making activesync not auto start randomly - Touch Pro, Fuze General

i have tried the fake server method and setting to manual- didnt work
tried the disabling replog.exe using memmaid didnt work
tried unchecking change time auto in phone settings - didnt work
i tried deleting poutlook.exe from startup- didnt work
tried the reg edit of activesync mentioned earlier changing from 5 to 0 - didnt work
my god. i even installed quickmenu and hit its setting to turn off activesync
it still starts!!!
what else is possible??

Same here and it's darned annoying!
Anyone have a solution??

one more here

if you use fdcsoft task manager and go into notifications look for the repllog.exe that states "Event: The system time change" (for me its the one in the middle of the three) and disable that.

But you have to enable it every time you actually need to sync...

You shouldn't have to, the ActiveSync USB connection is controlled by one or both of the other 2. Disabling the one mentioned above has worked for me. It now ONLY appears if I ActiveSync.

Deleted the repplog when time changes, but still keeps popping up...

Hi
Before 3 days I replaced TF3d with this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423851&highlight=diamond+manila
Since now I hadn't randomly activesync and charching over night is ok

has anyone found an easier way to make this happen?

dont forget to try turning off the 'automatic change time zone and clock' found in settings-> personal -> phone ->time zones
this mixed in with disabling repllog (apprunaftertimechange)
and mixed with creating a fake server to set the update time to manual
these 3 things combined together worked for me

This 2007 thread from KidNovak explains it all.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=322673
You'll need the program “Task Manager by FdcSoft” --> go to "Notifications", select the correct repllog, and click the Icon with the RED dot at the bottom. No need to erase or delete. The Red Dot disables that repllog, and you can enable it again in the future if you need it.

I want to ask just oine thing.
What does the activesync do that you are so mad about it being active? From my own experience it doesnt seem to drain battery, it doesnt pop up any windows, it doesnt make sounds, or noises. Its quiet. So why trying to remove it with such dedication and force?
Just ignore it. I do. And i dont have a problem.

Disabling ActiveSync KeepAlive Setting to manual >>>
I have an AT&T Tilt which ActiveSync keeps autostarting every five minutes and could not stop it. It was a serious power drain on the battery. I found that it takes 3 fixes to stop the sync action from auto-starting all the time.
1. Kill the repllog / remote h process in the task manager (recommmend fdc taskmanager for this)
2. Disable the Repllog Notification (Apprunaftertimechange) in the Notification Window.
3 Registry hack > HKEY>CURRENTUSER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>ACTIVESYNC
locate value "Keep Alive" change this to "0" for disabled. 1 will keep it alive with the remote h settings.
I have Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and use AS version 4.5 the latest and this works for me.

The ultimate solution.
Ok here's what you do. The fake exchange server solution never worked for me either.
First of all you need FdcSoft's Task Manager program. It is the best and a must have.
Use the Notifications editor to disable the repllog.exe for RunAfterTimeChange. (The disable button is the one with the red dot.)
Use the registry editor to go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync] Change the KeepAlive value to 0. Tap and hold "KeepAlive" (or go to file menu) and select "Export...". (not Export All) Save this .reg file in the \\Windows\StartUp folder or save it somewhere else and copy it there.
Now you will need Ghisler's Total Commander.
Using Total Commander, browse to \\Windows\Startup folder or wherever you saved .reg file. (Windows mobile doesn't automaticaly know that .reg file should be opened with TaskMgr so you have to associate it.)
Tap and hold your .reg file and select Properties. Select "Associate" tab. Tap gray box that says "Associate..."
In "Command:" box browse to the folder where TaskMgr.exe is. (\Program Files\FdcSoft\TaskMgr\TaskMgr.exe)
In "Parameter:" box leave the "%1" there, and type "/silent" right after. ("%1/silent") This will keep a dialog box from poping up on start up.
"Ok" everything and you're done! Enjoy.

