i have a realy ****ty problem:
The USB Connection of my TyTN2 is broken. I can't get connected to Active Sync.
USB is not recognized when connecting to PC. The Akku is not charging (also when using the AC/DC-Connection).
The only way to charge the Akku is powering the PPC off.
Any ideas what to do (expect returning the Device to HTC)???
Edit: Flashed back orginal ROM downloaded form the HTC webside using microSD
but im not sure if it has flashed back EVERYTHING to orginal (even the SPL)???
Edit2: ok is there a way to flash the SPL from microSD? CustomRUU can't connect either (loading SPL-1.JumpSPL or SPL1.0.OliPof)

i have a siemens sx56 and it was locked so i used XDA-developers.exe to upgrading the operating system, but the usb cord connect the pda to pc was disconnected accidentially. so my pda just go blank. I tried to redo it but it won't recognize the pda anymore. is there anyway i can fix it? and install the os on it again?
I think your only chance is to flash via SD-Card....

I had the same problem as you, and was able to restore my Uni with a new ROM using the second link.
But the first problem is getting your PC to stop displaying "USB device not recognized", unfortunately this is quite difficult and I actually didn't manage to do it with my main PC! I had to use an old laptop with USB 1.1 and only then it worked fine, after installing Activesync 4.5.
Basically the Uni sucks full 500mA out of the USB port, so try unplugging ALL other USB devices from your PC first, and if that doesn't work then you will have to try another PC. Some work better than others, maybe you have an old laptop lying around which has at least USB 1.1, or could use a friends PC?
Don't bother hard resetting any more, in this state you can only do normal reset and enter bootloader mode. You will have to try combinations of this whilst plugging it into the PC, and also try different USB ports. Also try entering bootloader mode whilst the Uni is plugged into PC, and try without and plugging it in after.
If you manage to get the device recognized in device manager, and the display change to USB, then follow the instructions in the Wiki above and your device will be restored.
And make sure to flash a ROM that does not include a new IPL/SPL, that means don't use any network default WM5 ROM!!! I used Tomal's 8.0, I recommend that when flashing to recover your device.

Hi, I'v received a second hand HTC Cruise, locked to SFR and in French, I want to unlock and chenge to English. I read al lot these days trying to unlock it but it seams that the USB port is disabled, active sync is not working and when I plug the USB cable the PC does nothing (not even recongize that something is in that port)
The HTC Ext seem ok the previos owner never synced but headphones are ok, charging also.
I'e tried several method to acces the device via USB with no results, seems that the only posible solution is by so called HTC GOLD CARD or a HTC DIAGNOSTICS CARD so i can change the ROM from a SD CARD since I can not access the device via USB
I also went to the four colors boot loader screen and try to sync from there but no results.

Hi, for few days when I installed first modified ROM into my TP i noticed that I have problem with connection and synchronisation. When I connect device via USB and set sync pda is connecting and disconnecting. The same problem with connectin via storage. I don't know why I can't establish connection via USB and BT ... I tried few differend ROMs, differend RadioROMs and it didn't help. I checked connections options, tried HR after updating new ROM and nothing helped ... Is this problem possible because of updating HardSPL? I didn't notice that problem when I had oem ROM, because I haven't got usb cable. FYI i tried 4 ROM from Energy and one PROven ROM by qsqa (PLK rom). Could someone help me?
PS: I don't have problem with charging my device and option 'charge when connected to PC' is on.
May be the problem in your PC, try download fresh ActiveSync (XP or older) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista or newer) from Microsoft site, then install it..

Hi, i have been restlessly searching XDA and the web for a solution to a problem i have with my HD2 (EU version - o2). I normally flash a new ROM every weeks or so just to keep up to date with the latest ROMs and stuff and its just become a hobby of a sort. I have MAGLDR and flashed with "NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.2a_NAND_(Android-2.3.7)". I have been using this ROM for about a week and so now with no problems whatsoever.
The problem i am experiencing now is that i am trying to do a full wipe (task29) using the HD2 toolkit in order to flash a fresh ROM. My USB cable is working perfectly fine and my PC recognises USB when i am booted in Android. But for some reason i get no connection to USB while in boot loader mode. Afer the usual RED BLUE GREEN at the bottom of the screen u get SERIAL when not connected to USB but when i connect it to USB its just blank and not picked up by the PC... Why is this? I dont know, but i sure hope someone can help me out.
