your AS on your device before trying to sync?

Do this:
Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC> Then uncheck the option "Enable advanced network functionality"
If it still cant....
The driver installation may not have completed successfully. If you think this may be the case, follow these steps:
1. Keep your device connected
2. From the desktop, go to Start > Start Search
3. Enter "Device Manager" or "devmgmt.msc" to launch the Device Manager window
4. Look under the "Network adapters" node for "Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote Adapter". If this is not present, skip to step 5. Otherwise, right-click "Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote Adapter" and choose to "Uninstall"
5. Look under the "Mobile Devices" node for "Microsoft USB Sync". If this is not present, skip to step 6. Otherwise, right-click "Microsoft USB Sync" and choose to "Uninstall"
6. Disconnect and reconnect your device. Your device driver will re-install and Windows Mobile Device Center will launch
Hope this HELP,.

thx for the response -G-, have tried it and no luck at all...wonder what happens with 64bit users. are you all getting the same problem?

Can't connect to Windows Mobile Device Center

I can't for the life of me get my touch dual to connect to the Windows Mobile Device Center on my vista machine. I've tried everything -
1. uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers
2. uninstalling and reinstalling WMDC
3. hard resetting my device
NOTHING works!
When I connect, all I get is "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it ...."
Does anyone know how to fix this? I've called Dell, HTC, Msft. No one knows. I am totally frustrated b/c I can't flash my device with a new ROM or even just move files to my device.
HELP!
Did you install SP1 on your vista machine ?
My phone was syncning perfectly up until i intalled SP1 2 days ago.
I also tired the 3 things you did. Fortunately after the hard reset i discovered that the phone WILL syn using the BT connection, just not via usb
try this. Open task manager on your PC (ctrl+alt+del) and kill wmplayer.exe (windows media player process) reconnect your device. See if this helps.

Hmmm ... wmplayer.exe isn't running.
@rostol - no, i'm don't have SP1. it just says Windows Vista Home Premium.
I'll try to connect via bluetooth to see what happens. if you guys have any other ideas, I'm totally open.
Update: I can connect via bluetooth now, but still not USB. Grrrrr ....
I had a similar problem. I have ESET Smart Security and Vista SP1 installed and found that, with ESET's firewall actively filtering, I am unable to sync. I set ESET to not filter while the phone is plugged up and all is well.

Synchronize over Ethernet Problem

"Once upon a time" when I was using Windows XP I was able to sync my phone with my home computer from anywhere using an application called "USB to Ethernet Connector". It (I mean the application) basically shared my current USB connection over the ethernet and I was able to map it back home as real USB port.
For some time now I'm using Windows Vista. It is all ok with "USB to Ethernet Connector" except that the Vista's "Sync Center" does not recognize my device. It appears as "Windows Mobile-based device" in my Device Manager but it cannot sync.
Can anyone suggest where the problem might be?
P.S. Settings
Windows Vista Firewall - disabled
Windows Vista Defender - disabled
Symantec Endpoint Protection - Installed with Firewall disabled
up up up up up
vista changed a lot about security from xp
so
1. the program would have to be remade to work with the new security model
or
2. the vista security model is too strict for the program ever to work
I don't think that security is the problem here. Otherwise it won't work at all. My USB stick and the Bluetooth dongle work.
There is "Windows Mobile-based device" in my Device Manager.
So obviously the problem is with the Vista's Sync Centero or within it's settings.

Device Manager: Mobile Devices

When I stood the blue angel in the USB stand in bootloader mode my computer,Dell Inspiron 1501 with Windows Vista 64 bit on, my computer loaded to that device drivers and said;
"Your devices are ready to use
The software for this device has been successfully installed
Microsoft USB sync ready to use
Unidentified device ready to use"
When I went into device manager under "mobile devices" there was "Microsoft USB sync" there was no "HTC USB device", or as a it mentions here;
"Go into the start menu and type "Device Manager" then run, this will take you into the device manager.
* Click the "+" symbol next to "Mobile Devices" and double click on "HTC USB Sync".
* This will bring up the properties of the currently connected device."

[Q] No connection, syncing problem

Hi, I bought a HD2 through Ebay and didn't get the getting started CD. I installed activesync 4.5 on my XP and WMDC 6.1.6965 on my vista. Both computer do not recognize htc device thru USB saying unknown device for a few minutes then stops, tab says "one of the usb devies attached to comp has malfunctioned (USB not recognized)
Have tried :
1) USB to PC - unclicking faster data sync, hard resets, reinstalling WMDC and active sync
2) changing power options to usb to disable selective suspend
3) close zone alarm and window firewalls
4) taken out SD card
5) tried WMDC 6.0, active sync 4.2
5) followed this website hxxp:/pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/wmdc/services.htm and trialled the batch.
Batch said UPnP service name invalid so I installed uPnP tester from:
hxxp://download.cnet.com/Universal-Plug-and-Play-Tester/3000-2651_4-10504740.html
Batch file continues to say Windows mobile 2003-based device connectivity and windows mobile-based device connectivity as invalid, but i cant find a way to install/update these from microsoft website or through the web.
Note: when i install WMDC driver software installation successfully, under unidentified device.
Version T-mobile: OS 5.2.21892 (21892.5.0.89) ROm 2.13.531.1. (im in Australia if that makes any difference)
I want to be able to sync to a computer either xp or vista. Could it be my device or is my setup wrong? Thanks for help in advance
I'm having the exact same problem except with my Fuze running Tael Rom.
Help, anyone?

Bluetooth Drivers for Windows 7 64 bit

Is there a Windows 7 Bluetooth driver for the G2x or LG phones in general? I've searched here and on Google with no luck.
I have two PC's with varying results:
Windows 7 32 bit with built in Bluetooth: Pairs fine, lets me browse files
Windows 7 64 Bit with USB Bluetooth: no driver found for Bluetooth Peripheral Device, same result on another 64 bit machine
Somehow the 32 bit machine has the drivers already?
Thanks!
no bluetooth peripheral driver on windows 7 64 bit
I Had The Same Problem
Solved as follows
installed windows mobile device driver 64 bit for windows vista 64 bit and windows 7 64 bit off windows mobile site
then i did the following
Install Windows Mobile Device Center.
The first step may solve your problem automatically. If it doesn't, however, Right Click on Computer Icon and Choose Manage.
Go To Device Manager.
You'll see an Unknow Device named Bluetooth Peripheral Device. Double Click it to open its properties.
Click "Reinstall Driver" on the first tab.
Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" button.
Cick on Buetooth Radio.
Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on my computer".
Now the next page will show a list of drivers with Company Names in one list and Drivers in another. In the Company List choose Microsoft Corporation, not only Microsoft. Please confirm this twice that you dont choose Micorosoft but Micorosoft Corporation.
Now in the drivers list there may be one or more drivers with the name "Windows Mobile-Based Device Support" with different driver versions. I cant tell you which will work for you, but start with the newest version.
Click next. Ignore any warnings and keep pressing next and then Finish at last. If all goes well, the last screen will show the message that device driver is properly installed.
If the last screen shows that device is not configured properly repeat the above steps choosing a different driver version this time.
it's ok with me.Thanks a lot my friend....