I'm also running Windows Mobile 6.1 on an HTC Touch Elfin.
Here's how I was finally able to do it, and my notes:
-disable auto time zone/clock updates in “phone” settings under personal
-disable 1 of 3 “repllog.exe” that has to do with update after time change with “TaskMgr.exe – by FdcSoft” under notifications
-change registry value of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\KeepAlive to 0 (this will not stick after reset unless you've first disabled the auto timezone/clock updates)
-reset phone
-re-enable auto time zone/clock updates (not sure if it still work though without ActiveSync)
-it will work without disabling the notification in TaskMgr too but then you have to leave auto timezone/clock changes unticked and you still have to do the registry change; ticking of auto timezone/clock changes without TaskMgr change to repllog.exe will also re-enable the keepAlive registry value

SPB time and alarms

Hello:
I have SPB time and recently the alarms seem to have stopped working.
They work if I place a test alarm in the afternoon for example, but the ones in the morning to wake me up for work never go off.
I have tried, wakeupteak, and scarybears check notify, to no avail, I have re-installed SPB time and the alarms. I have rebuilt my unit from the ground up. Still the same problem!!
SPB time are out of ideas themselves.
Any ideas on what the problem may be, or can someone suggest an alternative clock/alarm program for the PPC for me to try.
Thanks.
Aame problem here. AlarmX from MTUX seems to work but it's not as pretty.
There are posts on the forum somewhere telling why this is. It's something like the device goes in to sleep mode (excuse the pun). The built in alarm works Ok (for me) and so does the alarm in Stop Time.
I've had problems with alarms for almost two years - I've found only two solutions:
Try SuperAlert from WhittakerMoore - it cured my alarm problems except when I had stuff which clashed with it, however it is commercial.
A more recent and radical approach which has also worked for me is as follows (you will need software which can modify the Notifications database, such as Anton Tomov's Pocket Mechanic).
The root of the problem is the CALNOT process which runs at midnight - it performs housekeeping and if it doesn't complete correctly, it fails to trigger the first alarm of the day (and therefore any subsequent ones until you turn the device on).
Use your product of choice to simply delete the midnight notification entry which runs CALNOT.exe - this means that the housekeeping isn't done every night but the alarms will be reliable, since it now cannot fail to complete(!). To make sure the cleanup does occur now and again, put a shortcut to CALNOT.exe in the startup folder. Yes, it makes startup after a soft reset a little slower but it's worth it I feel for reliable alarms. Alternatively you could run CALNOT manually. You must remember to remove the CALNOT notification after each time it runs (including timezone changes) as it reinstates its midnight entry each time.
Although I have over 350 entries in my calendar, I haven't noticed any degradation without the regular housekeeping but I have noticed the alarms working - it now wakes me every morning except when I forget to delete the damned entry after a soft reset.
Let me know how you get on.
Note: If anyone out there wants to knock together a tiny app. which runs CALNOT then removes the notification, I for one would be very grateful - I haven't had the time to do any WM coding yet.
I almost missed a plane because the alarm didn't ring so it's important to fix it. However:
simply delete the midnight notification entry which runs CALNOT.exe

how to find this program?
I searched at "calnot.exe" in the registry: nopes, searched in windows/startup: nopes. So how to find the program that calls calnot.exe to delete it? Or just delete the file calnot.exe?
Please help

