Hi all,
Having some real trouble with this app, for some reason it will not work on my rooted nexus 10. I'd really love to use it to get my screen to turn off when connected to hdmi.
I've selected the settings to deactivate the screen when connected to HDMI but nothing seems to happen. If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated, I've already tried to contact the developer with no luck. I've already double checked my device is rooted so that doesn't seem to be the issue. It does have a "debugging" function, maybe that would help providing information on whats going on?
Otherwise it seems to be a great app which I would love to get working.
Cheers,
Tom

Just to make sure, in the settings for wifi advanced you've confirmed that you set it to never, right?
What app are you trying to stream with?
Yes I did all of those things. I am trying to stream sirius/xm app. This just freaking sucks

I was having this issue with stock as well. It worked randomly and sometimes a reboot might fix it. Hope you can find a proper way to fix this.

Okay, I suspect this is unique to the sirius app. I have it, so I'll try to play with it and see what results I get.
Does it do the same thing on cellular data?
Have you tried running a logcat of the phone to see if there's log messages that might be a clue as to what's going on?
It's not free, but you can also use the WunderRadio app to listen/stream Sirius programming. I never had problems with that one.
PS. Maybe you should edit the thread title to show this problem is with a specific app or type of app, not wifi sleep in general.

Its not Just the Sirius app its anything I use. The wifi shuts off about 2 minutes after the screen is off. I am currently searching the web for any solutions I can find.
I have also noticed that my wifi signal is not green and sometimes white.

Please run a logcat that shows the log activities at the time the wifi and streaming stop.

I can stream without issues using slacker and audiogalaxy over wifi. Are you running a custom rom or kernel?
I got it working guys. I don't know what I did but it works. Thanks for the help.

Sorry for the "1 Post Wonder" thread, but I have an issue with my HTC Trophy 7 running Mango.
I updated using the "plug pull" method, and pretty much everything works as I expected, except I don't have turn by turn voice navigation.
I still get the old turn by turn interface, but the voice navigation option is missing from the settings panel.
Has anyone else encountered this and is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks in advance..
P.s. I searched the forums for this issue, but didn't see any other helpful threads, so if I missed it, sorry >.>
EDIT:: Just read the pinned thread at the top about device specific queries.. If a mod could move this thread to the Q&A section, that would be much appreciated.
What version of Mango are you running? Make sure you updated to version 7720.68. You might have to perform the disconnect trick again.

Thanks for the reply albertleao,
I am running 7.10.7720.68 - So that would appear to be in order >.<
I have been using text to speed for messages and such, so all of those features are working
Having read around some more, I also tried changing my country in Hotmail to UK, tried changing all my phone settings to English (UK) etc, still no joy :\
Is there anything else I can try, or does my phone just not have it?
I guess the next question is, are there any official help contacts I can use.. I.e. HTC?
Bump!
Anyone got any information on this issue >.<
Hi
flash a unlocked rom an install the patched Navigon
you can find it in this forum.
There is also a way to use it with Australian maps.
And you will have a good offline Navi with all functions you need
I hoped this post helped
Hey all, this is my first post so if I'm doing something wrong here with posting please help me out.
I have recently flashed AOKP Build 36 onto my Samsung Galaxy S2 i777 (AT&T), and it works pretty great. It doesn't however connect to my car GPS that I hook it up to to play some tunes. I connect via bluetooth.
Heres what happens:
I go into the settings and click bluetooth. It shows me that my car stereo is there and connectable. I click it. It presses for a hot second, and then nothing happens. If I press it a few more times, it states that I have an invalid PIN to connect to it. Now I've been told that when I click on it, it should ask me for the PIN. It doesnt, it just does the above. I am brand new to ICS so perhaps I'm missing some setting somewhere.
So, on to the questions:
Is there a different place to enter the PIN before clicking on it?
Could this be a bug with the rom?
How do I fix it?
Thanks in advanced, you guys rock!
Additional info:
I got the rom from the samsung2root website. I cannot post links yet but hopefully its not to hard to find.
I have heard there are newer builds, but I am not sure they are available for my phone. The official AOKP website doesnt even list my phone as supported.
Just taking a guess here so don't crucify me if don't work have you tried changing the bluetooth settings as you're device might be on invisible check if it's disabled.

Lol, no its a good thought. I clicked on the make device discoverable button before trying to connect a few of the times, it didn't seem to help.
Alright, I figured it out. My car stereo was the issue. I had to re add my phone to the devices list. It thought with the new rom and all that it was a different phone.
Thanks anyway though guys!
This problem has been happening with any ROM I have, it has only started to happen recently, my Wi-Fi used to work flawlessley untill I changed ROM's, updated it's firmware etc etc. Would anyone know of a possible fix to fix this issue? Because it's really bugging me! I have Wi-Fi set to never sleep, and always be on... What am I doing wrong?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Regards,
Dave.
Hi Dave,
Don't expect much from my solution since I am still a noob but this once happened to my device and I installed WiFi Lock from Google Play and enable it. It fixed the issue for me. Hope it will also fix yours.

Thanks for your reply! I've tried what you suggested and sadly didn't work, I did find an app that forces high performance on my phone and that seems to fix the problem though I don't want my phone running Wi-Fi at max power... What happens with the app you suggested, it keeps the Wi-Fi signal, but transferring stops... Weird huh... With the High Performance Widget this doesn't happen. With sense based ROMs the Wi-Fi is working perfectly though.
Dave.
Just a little bump
Settings
Hi,
Check your WiFi policy in Settings, there's an option for this.
Hi All,
I have a fairly old Nexus S (Android 4.1.2). For some reason or other it switches itself off if not used for a few hours. I then have to go through a re-boot and PIN No. routine to use it again. While it is off I frequently miss calls.
I can't find anything in "Settings" which will enable me to adjust the period which it remains active.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi There,
Well i am sorry to say that either you didnt explain your problem correctly or i didnt get it properly well all i can say that there is some kind of a Bug in your device which switches it off by it self.
You can try This:
*Factory Reset your device.
OR
*Reinstall the Rom.
