Idk wats the problem but ever since i did hardspl on my phone active sync doesn't respond to my phone anymore but the problem was that that i was trying to flash with a customruu instead i used hardspl by mistake..so if anyone know how i can fix the problem it'll help..thanks

Hopefully someone can pls pls help me my MDA compact 2 its driving me nuts!
Basically the darn thing wont sync with my laptop, Ive followed the instructions correctly, ive disabled my mcAfee Firewall therefore when I connect it it looks like its going well the tool bar in Microsoft ActiveSync says that its connecting.......
But thats it.
It goes on for ages, Ive made sure that on the compact in the ActiveSync program the connection is allowed to all PC's. I went to the Modem link and made sure that the USB connection's status was active but this stopped the connection.
I'm not on the net, is that why??
Please someone help me! :? Im so confuzled!

You say you are trying to sync on a laptop.... is this a laptop that you use for work with a VPN client on it?
You describe the problems that I had... after a while I found that the AT&T VPN client that I used has a firewall that it turns on by default even if you are not connected via the client. I believe the cisco client is the same.

Does anyone have any further ideas on how we can keep all WiFi and BT Connections after a soft reset? I have looked into the Registry and nada... BT needs to re-pair after each soft reset (SR) and WiFi connections are no longer present after a SR.
Any Ideas? Otherwise everything seems great on this ROM...
And the ISP connection too.... There's a fix for this bug?

With regard to the problem. I have nghianga rom and found that if you don't reset with the stylus for it seams to work fine. I have been running for a week now with no problems and my phone gets reset every night by spb backup.
Indeed I think it has settled down properly as I did do a couple of stylus resets yesterday and it is still fine

same problem here... but if i try to set my email account again i get an alert that an accout with the same name already exists. but i can't see it. so where will all the settings that were lost when i (soft)reset my device be stored?

Before mine became stable I had that problem too. I couldnt find a solution anywhere :-( Fortunately I had a backup.
It is critical to have regular backups with these cutting edge ROM's
I highly recommend SPB Backup - mine backs up automatically at 5 every morning. There are problems restoring backups between different versions (eg. wm5 aku 2.2 and WM6) so I make sure I have syncronised with my PC too. And I use SMSbackup for my texts. I think there is also a Contactsbackup that works between versions.
Good luck - I have no problems at all with WM6 now

I haven't tried this as I don't need it at the moment, but you could try this to get your email accounts back

TRy this....for me solved the saving of Bt and Wifi settings........
After the configure of Bt and Wifi ...instead of softreset....i shut down the phone....when i turn on it again...the settings are working!!!!....and now also if i softreset ...the setting dont disappear...!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just that simple:
* configure Bluetooth, Wifi, Gprs
* create your E-Mail accounts
* shut down your device
* and restart
now you can softreset without loosing any of your settings.

If you have a recent (WM6/6.1) ROM, you should find "Internet Sharing" in the programs menu. It may also be in the comm manager.
Run that, activate the connection within it, and connect your device to your PC.

Not poking fun at you at all, just my experience with internet sharing has been.....to say the least, hit and miss.
Sometimes it works just like you say, other time I end up wanting to break the laptop over my knee, jump up and down on it till it turns to little techno dust beneath my feet, and mail it back to MS attn Bill Gates and tell him to shove it.

It's worked every time for me (except when I removed half the dlls...) and hasn't yet made me try and sue M$...
yes, internet sharing is the only way to go! the hermes section can assist u on future 8525 questions:

That was when I cooked a ROM...
WM6/6.1 has the dlls already there... XP/Vista need ActiveSync/WMDC and nothing else.

What I find that solves my problem, is to pace my phone in FLIGHT MODE, then exit FLIGHT MODE again.
i've already tried that bro.. nothing happened.. it didn't even helped me.. sometimes my Magician gets network signal.. but when i use it, the network signal disappears again.. can anybody help me? thanks in advance again guys.. god bless!

This happens to me all the time.
What I usualy do is to enable 'flight mode' then disable it again. At one point, I thought my internal antennae had gotten loose.
i don't know if it's the internal antenna.. but i already checked inside the unit.. i already tightened the screws and some loosed hardware.. tsk.. i hate it.. i can't use my phone when it's emergency..

Having some real trouble with this app, for some reason it will not work on my rooted nexus 10. I'd really love to use it to get my screen to turn off when connected to hdmi.
I've selected the settings to deactivate the screen when connected to HDMI but nothing seems to happen. If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated, I've already tried to contact the developer with no luck. I've already double checked my device is rooted so that doesn't seem to be the issue. It does have a "debugging" function, maybe that would help providing information on whats going on?
Otherwise it seems to be a great app which I would love to get working.