Do NOT delete the program calnot.exe! Re-read what I wrote, in particular the need for software to edit the notifications database - THAT is where the entry is which needs to be deleted.
Do not quickly skim across the post details, getting half the picture then blindly blundering around in your device - that is the fast way to a hard reset!
Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't read it well, indeed, sorry.
So I deleted calnot from the notication queue and now it has to be fixed, apart from running calnot now and then? Do you (after a run) have to delete calnot again from the queue?
No worries, I just didn't want to be the cause of a hard reset.
Generally running calnot doesn't seem to restore the notification entry, there is a special system notification entry (which I don't recommend you delete) which restores it at each soft reset.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
@mtbsoft. Thanks for you're warning. But now I have some troubble with calnot.exe : can't copy/shortcut it to startmenu as you mentioned, can't even rename the read only status and can't run it (i.e. after double clicking I don't see it in the notification database appear). Any sugestions?
Tapping on it will run it - it doesn't have a user interface so won't be visible. I think you've misunderstood about the notification - running calnot.exe manually WON'T put the notification back, that only occurs when you soft-reset.
I assume you are using the in-built File Explorer, you should be able to navigate to calnot.exe then tap and hold to select Copy. Now go to the \windows\startup folder and use the Edit menu at the bottom left to select Paste as Shortcut. calnot.exe is actually in ROM so you can't rename or delete it (easily).
It worked! I tried it several times like you described, but got the message it was in use, or something like that. But now it's ok. Thanks a lot, the alarms seems to work properly.
@mtbsoft: I found a program/tweak that may solve the problem. It's free.
Look at http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php for wakeup tweak
All wakeup tweak does (to my recollection) is adjusts the Power up timeout that so many others also do - the results are variable and it doesn't work for me. I actually found a better solution in the shape of SuperAlert from www.whittakermoore.com - finally 100% reliable.
I didn't no, learnt again something. I'll give it a try. Thanks

[Hack] FULLY disable automatic screen rotation

I've come to notice that no one REALLY knew how to fully disable screen rotation on WM devices.
Some offered 3rd party apps to get the job done, some only knew how to disable automatic rotation, but when the device went into standby and woke up again - the screen rotated back. So that didnt really work.
So if you're as desperate as i was about screen rotation,
this is what you need to do:
1. Get dotfred's free taskmanager HERE, and run it.
2. Go to "Devices" tab, and look for "MIS1:" device (oem_misc.dll)
3. Long-Tap on it, and tap on "Stop"
4. Long-Tap on it again, and now choose "Set Manual"
EDIT: This should be enough. try flipping your screen/sliding your keyboard and see if the screen changes orientation.
Now put your device on standby, and turn it on again. If orientation stays the same - you're done. If not - try steps 5-7, although they seem to be irrelevant.
5. Go to "Notifications" tab, and look for "Notifications\NamedEvents\VCPowerWakeupEvent"
6. Tap on it to make it selected
7. Disable it
(In dotfred's taskmanager, there should be a button for disabling it, but for some reason some devices couldn't see the button icons, although the buttons are still clickable. Under the notifications list there is an empty light-blue line - the buttons are there, eventough you can't see them.
The disable buttons is somewhere i the middle of that light-blue line, just tap the center until a message box popps up and asks if you'd like to disable this notification - Tap on yes.)All those steps are a one time deal - they stick even after an SR.
This has been tested on htc universal and works great.
The screen will keep its orientation even if you flip your screen, take out your built in keyboard, or turn the device off and back on.
The only time your screen will revert back to the original orientation is when you soft reset your device.
Hope this helps
So now, if you need something to help you rotate your screen on demand, you could use this small app that i've made.
its called ScreenRotate.exe (naturally), and you use it like this:
usage: ScreenRotate.exe <command line argument>
0 : Rotete to angle 0
90 : Rotete to angle 90
180 : Rotete to angle 180
270 : Rotete to angle 270
CW : Rotate clockwise
CCW : Rotate counter-clockwise
MIRROR : Mirror the current angle
If nothing will be specified at command line, nothing will happen.
.NET CF 2 is needed.
I really recommend using it along with FTouchFlo.
This way, to rotate the screen manually, you just need to drag your finger the way you want the screen to be shown, from top to bottom.
I find it quite comfortable while driving...
Those are the changes you'd need to change in FTouchFlo to make it work with ScreenRotate:
DownUpApp:\Program Files\FTouchFlo\ScreenRotate.exe
DownUpAppCmdLine:mirror
LeftRightApp:\Program Files\FTouchFlo\ScreenRotate.exe
LeftRightAppCmdLine:cw
RightLeftApp:\Program Files\FTouchFlo\ScreenRotate.exe
RightLeftAppCmdLine:ccw
Thank you so much... I have been looking for this for sooo long.
This is the perfec way to make it stick in either Portrait / Landscape.
There have been many users such as myself who have wanted our devices to stay in landscape and this is the perfect hack.
Thanks again... Cheers
BTW -> Tested and works on my Hermes
Just added it to the Hermes Wiki (Can be found under regisrty tweaks although it's not a reg tweak)
happy to hear that!
you're welcome mate.
I have a tytn hermes with satin black and in the notifications tab there isn't any notification named "Notifications\NamedEvents\VCPowerWakeupEvent". I have searched in the notifications tab in task manager and also in the notification queue in memaid. So when i soft reset the device everything goes back where it was (auto rotate screen). Any help? Thank's
EDIT: It is working perfectly even without this notification. I just tested it. So everything OK! ThanX again

actually, you're right.
i guess the notification has nothing to do with it,

Unfortunatelly I have found 2 bugs. I have a tytn hermes with black satin medium installed. The first bug is that with mis1 unloaded the device can not connect with the pc anymore. When I plug the device it is just being charged but active sync won't open at all. The second bug is that I can not load mis1 again. No matter what I have tried the device mis1 won't be loaded again if I had unloaded it. Any ideas?
Ok i found a way to reload this specific device (mis1).
1. Run taskmanager.
2. Go to "Devices" tab, and look for "MIS1:" device (oem_misc.dll) (it is unloaded if you have done everything described on the 1st post)
3. Long-Tap on it, and choose "Set Manual"
4. Long-Tap on it again, and choose "Set Automatic"
5. Soft reset your device

Just solved!
The ActiveSync troubleshooter (menu: Help/Troubleshooter for ActiveSync) offered to clear the "Enable advanced network functionality" check box. While trying to do that, an error message "Failed to disable RNDIS ..." was popping up every time. As per this suggestion, I removed virtual COM ports from Bluetooth settings and then it was possible to clear that check box.
Immediately thereafter ActiveSync woke up on the PC and offered to create a new partnership (because I deleted everything in frustration earlier). No problems for half a hour.
Then I left the administrator account and logged on as the usual limited user. ActiveSync again was unable to connect until the advanced functionality check box was restored. Does it seem that those both accounts will require different settings? Dunno, I haven't checked yet.
On my Wizard, with the TNT Rom (August 08), I don't see the device MIS1, and I don't see the event in the TaskManager.
Any ideas how to disable screen rotation, when I slide the keyboard?
Thanks in advance
Sprint HTC Touch Pro ROM 1.03.651.4
The MIS1 solution did not work for my phone (Sprint HTC Touch Pro ROM 1.03.651.4), but I found that this does:'
HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\CamAppActive = 1
Presumably the device thinks the camera is active and thus doesn't rotate the display.
Obviously this will return to 0 after soft reset, so I used TaskMgr 2.9 to export the entry, then added a startup shortcut to import this entry with the /silent flag.
UPDATE: This fix interferes with data entry in Opera. When I try to type into a google search box, I get one character, the box looses focus, and I gotta tap on it again to type any more. Severely annoying. Goes back to normal when I change CamAppActive back to 0, and close and reopen the keyboard. I may make an exe to toggle or just make two reg import shortcuts.
Way cool!
Works for me too on a Kaiser, with old Dutty ROM.
How in the world did you figure it out? Look at that key?
Thanks, Jeff
It made perfect sense, but admittedly I tried changing everything under "Rotation" before I tried that one.
Item #21 on this list clued me into that area of the registry:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398265
El Zilcho.
Bupkis. I've been knocking my brains out trying to disable autorotation, but still have manual enabled. (I've got some apps that play nice only in landscape, and some only like portrait. Also, I'd like to be able to slide my keyboard out really quick-like to enter some quick text, then slide it back w/o messing with screen orientation.) I tried the MIS1 disable, but no-go for me. Also tried messing with the Rotation entries, specifically the SlideKey key, but apparently that value is volatile and changes with each slide. Oh well! Unless there's a way to lock the SlideKey value so it can't be changed, that'd fix my issue. Hmm.
EDIT: Forgot to mention. I've got the Tilt (8900 I guess?) with vanilla OEM 6.1 ROM, modded only for no-bloat. (Did the old battery trick after reset/reinstall to prevent bloatware.)
EDIT: After I typed this up, figured I'd try using Settings>Screen (or somesuch) to just fix perspective. Still auto-rotates. KaiserTweak and Advanced Config can't get it to stick on one or the either, either. Editing registry turns up same results. Settings right now say it's fixed at 0 degrees but it still autorotates.
Late-breaking edit, 14-JUN-10: Got rid of it a few months ago anyways, moved to a Rhodium. No D-pad, so no more worries about those games that didn't like rotation, as they needed the D-pad to work anyways, and the TP2 doesn't have one.
Doesn't work on touch pro 2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5928161#post5928161
That's what I resorted to!
Wow
Wow, pretty hard core fix! On the Sprint Touch Pro 2 Stock 6.1 my reg entry above only works to prevent rotation when the keyboard is slid out, it will not help with the autorotation provided by the sensor. I however put together some .reg files, with my perceived essential fixes including disabling sensor rotation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=651166
So, following post 'step by step' didn't change anything with my screen rotation settings. still automatically rotates all the time when I don't want it too...really frustrating. This is about the 4th hack I've tried with no success. Does anyone know what the proper solution is for the HTC Rhodium? I'm running stock AT&T Tilt 2 Rom WM 6.5.
I know there are programs you can install to take over rotation control...I'm just looking for a reg change or service hack or something to stop auto rotate from ever happening.
Thanks to anyone who knows the answer!!

M2DC
Just tried the M2DC theme manager on 7.3 Std, with a renamed .zip file to .m2dct file (specifically the KnobiSkin from the M2D skin thread).
First time, it locked up. M2DC continued with spinning icon until I forced a reboot. Touchflo was off after reboot, and after enabling it everything appeared to be the same.
Second attempt, I disabled Touchflo from today before applying the new theme. Got the "Applying Theme" prompt. After M2DC closed, I reactivated touchflow and new theme was applied.
Simple instruction for use of M2DC Themes on OTP 7.3:
Find a skin you like, download the zip file (not the cab),
Rename file to .m2dct,
Copy new file to the themes directory of the M2DC install directory,
Disable touchflo in Today settings
Start M2DC,
Go to themes tab (the first time it will back up the default theme),
Click the new theme then apply,
Restart touchflo.
Alternate for creating themes from skin CABs:
Run M2DC first, let it make the DefaultThemeBackup.m2dct file, Close M2DC.
Run the CAB skin of choice.
Rename DefaultThemeBackup.m2dct to OriginalTheme.m2dct (or anything else with same extension).
Rerun M2DC. It will detect no DefaultThemeBackup.m2dct and will ask to back up again. Let it make new backup. Close M2DC.
Rename new file to the name of the new theme.
Repeat for each skin CAB you wish to convert to m2dc theme file.
Note: The M2DCT files can be large (over 3Mb, 660 files backed up). Best to do this only if M2DC is installed on a large Storage card.
Note 2: Several times M2DC appeared to freeze when applying or backing up themes. It looks like it has problems if touchflo is not off prior to running. It does try to deactivate touchFlo then reactivate when done, but it doesn't appear to work flawlessly yet. It is better to deactivate the Today plugin before running M2DC on this ROM build.
Note 3: New mods to theme support in M2DC released today (Sept 30)
FAQ 2
Saving space for updates.
:::ONLY ONE ISSUE:::
When InCall Partial back button is displayed.
EVERYTHING else is easily fixable.
FAQ 3
Saving space for updates.
Using 7.3.1
1) Activesync is always on. Even after turning it off it restarts in background after some time.
2) Battery status icon on home page always shows full. Had to install a third party battery meter to show correct status.
Since this thread popped up i guess the issues i have that are notable.
1. activesync always re-opens im aware of a reg change that is possible to stop this but haven't been able to find it yet.
2. that back button when calling is REALLY annoying lol, someone needs to get/find a fix for that.
3. battery bars are inaccurate, i used one of the first things kidnamedalbert suggested and it works, until i soft reset the phone then it doesnt.
4. weather back round was first not alligned correctly, but it fixed itself after an install and uninstall of the feng shui theme.
5. still completely usable and i love this rom a lot
The fix that I have done:
* Using vistahide for battery status. Remove the today screen battery status icon using Schaps advance configurator.
What I can't fix:
* Half of backspace button is shown on call status screen. However if I lose the signal (happens very often in my apt ), the backspace button does not show.
Customizations, which may be useful for a few:
* Install vjbrisk to redirect calendar to thumbcal. After installation, rename vjbrisk.exe to calendar.exe, and rename a thumcal shortcut to vjtarget.lnk, then post the new calendar.exe and vjtarget.lnk in the \windows folder to redirect calendar to thumbcal.
* Reinstall newest google maps to main memory. It simply works after reinstallation.
my issue is when u flip the phone when its on the home screen it doesnt fit and it always goes back to portrait mode
I am having the landscape problem also, if it does flip to landscape it is cut off. Most the time it won't even flip!
I am having a problem with the Device lock, after a reboot the device lock works fine but once i unlock it...i can not lock it again. Which sucks because if i try to take it out of the belt clip when i am getting a call it always pushes the call to voicemail!
I was just about to search for these issues when i seen this new post. I'm going to search now...maybe someone from here will be in that search with the answers =)

Thats the thing i do try it manually, when i click on the Device Lock the phone beeps so i know i hit it but it never locks. I have tried using the shortcut under Accessories, tried putting a shortcut under Programs, I even went into the Windows folder and clicked Devicelock.exe. All of them do the same. i think it just might be corrupt. Can you up your devicelock.exe from your Windows folder?

The Same! With Version 7.3.1
And:
If I direct via Startmenu e.g. to the accessories folder and then want to go back, it sometimes happens, that it needs some minutes to show all Icons or hangs up!
PSShutXP doesn't safe the settings for an automatic reset!
And last:
If I want to add something to Programs Tab I have to press 2 times on the "+" Symbol on the button. the first time only the wait Symbol appears and fanishes, but nothing happens!
The same with adding weather and Contact

Heres an issue, when using a headset for music when you go to audio booster to try to change settings on the equalizer you CANT check the "On" Button. This was a problem with the STD version as well and thought that it was fixed in this release(OTP v7.3.1 TouchFlo 2D Final ) and it still isnt . Is my headset not compatible or is this just a bug with the software?
for me its google maps. when i had another rom on open touch biggy i believe it worked with the proxy last week. now it says i need data. yet my email works and the web doesnt on the opera anymore.

Cannot Connect popup windows - How do I turn it off?

In my house I have really bad reception. Some apps sometimes try to use my data connection to download updates. The problem is, if I don't have any reception at that time, a window pops up telling me it cannot connect.
How can I turn that off? I went through settings and notifications and couldn't find anything. I went through Schapp's Advanced Config and couldn't find it either. There must be a way to disable notification that the phone couldn't connect for data... so how do I do it?
deactivate data connection in comm manager. I use phonealarm which does it every night and have no more "cannot connect"-messages anymore.
Thanks for the reply... but that's not exactly what I'm looking to do.
I work from home so I'm home most of the day. I use my phone quite a bit to for certain tasks. I need the phone to be able to try and connect whenever it wants... I just don't want to be notified if it can not connect.

I haven't found a way to do this. However, I've written a program to handle those popups while using TomTom (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=458342), but there's no reason why you couldn't have something like that running all the time. It wouldn't stop the popups, but it would auto-close them for you within a short period of time.
Do you want me to write that for you?
Cheers,
Steve.
Thanks for the reply Steve and for offering to create an app for me.
But I don't think it would really solve my biggest issue... which is having the popup show every few minutes while I'm actually using the phone. It's faster for me to just click on the dismiss button.
So it doesn't look like there's a way to disable this "feature." You'd think there'd be a registry value to edit or something.
But thank you again for offering to help.

Yes, you would have thought there would be an option for this. A program to auto close the dialog could make it so that it literally just flicks up, and then disappears, but I agree it's not terribly satisfactory.
Cheers,
Steve
What you need is to turn off Auto Connecting, but you have to do manual using some registry edit software:
Change DWORD Value from "1" to "0" in:
HKCU\Software\HTC\ConnectionSetup\EnableAUTODetect

There's no ConnectionSetup under the HTC folder.

Desperate: How do I disable the Email LED notification?? (Sprint)

I am quite frustrated by now and have tried all tricks on this forum(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460368) to stop the email LED notification without any success. No matter what, the green blinking led comes up on receiving new email and would not go till I open the Email application and open an email.
Any ideas please?
have you tried this?

This is not supposed to work with TP2 I heard from everybody?
not sure never messed with notifications, but I recall reading somewhere on ppc issues w/ nueled. There are a couple other tweaks out there (this is for a tilt 2, so back up your registry because i'm not sure it will be the same).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580048
*edit*
This might work better because mr.x and mightmike created it (specifically for CDMA tp2)

I did try the cab - Not sure if this actually works for email (I was not concerned about it then) BUT this once screws up the Vibration on Keyboard/Phone pad everything and I had to uninstall it.
I will try the first link and let you know.

Im assuming you reset your device and then configured notifications once it was installed?

I did not reset my device. I installed the cab, configured the options and then must reset the device a few times for other reasons. Not doubting the efficacy of the fix, I never tested how well the cab actually works. I then realized (after quite a bit if sweat), that it was this cab, which screwed of the vibration on display keyboard. So I uninstalled it.
Now I am hunting to get the email LED notification out. I did find those registry tweaks and applied them. Infact, as I write, the check box for led is off for email.

A lot of times registry changes won't take place until a soft reset. I have made it a habit to soft reset after installing programs or making changes to verify everything works.

Enable LED Notification Setting in Sound and Notifications [with my changes for to make it work for Touch Pro2 but it should be good for HD2 as well.]
If you want to get the addresses for HTC HD2 just click the keys up and down in the same area of the registry, and look at what is specified. Or go to the link below for the original forum where I got the info from before I made modifications to their info to make it fit for Touch Pro2]
For Touch Pro2 running on stock ROM wm6.5 for Sprint:
Messaging: New Email Message
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Messaging: New Text Message
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]

Phone: Missed Call
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D660-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Phone: Voice Mail
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D661-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]

“AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)
Soft reset. Go to Sounds and Notifications, and uncheck "Flash light for" for each item that you fixed above. "Flash light for" will no longer be grayed out.

Does anyone know of any registry tweaks to disable the flashing red LED notification for low battery in Touch Pro2? I tried to disable it through the "Low battery warning" flash option in Sounds and Notifications menu of wm6, but that does not work. If you want to know how to enable "Low battery warning" in Sounds and Notifications menu, here are the instructions:
1. Search for the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\.
2. Create a new String value, name it Default and set its value to Low battery warning.
3. Now move to Start -> Settings -> Personal tab -> Sounds & Notifications applet -> Notifications tab, choose Low battery warning value from the Select an event drop-down menu and set whatever you want.
